Two years ago eight friends traveled into the woods to stay the weekend at one of their parents cabins. They loaded up their cars with liquor, blankets, and snack foods preparing for what was going to be the best last weekend together. They would all go away to college at the end of the summer, the first time the group would be apart in four years. They found each other freshman year and became a group shortly after. If they banded together, they’d be safe, right? Well, together they managed to survive high school.
This weekend was supposed to be the last hurrah. But it ended in two untimely deaths of their friends, Sarah and Marshall. They were brother and sister, and it was their parents lodge. Strange things began happening that Thursday night when they arrived. But they were drinking and ignored it. Turns out, the next day, the siblings were missing. Nobody had any memory of their disappearance, so they took to the woods to locate them, thinking they were gathering wood, or trying to freak them out. One of the girls found them a ways into the woods, bodies left to bleed out on the ground. Her shriek attracted the rest of the group, cops swarmed the land, but nobody was ever found guilty. Even after extensive questioning, the remaining group members were released, found innocent, and left to mourn their friends.
Two years later, after hardly speaking as they all started their college tracks, they returned home. They asked their friends parents if they could visit the cabin again, in honor of their fallen friends. Only this time, they expected it to be a weekend of remembering, instead it began a weekend of torture.
Now it’s up to them to solve their murders, and the strange things happening, before time runs out and they all end up like their friends…

→→☆Avi Jebediah King☆←←

Jello you can call me Avi. I was born in 1994, making me 21.

ℓ❤ℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Avi has always been the prime example of the perfect Jewish boy. He always went to Temple never complained he was just the best son a couple could ask for. Well, that's at least how his parents saw him. How his friends saw him was someone completely different. Avi was a major partier. Always down for a good time. Ever since he was a little bitty freshman crashing senior parties he was known as the animal. Able to out drink anyone. Including his girlfriendm though she would disagree. He was surprised when he migrated towards his group. But it seemed from the moment they met they were destined to be the best group of friends for forever.

How ever that all changed on the celebration night of their graduation. Avi claims doesn't remember too much of that night. That it hasn't come back to him to this day. All that he remembers is the getting drunk dancing with his Vienna and then waking up the next morning to find his friends dead in the woods. He remembers all the events following extremely clearly. The months of intensive questioning. The invasive searches, his face blasted everywhere. He couldn't get away from the murders he couldn't get away from the ghosts of his best friends. It didn't help that he got accepted to the University of Washington. All of his friends escaped and he still had to live like nothing happened. But it happened. And he remembers more than he lets on.

»--» »--»
Personality:
Avi is one of the most relaxed people you'll ever meet. Almost always he has a smile on his face and a "let's party" attitude. He's very loyal to his friends though he hasn't talked to most of them in almost forever. Avi has never really had thick skin so he gets quite upset when he gets teased. The tolerance he has for bullshit is pretty low and doesn't take well to being yanked around. All in all he's a sweet and caring guy if you give him the respect he thinks he deserves.

Hello you can call me Harley. I was born in 1993, making me 22.

ℓℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Harley Elnora Jones. It's an average name for a girl who was raised to be more than average. From a very young age her parents enrolled her in every sport that was "appropriate" for a little girl. Cheer, gymnastics, she was even in winter guard at one point. Harley appreciated the drive her parents gave her. They taught her sometimes you need to claw your way to the top to be remembered. Blonde, beautiful, and sporty, she always had boys chasing her and the attention was fantastic. She just wasn't that into boy part of that equation. It was in freshman year that she realized why. When she met Blake everything changed and time stopped. Well kinda. They hit it off at first but Harley has always needed a challenge. Something more to keep her interest. After dating through junior year Harley became bored. And turned to their friend Sarah. As far as any of their friends knew she was straight and the perfect challenge.

Much to Harley's disappointment when they did get together the only challenge was keeping their relationship from Blake. Sarah pushed constantly for her to just break up with Blake. It was a constant conflict. Harley loved Blake. All she wanted Sarah for was sex and fun. So no way was she gonna ditch their arrangement. It was a power thing. The day they graduated Sarah told Harley she was gonna go public with what they were doing. And she was gonna start with telling Blake. Brain scrambled and panicky she tried to come up with a plan. Get everyone drunk. That was a good plan. No one would remember the night or anything possibly said. It worked for the most part…except for The siblings ending up dead….but hey it was just a problem solved…right? Until the investigation, no one knew. After she was outed by one ridiculous bumbling cop Blake broke up with her…and needless to say they haven't talked or seen each other since. This memorial is gonna be so fun.

»--» »--»
Personality:
Harley has never been one to back down from a challenge. She is very hard headed and nothing stops her from achieving her goals. She's the type to throw you under the bus to climb higher without any hesitation what so ever. From the very beginning that's what she's been taught. Her only weakness has always been her little chosen family.

