Remarque, despite his busy civilian life, still found time to be out and about. Sometimes he was able to spend time with members of the Dark Mirror Court, and sometimes he managed to run into the other powered folk of Destiny City. Tonight, he was in the city he'd grown up in, mostly for a breather. Things at the house were going well, but he knew he wasn't going to have that quiet for long. He had what affairs he could manage tied up, but he wasn't one to sit idly about and wait.
So, Eternal Sailor Remarque was strolling about as if he owned the place.
Because, in a way, he did.
At least, in his own mind.
This was his territory, and anyone would be a fool to claim otherwise. He was tolerant, of course, and didn't care what others did. As long as they weren't hurting the people he needed unhurt, and as long as he wasn't giving him trouble.
The energy signature of a Knight in the distance, for example, he let be.
He walked nearer to them, though it was not intentional (not entirely, at least). It was habit. And the fact that this was his usual route. But he wasn't seeking out trouble, nor was he driven for communication. He was placid, easy-going, tonight. Complacent.
…But undeniably curious to know who was lurking around, despite it all.Aurelius Ambrosius Please let me know if this is okay <3 I will get the other one up soon!

The strange chaos aura caught Hyperborea's attention. She had been on patrol when she felt the unusual eternal aura. She had felt it before when she had met Leto, there was a dark mirror senshi nearby.
She decided to head towards the aura, her meeting with Leto had been pleasant enough however she still had many questions about the workings of this chaos court.
As the owner of the aura came into view Hyperborea saw it was a blond man dressed in purple green and black. From the way he walked he seemed to be rather full of himself, or at Hyperborea thought so. None the less she would be polite.
"Bonsoir. Could I talk with you for a bit monsieur?" She said as she walked up to him. "I am Hyperborea of Cosmos." She introduced herself formally.
"You are a member of the Dark Mirror court yes? I spoke to one of your members before, sailor Leto. However I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about your court." She asked the blond man.

Remarque cocked his head to the side when he was addressed and he greeted the woman with a nod. He turned to face her and gave her a quick look over.
"You can ask me anything you like, Hyperborea of Cosmos. I hope Leto was treating you well enough. I thought she still had a thing against knights, so it's a pleasure to see you still so eager to approach a member of the Dark Mirror Court. I," he held out a hand to shake, "Am Remarque. Senshi of Puppetry."
He had time tonight, and if a Knight wanted to ask about the Court, he'd give her a good show. It was a good reminder that there were people out there who knew little, if anything, and that gave their enemies way too many opportunities to spread propaganda.
Then again, he didn't know what they were even saying these days. About Leto, or him, or the Court. He would gladly exchange his information for hers.

Hyperborea shook the offered hand. "It's a pleasure sailor Remarque."
She'd be lying if she said his sphere didn't disturb her a little, the thought of magic based around the concept of puppetry was unnerving to say the least. She was glad he wasn't attacking her, at least not yet,
"We only spoke a little but if she had a grudge against me she didn't show it." She said, from what she remember of her encounter with the older senshi she wouldn't have guessed she had a thing against knights specifically.
She thought about how to ask her questions. "Your court's chaos feels different from the Negaverse's, less....wrong. Like if order auras were day your auras feel like night, not the kind of evil the negaverse's auras feel like. So I don't think your court is fundamentally evil as they are but what exactly are the goals of the Dark Mirror?" She asked in a polite tone.
"Also I was wondering if the Dark Mirror is allied with the Negaverse?"

"Oh, we're far from evil," Remarque said with an indifferent shrug. "There's a problem in the ranks of Knight and Senshi where we are often assumed to be up to no good, but you ought to spend your concern on the Negaverse. Who were are not aligned with."
He sounded bitter, or bothered, but his nose wrinkled. "There was a time when we needed their protection. You must understand, the Dark Mirror is much smaller. We would have been wiped out had they not. It was an alliance of necessity, but those bonds have broken. We would rather stand on our own and face the disadvantage in numbers than be roped into their destructive ideals. They don't think Senshi belong on this earth so they seek to eradicate them. We don't think Senshi belong on this Earth because there's a whole universe out there. Parts if it with our names carved on them. We ought to at least have access to them, don't you think?"
It was a rhetoric question and he shrugged again. "Our goals are to reopen space. In the event if Earth's demise, it's best to be prepared, and it is selfish and ignorant to think if we are protectors of one pocket of space, we can ignore the rest. Especially the ones we are linked to. Why, what are your goals?"

