Lissa had carved a safe haven for herself in the craft store, but it was a cold, lonely haven, without whatever warmth she might have earned from socializing with her rag-tag band of survivors. She wasn't going to search for anyone in particular--that would be needy--but she would spend most of her time in the arcade, out in the open where she could be easily reached by the flocks of people that obviously needed her love and attention. They'd be here any minute now.
Yep. Totally.
In the meanwhile, she made faces while she posed with one of the guns from Undying House, holding up her hand like she might have been taking a selfie. A girl could dream, right? Idly, she reached into one of her sweater pockets for a token and inserted it into the machine, smirking at the groans as the game began to fire up. After seeing the real thing, these zombies seemed cheesy in comparison.
But fake as they were, the little pixellated jerks were hard to hit, and after a few screens Lissa found herself cursing under her breath, trying to get just one headshot...

G-Man was really just looking for something to do that could help him unwind, and playing a shooting game in the arcade seemed like just the ticket. The stress of their situation was building up and building up inside of him, his life turned upside down, his world a shambles (and filled with shamblers), and there was no end in sight, though depending on what type of end there was in store for them all, that might have actually been a good thing.
He wasn't expecting the arcade to be empty, as it seemed to be a pretty popular hang out among the survivor faction known as the mall rats, but he was never sure just who he would run into when he entered that forever lit up room video of game madness. At first glance, however, it didn't appear that the space was being occupied. It wasn't until he wandered further inside and towards the game of interest that he spotted Lissa, and upon seeing her, his face split into a wide grin.
"Hey, Lizzle my bizzle!" He greeted her, while sauntering up to the game she was playing and grabbing for the player 2 gun while sliding in a token. "What's shakin, swagalicious?"
He took aim and fired at the screen so that he could join her game, doing so without bothering to ask if she wanted any company. Of course she wanted company! He was the best company she could ever hope for!
And then, just to show off how very awesome and full of swag he was himself, he immediately picked off three zombies, making the game look easy peasy hot booty squeezy.

Lissa couldn't hide the little way her shoulders jumped at the sound of an outside voice piercing her in-game perceptions, and her head jerked away from the screen as her hand went to the pocket where she kept her knife. But she saw the shutter shades and knew everything was just fine, the tension melting away from her posture as she put on her trademark smirk.
"It's the G-Squaaaaaaad," Lissa blared, ignoring the screen for a few precious moments while zombies scratched away at her health. "Oh, you know, the usual, just failing virtually where I excel in real life," she added nonchalantly, clicking her fake gun in the air a few times. Just as G-Man got his side of the screen up and running, hers went black, and she bit back a curse as she fumbled for another few coins to feed the machine.
"But no worries, I got this s**t on lockdown," she shrugged, firing into the poorly-rendered nightmare house. But each target seemed to dodge at the last second, and Lissa finally let out an agitated groan. "How the fu--dammit, this side's broken or something. This is bullshit."

"Awwwww yeeeeeaaaaaaaa! Holllllahhhhhh!" He held his arms out, face tilting back as if he were some kind of rock star basking in the applause and cheers of his adoring fans. Laughing, he swung his arms back down, and continued to grin, feeling, as usual, a genuine sense of happiness when he was with Lissa, mostly because she didn't seem to judge him for how he acted. She just got him. Totes.
"Aw, for real? Dayum!" He glanced at her screen to see that it was indeed true. His gurl was failin where she needed to be successorizin.
"Ha! I'm sure ya do. I'm sure ya surely do." He used his gun to tip her a salute, when he really should have been paying more attention to his side of the game himself, as several zombies had cropped up in all of their pixelated horror glory.
"Ah, whoops...." He had turned back to the game, and had fired off a few wild shots in his hurry to actually hit something, his brow furrowing in a very short lived frown.
Short lived because he glanced to his side, and said. "I meeaaaaan, AH WHOOP, THERE IT IIIS~"
Because he totally hit those zombies, okay. There was absolutely no reason for her to believe he hadn't.

Lissa laughed, a deep, throaty laugh that crinkled her nose and made her snort, a laugh that for once didn't sound quite so utterly rehearsed. Where she normally draped herself over whatever convenient wall or furniture could be rested upon, she actually stood up straight, shoulders squared and posture proud as she haphazardly fired off fake bullets into the fake firefight. But increasingly, she was focused less on the game and more at glancing at her co-player, calculations running through her head.
No, Lissa, you know better.
For a moment, she winced, and then she brought her gaze back to the game, firing a number of shots in quick succession. Of course it would take the last boss for her to get her head in the game. At the end, her score blinked brightly, dripping with pixellated blood as the shrieks of the damned let out a wail.
"Looks like you got it, bro," she shrugged, holstering her weapon. She made it a point not to look at his eyes.

Lissa's laugh somehow managed to make G-Man's face flush pink, a warmth blossoming in his chest that he was quick to tamp down as he ducked his head and let out a light chuckle himself, trying to keep his gaze on the game since the previous distraction had cost him quite a lot on his health bar.
But for some reason, he just couldn't quite seem to get back on his game after that, whether because his concentration was shot or his previous killing streak had been nothing more than a fluke. Every shot he fired was a glaring miss, and eventually, his health depleted completely, his game ending just as Lissa got to the final boss.
"Ahhhhh shiznit." He let out a dramatic sigh, and then finally glanced her way to watch her shoot at the screen.
"Aw yea, gurl, you got the moves~" He let out another short laugh, and, replacing his gun in it's plastic game holster, reached up to rub at the back of his head, which was still just a bit bruised and sore from his previous concussion.
When she finished her game, however, it seemed like something was just off. He wasn't really sure what was off, but it was something.
Instead of dwelling on it too much, however, he smiled. "Hey sharp shooter, how bout a drink on me?"
It was funny because the drinks were free...if there were even any left.