Hey you can call me DJ. I was born in 1993, making me 22.

ℓℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Dane has always been a simple person with very few needs. Raised on the bare minimum, Dane has always been happy just where he is in life. Anything that comes at him he's taken with a good sense of humor and a lot of sarcasm. When he came out as gay freshman year and his parents kicked him out he accepted it with little to no complaint. Started working part time, and got a fake ID, scrounging just enough to live in a crappy motel room. But he loved it, he was on his own and free. He was lighter.

When he met Levi he was pretty taken. But being the shy emotionally stunted young man he was it took him a while to own up to his attraction. Even after they became friends. It wasn't until one night, sophomore year, when he was lonely in his little room that he called Levi over. The ball rolled quickly from there. They fell into a fast relationship with a lot of passion. It all happened too fast and DJ finally knew what it was like to have someone to lean on. After him and Levi got together DJ was far more active in their friend group. Always in on everything. He even went to parties with them like he never dreamed he would have the courage to do.

The only one of the group that he didn't mesh well with was Marshall. He had a tendency to take teasing to the very next level. He went for the throat and then tried to pass it off as "being funny" and "just teasing". It pissed DJ off to no end. And the night of their graduation party, though mostly a blur, he remembers confronting his friend about it….and that's it. Or is it?

After that night and they were allowed to leave the city DJ decided to move to California for UCLA he wanted to be a lawyer. But he didn't want to leave Levi behind. He begged the boy to come with him and was pleasantly surprised when he agreed. Their relationship hasn't been the best this past year but DJ hopes that this short vacation will change something.

»--» »--»
Personality:
DJ is a quiet boy, mostly. Though he does have an amazing sense of humor. He loves to see his friends and especially his boyfriend laugh. He doesn't really know how to express his feelings and isn't too open when it comes to bad emotions in his life. Having had to rely on his self for most of his life has made him pretty emotionally stunted but Levi brings out the best in him, most of the time. He has a hot headed side if you get him in the right mood at the right moment, but just pray it never comes to that.

→→☆Blake Ellis Logan☆←←

Hello you can call me Blake. I was born in 1994, making me twentyyyone.

ℓ❤ℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Despite her drug addict parents leaving her behind as a baby and being raised by her mother's parents, Blake turned out shockingly well. After the incident, after graduating at the top of her class, she applied as pre-med in Arizona. She was accepted, of course. After four years of hard work in and outside of school. Her mother and father never wanted to see her, she doubted they even remembered they had a daughter. They used to come over, beg for money, and sleep at her house for the night. But Gram would keep her away from them, said she didn’t need that in her life.
Instead, they’d sit up together drinking milk, eating cookies, and playing cards. Her childhood was good, only improving when her parents stopped coming around. She went to school, made friends with a good group and Freshman year realized she was into chicks. Amazingly, her grandpa was the one that was okay with it, promised her heartbroken gram would come around. And about a year later, upon meeting Harley, she accepted her happiness and encouraged her once more. Until it came out that Harley was cheating on her with Sarah. Her now-dead best friend. Her and Sarah had been so close at one point... She was the whole reason that Blake was even in the friend group. Blake was a studious, head in her book kind of gal. But Sarah pulled out this fun side of her, made her feel alive. Then she betrayed her, stabbed her in the back. And she found out after she died. How do you feel anger towards your dead best friend?
That was when Blake cut all ties with everyone, escaping to college and burying herself in her school work and side job as a barista. Everything was fine, at least on the surface. She didn’t make friends really, a few people to go out with sometimes, a few study buddies, but nothing serious. No personal business. She kept everyone at an arm's length, further if possible. Until her gram got sick. She enrolled in online classes to finish out the Spring semester, decided on an english class for over the summer, and came home to Washington State to tend to her gram, aiding her in healing from her stroke. One day, early summer, when she was writing an english paper, an email popped up from one of her friends, it was a group message with all of them tagged, planning a trip to the cabin in honor of their fallen friends.
She hadn’t spoken to any of them since she found out about Harley and Sarah. She cut everyone out. Not that they didn’t try… But she just didn’t want anything to do with any of it. She wanted a new start, something else to strive for, broken heart or not. But her gram insisted she see her old friends, maybe it would help heal her hostility. She hadn’t missed her outbursts, the fits. Blake sent a thumbs up emoji three days after receiving the details of the trip, and began packing. She would be picked up the next day.

»--» »--»

Blake is ambitious. She graduated at the top of her class, only followed closely by Sarah. At her best, Blake is smart, a little pretentious, and goal oriented. She’s always been focused and a little ahead of everyone else. Her grandpa always called her an old soul. At her worst, she is hostile, defensive, and deceitful. If necessary, she would lie to her closest confident if it meant getting ahead for her. She has no problems cutting cords or throwing others under the bus to save herself.
But when she is healthy, she is admirable, helpful, and giving.
Threes are self-assured, attractive, and charming. Ambitious, competent, and energetic, they can also be status-conscious and highly driven for advancement. They are diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with their image and what others think of them. They typically have problems with workaholism and competitiveness. At Their Best: self-accepting, authentic, everything they seem to be—role models who inspire others. Basic Fear: Of being worthless Basic Desire: To feel valuable and worthwhile.

