She walked toward a suspiciously empty space but decided that she might be better off staying away from the area. Something about it felt...off...and she really couldn't risk it. Or at least she didn't want to. Good thing she'd changed direction, too, as she heard a loud whinny coming from that general direction. Considering there was nothing there, she likely succeeded in avoiding that thing.
She exhaled sharply and let relief briefly wash over her as she continued walking.

Not too far off she saw one of the stronger undying in the area, and she changed directions. She wasn't too interested in getting into a big fight if she could help it...

Mel stopped and took a break in a clearing, the anxiety of just running into something already plenty exhausting. How much further she could go before she had to head back to base, she wasn't sure. She did at least have her shotgun, though, so that was good.

Upon rounding a corner she heard a tell tale whinny but saw nothing, so she backtracked and tried to take another path.

She walked on and heard nothing more, which was a bit of a relief. The thing rammed her pretty good last time, and she was down for a while after that. If possible she didn't want to have to deal with that again.

It wasn't long before she heard that same whinny again, and again when she saw nothing she tried to walk--fast--in the opposite direction.

Everything was quiet again as she walked, but there was no way of knowing how long that would even last. She picked up her pace and started walking back toward where that tower thing was. People were there, and there seemed less of a chance she'd run into something dreadful near there.