"Je suis désolé. I meant no offense. I have heard next to nothing about your court and my only experience with chaos has taught me that it is a corrupting and evil force." She said hoping she had upset the older senshi with her questions.
"It is reassuring to hear that the Dark Mirror is different. And though my opinion may not mean much I think it speaks volumes of the character of your court that you broke away from the Negaverse even if it puts you at a disadvantage." Her words were genuine, she understood how a small court might feel they needed the protection of the Negaverse but that they had the courage refuse to be a part of Metalia's evil plans any longer was impressive.
Hyperborea found it very curious that these Dark Mirror senshi could not travel to space, she could only assume it was because they gave up their connection to their worlds when they joined this court. "I agree with you, no one should ever be cut off from the wonders and planets that are of our birthrights and namesakes."
"My goals?" She asked a little surprised that he was at all curious about her. "Well I guess my goals are to see peace return to the galaxy, the peace that the silver millenium enjoyed, and the restoration of the worlds and wonders, I want to see them returned to their former glory and filled with life again. But before any of that can happen the Negaverse must be eliminated and Metalia crushed and broken." She said a dark expression crossing her face. While she did have sympathy and mercy for individual agents her hatred of the negaverse as an organization burned brightly.
"Have you ever considered working with order? Together we would put the Negaverse at a major disadvantage and maybe the white moon could help you find a way to reestablish your connection to space."

Remarque tilted his head to the side and seemed amused. "I work with the White Moon, when it benefits them. But there are those that would scoff at the notion of any true alliance. I've seen members of the White Moon take the lives of those of my Court, so forgive me if I take hesitation with any offer."
He didn't seem offended, and it was true that the prospect appealed to him. He would take an ally wherever he could find them.
But he was more than just any Senshi in the Court, and he looked after the either members with a particular protectiveness.
"But I have allies within your ranks. For what it's worth. Your zealots drive us off, but unfortunately they are already polluting the minds of the newer Senshi. And Knights, the same of them. The Dark Mirror has the advantage of freedom, unsworn to any would-be Moon Queen. But your goals do not seem to be so different from ours. It is a shame the Dark Mirror has no knights of our own. You would be a welcome addition."

"There are extremest on both sides, I'm sorry for the senshi of your court who died to white moon hands. I believe killing an opponent should always be a last resort. But there are more reasonable senshi and knights, and even royals who I think would gladly make an alliance with the dark mirror even if only to eliminate the Negaverse." She said though she was glad to hear he wasn't against the idea of working with order completely.
"Technically speaking I'm only sworn to the princess of the stars and she is a being far greater than some moon queen who died a thousand years ago." She said with a laugh.
She didn't actually know that much about the inner workings of the Silver Millennium but as far as she was concerned neither her ancestors nor herself were ever sworn to Serenity, they were sworn to Cosmos and as far as she knew Cosmos did not serve the moon queen.
She blushed when he said she'd make a welcome addition to the Dark Mirror if they took knights. "Merci, I hope you'll at least think of me as an ally and maybe a friend to your court even if I don't wear your colors." She said with a bright smile.
Although she wasn't sure she would accept his offer even if she could be a part of his court. After all she was a Cosmos knight, she couldn't betray her order by pledging herself to another princess.
"Could you tell me a bit more about the mechanics of Dark Mirror senshi. I heard that your court was born when an order princess, Ares, went through some strange mirror. So are you all sworn to her, like knights are sworn to their princess or prince, or are you connected to some other power? And do your senshi have any unique abilities?"

"I wouldn't put my name up there in any formal alliance," Remarque said. "Unfortunately, the Negaverse has the advantage of knowing many of our identities. And I've a family to protect, so you won't see me making a public spectacle of opposition."
He could take care of himself, there was no doubt about that. Raven might even be able to take care of herself, but he wouldn't put her in danger if he could avoid it. Plus, they'd have a baby to take care of in—what, only days, now?
"But I'll take a friend to the Court. And I'll keep my eye on you when it matters. If you need aid, you can call. Just don't drag my name everywhere. There's a certain power in discretion. I expect you to utilize it on all matters where I am involved, please."
It was barely a request and seemed more like a politely delivered demand.
"As for Ares, pay her no mind. She is of distant importance." There was a bite of bitterness in his voice, but he carried on. "She was a Parallel. A starseed from another universe. She worked with Order, but she was not among them. She entered a Mirror—the Parallels were from a universe beyond the Mirror—and she came back, changed. There are things, in that between space from one mirror to another—one universe to another—and one of them found her. She brought its power back to this world and distributed it. But make no mistake, she might have laid the path for this Court, but I do not serve her. My will is my own."
He paused, glanced at her, and then did something relatively unexpected for the Dark Mirror Senshi who kept his other form tucked away for special occasions.
Eternal Sailor Remarque, in a flash of power and color, then appeared before Hyperborea as Prince Remarque.
"And the will of others."