Where the party at? you can call me Vee or Vienna. I was born in ‘94, making me TWENTYYONEE!.

ℓ❤ℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Disconnected from mother figure, bipolar. Her dad tried to step in as nurturer, but as a kid she still recognized her mother's neglect. Eventually, at the age of nine, she found her mother dead in the bathroom, her wrists bloodied.
That night haunted her for years. She went through therapy, but her family had fallen apart. There was no support system. Her older brother had gone off to college and basically dropped off the planet after that. Her dad was a shell of a person. She had nobody. Until about freshman year when she finally fit into a group. Before that she had been the party girl who bounced from party to party, group to group. She’d sleep with just about anyone attractive willing to give her attention, or a place to rest her head. She only found love when she met her boyfriend through her group. They hadn’t fallen in love too quickly, it took time and nurturing to bring her feelings and emotions out. But one drunken night did the trick, and all the secrets spilled out. He knew her, inside and out. Everything about her. And he loved her, better than anyone else before him. She was even learning to control her addictions and abusive drinking habits.
Everything was going well until college came up. He decided to stay local, save money and all that. But she got into an art college in New York… And after everything that happened with the cabin and her friends death and the drama splitting everyone up, he encouraged her to go, follow her dreams. So, she did. And they struggled with the distance. But this summer she took a break to come home, which was when the idea sparked for a reunion.

Personality:

Uninhibited. Manic. Accomplished. Enthusiastic.
She is deeply appreciative and grateful for her life at her best. She is enthusiastic about even the simplest of things. She appreciates little gestures, but also holds onto the little bad things. Can be materialistic. She tends to exaggerate stories, especially to make herself seem more acceptable. Greedy, with an addictive personality. She’s demanding, pushy, and gets what she wants. Her moods are liable to swing from one end of the spectrum to the other in moments. Prone to anxiety, claustrophobia.

Sevens are extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, and practical, they can also misapply their many talents, becoming over- extended, scattered, and undisciplined. They constantly seek new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. They typically have problems with impatience and impulsiveness. What’s upp? you can call me Levi (Lee-vie). I was born in ‘93, making me 22.

ℓ❤ℓ
ι'νє ¢σмє тσσ ƒαя тσ тυяη αяσυη∂:

Levi was adopted into your all American Christian family. He was supposed to be their miracle baby, the perfect little brown baby to show off. All because his mother couldn’t get pregnant. But then five years later his perfect blonde haired baby sister was born. Suddenly, he was outcast. It didn’t matter how great he was at piano, guitar, and drums… Basically every musical instrument he touched it was like he was meant to play it. He was talented, but nobody nurtured it. He withdrew from the family, turned to writing his own songs and playing his music. He was in his own bubble until Marshall befriended him in eighth grade. He helped him get through into high school, made sure he didn’t get picked on.. Well, by anyone but him. Levi realized he was into guys by crushing on Marshall, who would never let him forget it. Marshall was definition straight. Textbook straight. It was confusing because Levi knew he was into him, but he was also into girls. And boy was Marshall’s sister pretty. But she never seemed interested in his early, very subtle passes. So he let it go pretty quickly. Especially after being introduced to DJ. By sophomore year he was practically begging for a shot with him. Your typical bad boy. But suddenly his petty crush on Marshall seemed like childs play. He was in love for the first time. And it was hard to keep that a secret. Once his parents found out, they told him he had two options, either keep his trap shut until he left for college, or get out. For a while, he chose to keep quiet. Even when DJ finally gave him a shot. He didn’t decide to be himself, come out, and leave until that night in DJ’s motel room. He convinced him, and they grew serious. And once that happened, he couldn’t lie anymore. His sister cried. His father screamed, called him the worst names. But he did it. Levi had saved the money to get himself a nice place, and moved DJ in as soon as he convinced him to. They were madly in love, the disgusting type of love. Finally, everything felt right. Until their friends were murdered in the woods while they celebrated graduating high school…
The next few months were grueling. Who did it? Why? Marshall was his best friend. And everything fell apart from there. The girls broke up, Vienna went away to New York, and DJ got into UCLA… He wanted him to move with him. And really, what did he have here? He had no plans, no path. So he packed up and followed the love of his life to sunny California.
And hated it.
But now they were visiting home for the summer, got an email about the group getting back together in memory… It had been so long. They hadn’t even spoke. Blake wouldn’t return anyones calls or texts, the only reason they knew she was alive was because her Gram would make sure to update Vienna and Vienna would spread it around if anyone asked how she was. But everyone was distanced. They hardly talked to Avi, who had to stay back. Everything was a mess. Everything. But Levi would give anything for this trip to heal them.

