Why was this her only option? She didn't want to go through this door. She didn't want to do this. Why her?
Why here? Why was this happening at all?
She didn't want to open the door, but it was the only way out. So finally she pressed forward.
She was home. It was quiet. Her mother's hums form the kitchen drew her and she walked in, holding a stuffed bunny to her chest. It's ears flopped over as she drifted closer. "Mom? What are you making?"
"I'm baking a pie dear. Did you get your homework done?"
"Mmhumm." she nodded and sat at the table waiting.
"It won't be done for a while sweetie. We have to let it cool."
---
She played in the park with her dog, caught in the motion pick up ball throw ball wait, and praise her puppy. Killer her dad had named it. She thought of her as more of a Rose though.
When she returned, she rubbed her head. "What a good dog you are. Yes." she smiled and threw the ball again and again and again.
---
She wasn't herself anymore. she was everything, everyone. on one hand it felt nice to not be alone, on the other... it was wrong. She felt incomplete... worst she hadn't asked for this.
It wanted to infect more and more and more.
But it wasn't right.
Had she been asked maybe that would have been different but she hadn't she had no idea as to what was happening.
It wanted more and more.
Would it never end?
She pulled away somehow. She was herself. No she was vines nothing but vines. She curled into a ball, a mass and then shaped into a somewhat human something. Was this her? Was this what she was? If she could cry she would. She did not want this. She wanted to go back.
But how?
Finally she started to search. she stumbled around trying to figure out how to control hundreds of vines. It did not make any sense to her.
Finally she found something, her body? no, a girl like her but different. Taller, bigger. With horns. She was beautiful.... she remembered now, her rescuer.
She had tried to help... even if she was scary. Though she seemed less scary now, less a shadow. and now she was trapped here. No she did not want that. She commanded the vines to release her. the ones near moved at her will. And then she picked the girl up, taking her out.
When she got out she spotted something. Other people... creepy and scary. they came, and took the beautiful girl away. Like her university was. She wondered where the other was.
Just now she realized how lucky she was to have found the university, to have people around her. They couldn't stop all the bad things but they could at least do them together.
Maybe they could find a way out together.