"Oh that's unfortunate, but I completely get your reasons." She said a bit disappointed but she didn't blame Remarque, family always comes first in her opinion. "The negaverse's cowardice knows no bounds. To threaten innocent civilians, essentially hold families hostage."She said anger and sadness in her voice.
She did smile a bit when he said that he would think of her as a friend. "Merci, and don't worry I understand discretion. If you don't want it I won't give your name out to anyone."
"Interesting, I'd be fascinated to explore this in between plain. If Ares brought back a power that created the DMC what else could be out there." She mused out loud.
Her musing were cut short however when she was suddenly overwhelmed by an oppressive aura. In a flash the eternal senshi vanished and in his place stood a prince.
Hyperborea instinctively took a step back from the dark mirror prince. She got her wits back and stopped. "I didn't realize. I'm honored to meet you, your highness." She said politely with a curtsy.

Remarque seemed amused with the curtsy.
"I like my discretion," he said, but shrugged, smoothing out his already smooth coat. "But I figured, since your questions were so polite, I might as well be honest with you. Ares is a worn out name. You'll find senshi now, Eternal, who have never seen nor heard of her. Perhaps she'll return. Perhaps not."
He shrugged.
"The Court is the Court's and it belongs to no one. We are free from Queens. Self-proclaimed or otherwise." He was once grateful to Ares.
But he didn't have Leto's bonds.
His interactions with her had been few, and while he was grateful for what promotions she did bestow, as far as he was concerned, he did the rest on his own.
She hadn't made him Prince.
She hadn't given him that power.
It was his, and his alone, and he'd be damned if he was going to listen to a woman who abandoned her Court.
He'd have fought her for it if she tried to take it from them.
But that was neither here nor there.
"Mirrorspace is an interesting place. Perhaps if you show me your world, I'll show you mine."
A bargain he would always offer; he craved the homeworlds of senshi and knights in a way he wouldn’t have, had he never seen the Surrounding. He couldn’t see his own world, but he was doing all that he could to fill the gaping need he felt for it. It was a meager substitution, but it was all he had.

Kyuseisha no Hikari did you want to take this into space? "Ah I see. I heard the name from a veteran princess. I suppose her information was just outdated." She said with a shrug. "But I appreciate that you trust enough to be honest about your standing."
"So are you the only royal in your court now, I would imagine your court still looks to you for direction even if the DMC have no official sovereign." She said with a small smile, happy to know that the dark mirror didn't blindly follow anyone.
"The gates of Hyperborea are always open to travelers. If you'd like to see my city I'd be happy to oblige." She said offering her hand. In truth she wasn't a hundred percent sure she could take people aligned with chaos to her wonder, but she kept those doubts to herself.

"Not the only," Remarque clarified, eying the offered hand. There was a brief internal debate; usually he was a little more prepared for distant space travel, or they both agreed to collect themselves and meet up at a later date. But this was an offer, for now, and he was ready to take it.
"There is also Leto, a Princess now. Though I haven't seen much of her, and we both have our own ideas on how to run things. Personally, I'm quite fond of the way I run things, but we haven't butted heads too much. Yet."
He did not wait much longer and then he reached out to take her hand. "I would like to see your city, if you are offering. Your wonder, can you see the stars?"
He missed them. Like they had been out on the Surrounding.Aurelius Ambrosius That works for me! Though if they are going into Deep Space we might have to end this RP and then start up a new one with them on her homeworld to keep with the forum rules <3

Kyuseisha no Hikari That's fine I'll do up a start for the trip to her wonder! fin. "The stars are very beautiful from the acropolis." She replied with a genuine smile of delight. As he took her hand she began reciting the pledge.
"I pledge my life and loyalty to Cosmos, and to Hyperborea. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine." She repeated the pledge.
With that the prince and squire vanished from the Earth in a flash.