»--» »--»
Personality:

Levi is sensitive and soulful. He is always emotionally vulnerable, and creative. But also moody, he absorbs into himself whenever things get rough. Once he feels vulnerable he pulls away. He feels as though he is constantly trying to build himself, but sticks himself hiding behind others. He continues to struggle to find his own identity.

Avi

It was a cold friday afternoon. Pretty average for Washington. Kinda rainy but more like the bullshit kinda rain that was more mist than anything. Avi grumbled silently in the driver's seat of his brand new SUV. He wasn't gonna be the one to break the silence that hat enveloped the car from the instant the whole group was together. It was odd. They'd never been this quiet around each other before...not until two years ago that is. After the death of Sarah and Marshall nothing had been the same. That became truly apparent when Avi had picked Vienna up from the airport. Her hair was rainbowy and she seemed different. But the same. Like she was a freshman again.

Swallowing hard, Avi looked at the bunch in the rear view mirror. Harley was staring out the window with her usual scowl on, the group hadn't been too impressed with her when they found out her involvement with Sarah. But they'd gotten over it a lot faster than Blake obviously had. And with good reason, Avi told himself. DJ was nervously rubbing his hands together and his leg was bouncing. There was obviously some serious anxiety. He was worrying his lip between his teeth and staring off in the same direction as Harley.

Okay, Avi, suck it up and make this a night to remember. Starting now. He mentally prepared himself to break the silence. "So long time no see guys. Tell me about your lives...not all at once." He said with a smile though no one but Vienna probably saw it.

Blake Ellis Logan

Blake sat in the back of the SUV beside Levi, which she found totally weird. She, of course, jumped into the car whenever they all met up and rushed to the back. She wanted to be as far away from everyone as possible. Though, if she had to pick anyone here to awkwardly sit in the back with, it'd be Levi. She just didn't understand why he didn't wanna cuddle with his boy in the middle seats... they were always so lovey dovey. She pondered this before Avi interrupted, turning the music that Vienna had chose down. He asked about their lives, trying to crack a joke to lighten the mood. Blake rolled her eyes, chewing on her bottom lip while she picked at her nail polish that was chipping... And bothering the crap out of her.
But she remained silent, even though she felt Levi's eyes on her for a second. She kept quiet and so did he. But, of course, Vienna broke the ice when nobody else would. She turned her head around to look at the four in the back, smiling brightly. She had to wonder if the girl was back on something, she seemed abnormally peppy...

Vienna Cheyenne Kennedy

Vienna had been the first to meet up with Avi because he picked her up the day before at the airport. She surprised him as she stepped off the runway with her shockingly bright hair.
Do you love it!?" He didn't seem to love it. But she was away in New York at freaking art school. What did he expect? She had to fit in... She was so boring.
Because the girl with two dead friends is totally boring. Right. And Avi didn't really need to know that she was indulging while away. Just a bit. Just for creative purposes. Mostly. Anyways, she was practically clean for the trip. Aside from the alcohol she planned on drinking. But right now it was just a little pot she snuck in the bathroom before rushing out the door with her boyfriend.
Avi tried to break the silence in the car now by asking about everyones lives, and trying and failing at cracking a joke.
Nobody would say anything, so Vienna turned around in her seat and smiled back at them. "Come on guys, what's going on? We haven't even really talked in over a year. It's time. I am not riding the entire way to the cabin in ******** silence."

User Image
Levi Cole Kent

Levi and DJ had bickered the entire way from the airport to their hotel for the next few weeks. Which was such a waste of money for this week... since they wouldn't even be there. But they needed a place to store all the stuff they brought because there wasn't going to be room for everyones stuff in the SUV and it was all dumb and unavoidable. Then they went to sleep without speaking, woke up acting like nothing happened, and went off to meet the group. It all felt so strange. Being back in Washington was weird enough, but seeing everyone, sitting in the quiet car with everyone felt suffocating. Somehow, he ended up with Blake in the back seat, and DJ hadn't said anything but looked at him strangely. He'd pass it off, saying he was saving her from sitting awkwardly with Harley back here. But in reality, he didn't feel like faking that they were okay just then but he supposed he'd have to at some point. He needed to breathe. And Blake was stone silent, which felt so weird too. She was never silent... So he spoke up finally after Vienna made her comment.
"Well, we sure as hell aren't gonna listen to your junkie pop music the whole way there. So, I'll start." He sighed, clicking his tongue. Guess his escape was going to cut short. "DJ and I are loving California but I miss the rain. Ya know, the ocean is like, right there... And its dry as ******** there right now. Totally a bummer. But I guess its nice having a nearby ocean I can actually swim in occasionally." He looked around, "Harley. How's whatever you ended up doing?" He needed someone else to take the limelight. He wasn't a very good liar.

