Mitireo Kisses was out for her morning practice run. This was something that she made sure to do everyday... Though it didn't always happen. She certainly tried to make it happen! And today was a day it happened. As she stood stretching her legs, she made up her mind on where it was she wanted to run today. She usually liked to make sure the route she took was nice to look at. Cause if she decides to stop, she likes to have a nice place to rest. Looking up at the sky and whatever else is around her. It makes for a much more peaceful experience. Much different from the races that she often participated in. But that's the way it should be. Races should be full of stress and adrenaline and then practice should be relaxed to help concentrate better on her muscles movements.
Finally deciding, she started out toward a meadow that she had seen about a week before. It was a nice large meadow with lots of relaxing greenery and shady places. So if she decides she needs to relax, there will be plenty of things to eat and places to lay down. If she thought about it, she may even have seen a small stream along the edge of the meadow. It would be a nice place for a drink before she headed back. She puffed up a bit and took a deep breath, shaking herself out. It was time to head out for her run. It was important now that she's decided to actually get out there and just go for it!
Mintireo headed right out toward the meadow, though excited, she made sure to start out at a slow trot. She didn't want to wear herself out right away after all. She wanted to make sure that she had plenty of steam for the rest of the morning.
Time wore on a bit and she decided that maybe it was time to go a bit harder to get to the meadow and perhaps her first rest? She shook her head since she shouldn't be thinking about such a thing already. Only just started and already thinking of a break is not something a racer of her caliber should be thinking of! She shook her head harder and concentrated on her breathing. It was an important thing to concentrate on every once in a while. She needed to make sure that she wasn't breathing too heavily while she was running hard. That was one of the most important things to remember in a race. Not only do you want to win, you want to make sure that your health isn't being impacted while you run. This means paying attention to your breathing, where you place your hooves, and how you are using your muscles. If you are doing well, there should only be a light burn running through the muscles you are using. But not so much that your lungs are on fire and all you want to do is stop. She was making sure her head was in the game. That was all there was to it.
**OOC: I like to quote when I reply, would that work out well? xD**

Xanthophyceae was distracted as usual. He had been munching on some grass when he's seen some ants. They were not typical ants, they seemed to be fractionally larger than ordinary ants. Why were they larger? Was it the location of their ant hill? They were certainly not a different breed of ant, so something in their surroundings or their diet must be making them larger than other ants. Captivated by the mystery of the ants, Xan put his nose to the ground and followed the trail toward where their anthill would be. They were carrying tiny pieces of what looked like some sort of candy. Could candy produce these kind of effects in ants? Was a sugar rush actually able to make ants bigger? He couldn't wait to find it. His nose firmly to the ground following the trail, he did not see that he was, in fact, about to walk into the direct path of someone speeding his way.

Mintireo gained a bit of speed as she tried to make it to the meadow sooner rather than later. She wanted to lay on the grass in some shade and drink from that wonderful stream as soon as possible now. Not because she was particularly tired, she just thought it sounded way better than actually training to run. As a racer it really shouldn't be something that had even crossed her mind, but she was sometimes lazy. Perhaps too lazy for a racer? Eh, she just didn't feel like training sometimes is all.
As all this was in her mind, she closed her eyes, never even seeing what was about to hit her. Or rather what she was about to trip over!
Suddenly her hooves were in the air and she seemed to fly over the other and land squarely on her face. It was really a bad thing to land on. A face that is. She still wasn't sure what she had tripped over so she couldn't say if that had been a bad thing to end up landing on.
Slowly she rolled onto her side to look at what had been in her running path. What it was that hadn't seen her coming and just sat there as she came over near top speed trying to get to the meadow. What she saw kind of surprised her. Another Soquili had been looking at something on the ground and had been paying no attention at all to what was around him.
Nyx Queen of Darkness Sorry it took so long! I had thought I replied already.

Xanthophyceae had been studying the ants, pausing in his movements for a half second. He'd leaned down closer to the ground, his mind whirring in captivated by what they were doing. Then suddenly something struck him very hard. All the air whooshed out of his lungs as he fell to the ground with something quite heavy on top of him. Then something shifted and he caught his back. He was just about to say something about the heaviness and sorry that it was probably his fault when he saw her. She was a most unusual shade of green, like mint. "My pardon," Xan pushed to his feet a little out of breath. "I should watch where I was going. I was just following some ants that were carrying off pieces of candy." He felt his face blush profusely which made no sense at all.

Mintireo kind of stared at the other small stallion for a moment. She really couldn't believe that he was just there. Just staring at something as small and inconsequential as ants. Why ants of all things? What could possibly be so interesting that they are doing? Really? Carrying away candy. Though she did wonder a bit about what kind of candy the little ants were carrying. What kind of candy would be out here? Did he give it to them just to see what they would do? All of these thoughts kind of whirled around in her head in a moment. She shock her head a bit as she caught herself thinking about these things. These things that were pointless in the long run.
Carefully she took a breath, he body hurt as she did. Her lungs and head were probably the worst. It really was terrible when she could feel seemingly everything in her body. Slowly she took another breath. It was better than the first, which was good news. Shaking her head again, she looked over at the stallion. He was interesting looking. Being almost all white and then having bright green seeming to glow out from him. It was an interesting thing to see, for sure. Something that she had never seen before! Carefully she moved to her other side, not wanting to really chance getting up off the ground yet. Not wanting to find out if she potentially broke something. Mintireo would find that out a bit better. There was no hurry to be had anyway. No place that she had to run off to.
Then it came to her ears. His voice rang out in apology. She almost felt bad that he had given it, though she wasn't sure why. It was at least half his fault that this crash happened. Though maybe she could have done something to avoid running into him... Maybe...
As he spoke about watching the ants, a bright pink blush came over his face. It was rather cute. She had seen this look plenty of times before, though she wasn't sure he realized he was embarrassed to explain about being sorry or the ants. It was kinda silly.
Mintireo couldn't stop it. She giggled a bit. It was just too funny. The entire situation of him watching ants taking away candy and the fact that he seemed like it was a silly explanation and all. It was certainly something that would be worth staying around for a bit longer. Maybe she could see where these ants were going too? It wasn't something she would normally consider doing, but it couldn't be a bad thing?
She smiled at the little stallion, "I accept your apology. I'm sorry I couldn't seem to have done anything and gotten out of the way before we ended up colliding." Smiling again she slowly got up onto her front feet and pulled up her back feet. She was standing. This was a good sign. "So these ants are really that interesting? Is there something special about them?"
Nyx Queen of Darkness My goodness have I been terrible with responding to things >>
