A location on the edge of Mapplewood that was cleared out just so trainers and their pokemon could battle with one another without battling in the middle of the city

xxxKira entered the field, looking around to see how many people she could count. It didn't seem like to many. Thankfully. She didn't need a huge audience. Especially with her pokemon at their level. She needed to be careful that she didn't get anyone else caught up in it. She didn't want anyone possibly getting hurt if any attacks went astray. She turned around as she took her position, crossing her arms as she waited for him to get there. She reached down and started to run her fingers over her Pokeballs, wondering how this was going to go. Her reputation as the strongest Elite was on the line here. She had to be careful to not lose this fight. Reaching up to the sky, she stretched out her arms and got loose as she got ready. "Alright. We ready to do this thing?" Kira asked as she got ready for the challenge. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, but she hoped that she could do this. "Kia. Hold Skittle for me please. I don't want her jumping in." She said as she fixed her hair so that it was up and out of her way as she got ready for battle.

Kia walked over to the side of the battle field. "i'll ref the battle." Kia said as pulled out a pokeball and tossed it up away from the field. "Chimchar come on out." Kia as a red beam appeared from the pokeball and a chimp like creature appeared. "Alright Chimchar Cherubi Skitty stand back and watch closely, never know you might learn something useful from watching this battle." Kia said as she watched the three little pokemon moved back away from the field to watch. "Don't worry i did this a lot in sakura village so i know what i'm doing." Kia said with a goofy smile and a thumbs up as she tried insuring the two of them.

☯ Kōketsu followed behind Kira and Kia as they made their way to the battlefield. Nice scenery at that. Walking over to his spot and cracked his neck a bit. How would you like this battle Kira? I don't think you wanna bring out your full team do you? Kōketsu asked as he reached for his first pokémon that he held onto. To be honest, the limit didn't matter to him whatsoever, he just wanted to test his skills. ☯

xxxKira watched them both enter as Kia offered to Ref. She smiled and nodded her head to Kia. She was sure that she had had plenty of practice if her grandparents still battled with the pokemon they bred to make sure they weren't going to get scared their first battle. She listened to his question and thought about it. She didn't want to show all of her pokemon, because that would just suck if any trainers who wanted to challenge her were watching. The would have an advantage on her because she wouldn't know their pokemon. She made a small hm sound before raising 3 fingers. "Does a 3 versus 3 work with you? You are right. I don't want my whole team shown, and 3 is a fair enough number to be able to judge the strength of your pokemon." Kira asked him as she got in her head which 3 she would use. Since he was a poison user, she was probably going to want to have the heal and status effect removers ready. She needed to be careful how she approached this battle. She couldn't take him lightly. She sighed a little as she rubbed the back of her head. She was going to have to think hard on this one. "Ready when you are." She said as she reached back and pulled off the first pokeball, holding it in her hand as she readied it, ready to call out her Pokemon whenever Kia said start.

☯ Kōketsu nodded to the 3v3 battle she suggested. 3 pokémon is fine with me. Kōketsu lifted his pokéball as he already decided his 3. He grew a devilish grin. Let's go! He threw his pokemon into the air as his first pokémon appeared to be Drapion. Time to see just how powerful the member of the Eltie Four really is. His voice became a bit deeper and more vicious. The tone of the "Apex Predator." It's time for this battle to begin. ☯
Kia looked at both players comferming that they were ready. "alright the battle between the challenger Koketsu and the challenged Kira with now...." Kia said pausing as she raised both of her hands. "BEGIN!!!!! Kia shouted as she dropped both hands signalling them to begin.
After the battle
Kia raised her right hand and looked at Kira. "The winner, Kira." Kia said un-judgmentally as she looked over at Koketsu. "Better luck next time Koketsu.." Kia said trying to sound indifferent as Skitty ran over to Kira.

xxxKira sighed a little as she looked down at the pokeballs in her hands. Her pokemon were getting a little rusty. He had managed to faint Dia, and Dina was poisoned. She rummaged in her bag and pulled out one revive, one full heal and one PSN Cure Berry. Calling the pokemon back out, she give Dina the cure berry and the full heal while using the revive on Dia. They both looked at her and she smiled, rubbing both of their heads. "Good job you two. Thank you for your hard work today. Now go take a well deserved nap." Kira said as she put them back in their pokeballs and putting them back in their spots as she bent down and scooped up Skittle, rubbing her head with a small laugh. She looked over at Kōketsu and smiled. He had done a really good job. It was slightly tougher then she had expected. But, for an eigth gym leader, she was impressed. She knew with him in the ranks, any challenger that made it their way was going to be worth their salt. She walked over and extended out her hand to him. "Good job. I know that as long as you are one of the gym leaders, anyone who makes it to us is going to be really worthy of fighting us. I'm glad I got the chance to do this. It was a good chance for me to see where I still needed to improve." She said as she petted Skittle and rubbed her cheek against the top of her head. She loved her little Skitty that her grandparents had got her. She was so appreciative of the gift. She was sure it took a while for her grandparents to get this Shiny Skitty. So she was glad that she had her. She wasn't sure what she would do if something happened to her. She walked over to Kia with a smile, looking down at Chimchar and petting his head. She absolutely loved the pokemon her cousin had picked as her starters. They were so cute. Fitting for her cousin. She stood back up, waiting to see what happened next.