Harley

User Image
Harley had been staring out the window since she got in the car. Absently...mostly. She wasn't taking in the scenery but she was thinking. About the girl right behind her. Her smell was the same. Though her vibe was dramatically different. It wasn't what Harley was used to. But she supposed after the big fight they had... Harley subconsciously sighed. She was unfocused until suddenly the party music was turned down so they could talk. Avi was over there wise cracking away like always. And Harley rolled her eyes at him like always.

Nobody chimed in right away so Vienna had to take control. Though more quiet and a lot more broken this group hadn't changed at all. Levi was the first to chin in. His voice was a little on edge. And Harley doubted he was telling the whole truth but she let it slide. Until he passed the buck to her. Biting her lip she shrugged. "Well I haven't quite picked my major yet. So nothing in that aspect. I made captain of the Gonzaga cheer squad. Which is almost unheard of. I'm pretty amazing. It helps that someone informed the coach that the former captain got pregnant." She smirked more to herself than anything. What about you DJ? What's the truth about what's been going on? Or are you gonna lie too?" She nudged the zoned out boy who just now tuned into the conversation.

User Image
DJ

DJ was grumpy to say the least. Since he pushed Levi to move out of state it has been nothing but arguments. About everything. And then pure denial. They don't acknowledge their problems. They yell, they fight, they scream and then...nothing. An eerie silence between them for a bit until they have something else to fight about. So yeah he didn't have the best attitude and he definitely didn't want to have to absorb all the hostile and awkward feelings from the rest of the group either. So he stared out the window.

That is until he heard his boyfriend speak. About how they were so happy. Things were perfect and he adored living in the sunny state. DJ rolled his eyes and grit his teeth. Such bullshit. All of California knew that Levi hated it there. Holding his tongue he listened as his boyfriend passed the awkward talk to Harley who was all to excited to share how she ruined some poor girl's life and took over her position. That was classic Harley right there. So was reading people. And boy did she read the group well. DJ could tell her talent from the moment they met. She could read even the slightest facial expression and know something that no one else picked up on. So he wasn't too surprised when she picked up on Levi's blatant bullshitting. But to remain supportive and loyal he just shrugged. "I can agree to what Levi said. I've started on my way to really diving into my law degree studies. I'm super excited. It's gonna take a few more years. But Cali is the best place to be. I'm really enjoying myself." By the look of Harley's pursed lips she didn't buy into it but DJ wasn't gonna make a big deal of it. "How bout you, Blakey-Pie?"

Blake had been listening in, silent and still in the back seat. She didn't want eye contact, she didn't even want to talk. But she couldn't help it when Harley started showing her a**. She was talking about ratting some girl out to claw her way to the top.
Blake couldn't help but laugh out loud, it was short and more of a snort but she made herself heard. Even on accident.
She muttered something under her breath and shook her head. Then DJ was talking, basically reiterating what Levi had said about their new lives in California, though neither of them seemed particularly happy. Unlike Harley, who was obviously over her and totally fine.
But of course, she couldn't duck the conversation forever, DJ pulled her right back in.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes at him calling her Blakey Pie. Gross.
"Oh," She sighed. "I'm good. I was loving Arizona, despite the fact that I totally miss rainy days like this. But I had to move back home last quarter because my gram had a stroke..." She paused for half a second, not letting anyone dwell on it. "She's doing so much better though, so I'll be back home in time to start my internship at the hospital. It's fun, but everyone in pre-med is just so competitive." She smirked as Vienna laughed, commenting back, "That sounds right up your alley." Well, she wasn't wrong. "Fair enough." She shrugged. "What about you two, Avi? How are you handling your crazy girlfriend being half way across the world in freaking New York? I mean she's gone one year and she comes back with rainbow hair." Her eyes caught Vee's before she turned back around in her seat, looking at Avi expectantly. Good, the heat was off her. Back to chewing on her lip and watching the s**t show in front of her.

Levi listened to Harley go on about how she was the captain because she ruined some girls life, stole her spot, and obviously was very proud. It almost made him sick. But what really turned his stomach was when she outright asked DJ if he was gonna lie about their happiness too. He stayed silent, though he was fuming. He clamped his fingers shut in his hand, his nails digging into his palm. Then DJ followed, keeping his cool, talking about how they loved California. Everything was perfectly fine. But it was clear Harley, at least, wasn't buying their facade. Levi sighed. All he wanted was someone he could spill to. Marshall being gone this last year was really getting to him, and had been since before they left California for this trip anyways. He missed his best friend. He needed someone to talk to. And his next go to would be Blake... But she seemed to have her own issues still. Which was clear when she spoke after DJ called her out.
God. This friend group had changed so much but some things never changed...

Avi

It seemed all his friends missed this bullshit drizzle but in Avi's life it had been at the very least once a week for two years and he's had to endure it alone. They all abandoned him after their friends died and Avi had to stare at the rain. And contemplate. So when Blake asked him how he had been he wanted to shout. He wanted to tell them all he didn't actually wanna do this trip with them because it wasn't the same. He still felt isolated and hurt but instead he gripped the wheel tighter and semi smiled. "The hair was a major surprise but I enjoyed it. It was...it's totally Vee." He chuckled. "I've been doing alright U Dub is killing me slowly and sucking away my soul but I haven't found anything I'm passionate about besides the amazing parties those nerd throw. They mix drinks that taste like juice. I'm proud of all my little nerdlings."He looked up a head and saw the turn off for the cabin. "Only about 15 more minutes guys. So Vee what have you been up to?" He asked just to keep the conversation alive as they neared the fun shack. The rain made the remote cabin drive feel creepier and there was a sense of imposing doom....at least that's what Avi felt.

Vienna watched as Avi gripped the wheel, his knuckles turning white through his darkened skin. She absently reached over, squeezed his knee, and then left her hand to rest on his thigh. She knew he hated it here, being stuck at home. But he hadn't gotten into NYU and she didn't want to beg him to follow her to New York without anything to do, like their gay friends did. Levi seemed miserable, out of sorts, and DJ was clearly lying just as much as Levi about being happy. She knew Levi would hate California, she tried to tell him that. But he was in love and DJ was his everything. Sometimes love wasn't enough.
Avi was going on about how U Dub was killing him, and the only thing he really liked was his nerdy parties. Which actually sounded a little crazy and fun. She'd hope to snag an invite, maybe then the tension would ease between them. Or maybe this weekend together would do it. She wanted her friends back, but part of her was already missing New York...
Her hand ended up back in her own lap whenever Avi asked what she'd been up to. They hadn't really talked the night before... They drove home in silence and as soon as they stepped into Avi's place they were ripping each others clothes off. It had been so long...
"Oh." She cleared her throat, played with the ends of her colorful hair, and sighed. "Ya know, lots of art classes. I took pottery last semester. It was a disaster. I think I'll stick to watercolors and charcoals. But photog was pretty cool too." Vienna looked back at their friends, smiling. "And New Yorkers sure do know how to party." She laughed, blurred memories flashed before her mind before landing on one she'd rather forget. She pushed the thoughts away and smiled as they grew nearer to the cabin.
Upon arriving, she felt her stomach drop stepping out of the SUV. Vienna looked up at the cabin and goosebumps covered her skin, she shivered.
"So, the boys can unload the luggage and we'll go get everything straightened up? Mr. Lancing said they obviously haven't been here since... It all happened. So it's probably musky. We'll open some windows, maybe get some dinner started? I'm starving." Vienna grabbed a few of the grocery bags her and Avi had brought along, they made a quick trip to Target to gather supplies and food for the week.
Blake offered to help the guys and Levi decided to help cook. Then Vienna went over to Avi and kissed his cheek, sort of awkwardly... and walked inside with Harley and Levi in tow.

Harley

User Image
Harley was excited to get away from the awkwardness of Blake. Her sad pity party was bringing down the vibe. Mostly she was peeved that Blake laughed at her. Following Vee in, Harley got this creepy vibe. In what little light filtered through the air was speckled with dust. It was musty and stifling. "I'll grab the windows and you grab the furniture covers? She asked Vee and then turned to Levi and gestured to the little liquor cabinet in the corner. "Can you check to see if the bar stash still has something in it?" After she was done directing she moved to the curtains. They looked to be sun lightened and heavy with dust. Slowly she moved them aside as to not disrupt the dirt. "It's super surreal to be back her...after you know...everything."

Avi

The cabin came into sight a little less than 15 minutes later just like Avi said it would. It was just as creepy looking as the feeling was driving up to it. When they got there Vee immediately delegated. It wasn't typically her, usually Harley would have said something first but either way he was glad to get into smaller groups. Maybe throwing them all together all at once wasn't the best idea. They hadn't left on the best of terms. Vee's awkward peck on the cheek proved that. Biting his lip he went to the back of the car and opened the trunk. "Alright who volunteers to carry Harley's three giant suitcases?" He asked. They were only gonna be here for a weekend. The girl did not need her entire wardrobe for the trip.