☯ Such a solid battle it was. The Poison Gym Leader vs Dragon Master of the Elite Four. Though the battle wasn't as close as Kōketsu had wanted but it was close enough to give Kira a run for her money. Managing to faint one of her dragons and even poison her other pokémon. Utilizing his skill of using special tactics to strike when most vulnerable managed to take down a powerful Dragonite. All his Pokémon fainted but he wasn't mad at all. In actuality, Kōketsu was surely excited for today's battle. It really showed all he needed to know about the might of Kira as a Trainer. He pulled out from his bag 3 Max Revives as he gave them to his pokémon to be fully healed up. You three did a wonderful job. I'm very proud of you. Get yourself a good rest. His voice, back to his normal tone. He stood up and extended his hand to Kira, joining her hand and gave a slight bow. Thank you very much Kira. I'll make sure any challenger will be ready to see you all. That was a great battle. I fully understand as to why they ranked you the 4th. You're very strong. He crossed his arms as he watched Kira pet her Skitty. Now that he got what he wanted, he began to think of what he was going to do next. Travel around Pluto some more probably. ☯
Kia walked over to Chimchar and Cherubiand picked up Cherubi. "I hope your both learned something from watchingthat battle.. i know i did." Kia asked Chimchar and Cherubi as she remembered each move that was made. "Chim Chimchar! Cherubi!" they replied as Chimchar climbed up Kia's arm and hung onto her back. "well i'm glade the first battle in the pluto region was between you two it was very fun to watch and very informative." Kia said as she walked up to Kira and Koketsu as she carried her pokemon. "why do we all go grab something to eat before we go our seprate ways?" Kia suggested to the two of them as she petted Chimchar's head.

xxxKira smiled as he took care of his pokemon. She nodded her head a little to him as he took her hand with a small bow. She listened to what he said and smiled. She rubbed the back of her head as she gave a small nervous laugh, waving her hand in a dismissive motion. "Oh please. I've still got a ways to go. If I was that good, then you wouldn't have fainted Dia, or poisoned Dina. But, that's why only the best of the best get past me and are able to call themselves a champion. I'm glad that I can count on knowing the trainers are ready." Kira said as her attention shifted to her cousin as she spoke up. She thought about it and nodded her head, trying to think of the best place to go to grab a bite to eat. There were several good places in Maplewood, but she wasn't sure which one would be the best. She grinned as she rubbed the top of Kia's head. "Hope you were paying close attention Kia. Even if you are family, I still won't hold back when it's time for us to battle. But yes. You should join us for some lunch. We could use the company. After all, after a good battle it's best to enjoy a nice meal together." She said with a small smile as she looked at him. She was only super serious when it came to battling, otherwise she enjoyed being a nice and friendly girl who wanted nothing more then to be friends with everyone. She just hoped she could continue to enjoy her time with her cousin. She didn't want anything bad to happen to her. If things started to seem like they were going to take a turn for the worse, she was just going to have to convince Kia to go back to their grandparents to help them out, where she would be much safer. It was uncommon for any serious trouble to start up, but she knew it was always a possibility. Peace didn't last forever, and she could only hope she was strong enough to be able to help fight off the danger when it started it's strike.

☯ Kōketsu turned to return his pokémon into their respected Pokéballs and placed them back on their holsters. He overheard the two family members conversing with one another about heading out to have a meal. It does sound like a good idea to have a good snack after a good battle. Honestly, the male really had nothing to do at the moment whatsoever. There was nobody who needed to face him in the gym, no Leader's meeting to attend, no designated area to be at so, why not? Well my schedule is open today so grabbing a bite to eat sounds quite exciting. ☯
Kia smiled as she listened to the two talk and heard that they would like lunch. "cool, there's this dinner here that i really wanted to try while i was here." Kia said as she started heading back towards the city. "and yeah i was Kira, but i just need to practice watching only does so much hehehe." Kia said as she looked over her shoulder at the two with a kind smile.

xxxKira nodded her head as he said that he would join them. Good. Maybe she could get to know him a bit better then. She wondered what he had planned to do after challenging her. She mentally shrugged as she returned her attention to Kia as she said she had paid attention, but she would need to practice as watching only did so much. She nodded her head to that statement with a smile. "Good. I totally agree with that statement. Practice makes perfect. That's how I worked my way to the top." Kira said as she listened to her cousin say that she had been wanting to go to a place to eat while she was here. Kira nodded her head and went to her cousins side, hanging back just enough that she could lead. "Well then lead the way Kia. We'll follow behind you." She said with a grin as she looked back at Koketsu with a small smile. She was glad that he had decided to tag along. It was always nice to have new faces around. That was one reason she enjoyed walking around the region when she didn't have to fight any trainers. It gave her the chance to be around new people she hadn't met before. She didn't get bored this way.

Makiro had made his way towards the battle field to meet anyone who might be up for a challenge he was not expecting for one of the elite four members or a gym leader from another region to be here he was expecting to see some trainers from the other region, to be quite precise he liked to be formal except his odd habit of chewing gum, The read haired male shifted his hazel eyes to the onlookers he pulled off a glove with his teeth and put them in his pockets, every time he wore a jacket and scarf. even if it was warm out he started out at the blue sky his lips pursed and it formed a small smile on his thin lips. In his jacked he pulled out a package of gum, it had the label of bubble berry - fruit explosion with a a very colourful package. He put the gum in his mouth chewing it not to long after he blew a large blue bubble from it it popped and he chewed the gum once more. Was this really why he came to be antisocial like he always was. He then finally noticed there was another trainer a new challenger it seemed. He adjusted the headphones on his shoulder and took them off putting them in a case, his brown eyes shifted towards the people as he walked towards them. "Hello" he said in his casual tone his face fully visible now his pale skin and his crimson red hair reflected of the sunlight making it look like his head was on fire.