Blake felt terrible that Avi was miserable. Everyone had been shocked when Vienna said she was going away to New York, alone. Just as everyone was shocked that Levi was moving to ******** California. And she was moving to Arizona. And their friends were dead.
It was like everything she had been putting off the last year came washing over her as they pulled up to the cabin. They piled out of the car one after the other and she was careful to avoid Harley again. She was actually thankful when Vienna took charge, even though she didn't wanna get stuck with her and Harley so she offered to help bring the luggage and few groceries and such that Vienna didn't grab. "Good luck with those, I'm sure they're heavier than the pair of you combined." She snorted, gathering her own stuff and a few extra bags. "You know Harley." She shrugged, walking away and leaving the guys to the rest of the stuff. Blake slipped inside, picked a different room than last time, but was careful not to choose either room her friends had stayed in before... It felt like a bad omen.
This whole thing was a bad idea. She wished she'd stayed home with gram and ate cookies and played gin.
But instead, she sat in the cabin where her friends were murdered. And still nobody knew by who. They were actually really stupid to have come out here...
She shivered, then walked back downstairs and went out back to look out at the woods from the porch swing.

Vienna had grabbed the covers, releasing dust and causing her to sneeze about fifty times. "God." Why had she thought this was a good idea? In reality it was painful being in here. She was itching for something... a fix. Liquor. It was like Harley was reading her mind.
"Ah yes." She grinned, rushing back to the kitchen. "I've brought some party favors, just in case." She meant more than just alcohol, but the other thing she had tucked away were for herself. Vee started to unload the bags of liquor, then Levi joined her and she watched as Blake snuck by, clearly avoiding Harley. Vienna sighed heavily, and after putting away the cold groceries, her and Levi started to pour everyone a drink.
"Everyone needs a drink. Go collect the girl avoiding you, Har. Kiss and make up or something because I am so not dealing with your lesbian drama all ******** week." She raised a shot glass of the old whiskey to Levi, who downed it just as fast as she had.
Let the party begin.

Levi had stayed silent while everyone carried on. He wasn't even listening anymore, until they pulled up over the hill that revealed the cabin. The next few minutes were a complete blur as images from that night and the next day rushed through his mind. Tears pricked his eyes, but he wiped them away and followed Blake out of the car. Levi quickly chimed in after Vienna, "I'll help cook, since you're both just terrible cooks. I don't think microwave dinners will do the trick." He skipped on the kiss to his boyfriend, saving everyone the awkward display. Instead, he carried a few groceries in and then took direction from Harley once they were all inside. He rummaged through the liquor cabinet, finding a half empty bottle of whiskey and full bottle of some cheap vodka.
"We weren't all twenty one at the time, it's mostly s**t." He grunted, stepping back with the bottles in his hand. He joined Vienna at the island in the kitchen.

Blake heard everyone chatting about shots and partying and she slyly snuck upstairs and back into her room. She hoped to avoid that for now, needing time to be alone. Everything felt so real now, it was all coming back and settling in. She didn't want to think about it. But she couldn't stop thinking about it. Her mind was whirling. She didn't even shut the door all the way as she fell into the bare bed with nothing but her pink covered pillow on it. Her chest was heaving, tears pricked her eyes. And then she heard a familiar voice and the sound of the door creaking open the rest of the way. Harley didn't waste anytime pleading her case. Blake took a deep breath and turned to face her, cheeks reddened. She bit her bottom lip, looking up at the girl who had ripped her heart out and then let her leave without even really fighting for her... Everything was a lie.
But she was right. It was time to fake it. Put on the act and get through this. There was no way out now, after all.
"Sure." Blake stood up, tucked her long hair behind her ear, and pushed passed Harley to go downstairs. She was stopped by Levi, who looked like he was trying to escape.
Oh no. If she was doing this, he was too.
"Heard we were doing shots, you aren't leaving me alone in here, are you?" He sighed and promised he'd stay, said she kept him sane. She smiled her first real smile of the day and let him lead her to the group. They all grabbed drinks, raised them, and then the darkness took over. She could hear Vienna screaming beside her, Levi's grip tightened on her and kept her silent. She was stunned, gripping her glass tightly in her hand.

Vienna was standing beside Levi at the island still, watching him as he guzzled cheap whiskey. Her mind was reeling. They weren't happy. The picture perfect gay couple ran off to New York and they fell apart.
Her eyes locked on Avi's smiling face as DJ took the jack from him. Her heart sank into her stomach. And what about her own relationship? It felt just as wrong, all twisted and messed up.
She loved Avi. She always would. But she felt different now, everything felt different now.
A chill washed over her as she looked around the cabin, Levi was walking away and meeting the girls at the stairs. Then they were coming back, everyone was grabbing shots of this and that, and then everything went black. Vee screamed first, and loudest she was sure, she reached out as her shot glass fell from her hand and crashed on the floor, her other hand grabbed the nearest hand to hers.

Levi watched as DJ finally walked into the main room, cracking a joke about Harley packing for herself. Well, she was a primadonna. It was too be expected. He approached Avi, taking the Jack from him and drinking, smiling all the while. He gripped the counter top with one hand as he took a swig of cheap whiskey, gagging at the taste and earning a look from Vienna, who had also been staring at Avi and DJ. He sighed, rolling his eyes and shrugging. He didn't much care at this point how they looked. They were gonna be stuck here all week together, time for s**t to unravel.
He took another long drink of whiskey before grabbing the bottle and brushing passed his boyfriend to get to the stairs just as Harley and Blake were coming downstairs. Great. That meant he had to stick around for shots... All he wanted to do was curl up and drink the entire bottle and sleep. This place it felt... suffocating. That night didn't seem so long ago, and his reality wasn't anymore stable back home. In fact, just the opposite. It was volatile.
"Heard we were doing shots, you aren't leaving me alone in here, are you?" His eyes met Blake's before he sighed. "Of course not. Someone's gotta keep me sane." He hooked his arm through the blondes, leading her back to the kitchen to grab shots. This time he choose something a little less cheap, they raised their glasses, and the lights shut out throughout the entire cabin.

The lights shut out across the cabin and there were a few screams that cut through the air. After a moment of silence a distorted voice came from somewhere but echoed through the house. "Welcome back friends. It's been a long time. And I've been waiting. Are we ready for a repeat of two years ago? Maybe have some fun in the process. You've got an hour to get prepared. I'll see you soon. " A dark chuckle and then silence.

It was t long after everyone had converged in the living room that the house went to hell for a brief period. The lights shut off and a creepy voice called them friends. The whole time the voice was talking Avi tuned him out. Instead he walked along the walls and searched for the breaker box. The voice faded and Avi hit the lights. "Alright whoever thought that was funny. That's way too soon and way insensitive." He shouted. But somewhere he knew it wasn't a prank. It was too soon to decide 100%.

Harley

User Image
It was surprising and disheartening at how easy it was to get Blake to put everything aside. Harley was looking for more of a fight but she'd take what she can get for now. She followed the blonde down the stairs and they went their separate ways again. As soon as everyone was in the same room crazy s**t started happening and a voice came from somewhere. Harley screamed and stood as still as a deer in headlights. Her eyes flitted around the pitch black room. With a laugh the voice quit and the lights snapped back on. Next thing she knew Avi was staring right at her claiming whoever did this wasn't cool. She rolled her eyes. "What are you looking at me for?!" She shouted and just earned an exaggerated shrug. "Well it wasn't mean and what do we have to prepare for?"

DJ

DJ was shocked and his heart sunk but he kept quiet. Trying to hear where the sound was coming from. It sounded close but seemed to echo. Like it was surrounded by metal. He stayed calm while the breathing of other increased then tension in the air got thick. When everything went quiet and everyone could see again DJ breathed a sigh of relief and his eyes automatically went to see if Levi was okay. Trying to make eye contact. But he was interrupted by Harley and Avi fighting. "Maybe, guys, we should think about trying to find the source and figuring s**t out before breaking down. Is everyone okay?"

Blake stayed silent as the lights flicked back on after the voice cut out.
What. The. ******** looked around at everyones face, every single person was accounted for. So, a recording? Avi was accusing someone, saying it wasn't a cool prank. But Blake wasn't sure who of them would be that sick and twisted. She was shaking, but didn't realize it until her eyes met Vienna's. She instantly butted in, stopping everyone after DJ tried to talk some sense into the two that were fighting. Blake started to clean up the broken glass from the floor, only cutting herself a little bit. But she was numb right now, she didn't feel it. She didn't notice until it was pointed out that she was dripping blood on the island...
Blake went to the sink to wash her bleeding finger while she snapped. "Prepare? Vee you can't be real. We are ******** leaving. Right, guys?" She looked around at everyones blank expression. "Right...I mean our friends died here. It was stupid to come! SO stupid!" She was yelling, shaking, and her cheeks were flushed red.

Vienna stopped screaming when the voice echoed throughout the house. She squeezed and then the lights came back on. Nobody was holding her hand.
That was odd... She could have sworn...
Then Avi broke her thoughts with an accusatory tone, saying it wasn't a funny prank. A prank? Her heart was pounding, her eyes caught Blake's and she snapped into herself as she watched the girl start to fall apart. It was so unlike her...
"DJ is right, oh my god. Shut the ******** up." She was shaking her head, walking over to stand in front of Avi. "Apparently we need to get prepared for something, so we need to figure out what the ******** that means."

As soon as the lights came back on his eyes connected with DJ's. Thankfully they both seemed okay. Shaken, but okay. He was thankful to find him looking for him, for some reason it gave him hope. But everything fell apart fast. People were yelling, screaming, and everyone was clearly freaking out. He sighed, took a deep breath and waved his hands in the air. He rushed to grab Blake, pinning her arms at her side he held her close. "Shhh. It's okay." She calmed slowly and he looked up. "Well, she's not wrong. We can't ******** actually be thinking we are gonna stick around?"
