(Set before Terrin joined the herd) Terrin had been traveling hard. If anyone had seen him, they might have thought he was running from something, and on that particular day they wouldn't have been wrong. A storm had blown up right on his tailfeathers and he'd struggled to stay ahead of it, helped somewhat by the wind it had blown before it, but that wind also proved hazardous and he was forced down before he crashed. He'd spent a miserable and wet night in a forest, but the day had dawned clear and he'd uncurled himself to find a sunnier spot. A clearing would do nicely and so he stood in it where the sunlight slanted in as the sun rose. His head was down as he dozed, unable to fully sleep in this strange area, wings half mantled to help the feathers dry so he would be able to fly and find a safer roost to rest after his uncomfortable night.

Killasia hummed to herself as she slowly trotted along the weathered path. She had broken away from the main group of traders as they rested, set on restocking some of her herb supplies. She could feel the wind blow against the tree's and the grass, and after the weather the past few days it was a nice, but slightly damp, morning to enjoy. She eyed the tree's in the clearing, wondering just what sort of goodies could be lying at the edge of the nearby forest. Taking a peek wouldn't hurt, as long as she didn't wander too far in. Wiggling her feathers, she pushed through the clearing, eyes scouring the area for anything out of the ordinary. She was close enough to her sisters to call for help if needed... maybe. She wasn't entirely sure at this point. Still, she had to make sure she stayed out of trouble, and close enough to the road to find her way back before the others woke up. They were so far from home at this point, and quite frankly everything was still strange and new to her... Finding a few mushrooms, she slowly picked a few specific ones up, not even noticing the male asleep in the grass beside her. She took a step closer to the shrooms, managing to step on something rather ... lumpy. "I.. what..?" She took a step back, slightly horrified realizing just what had happened. She stepped on someone. That can't be the best way to greet anyone, and surely he would not be happy about such treatment.

Terrin didn't realize he'd ended up lying down until someone stepped on his wing, fortunately on the thickest part of it so it didn't break, but it certainly did startle him awake and he might have sworn for his stupidity as he brought his head up, beak opening in threat against what he assumed was a predator until he realized he was looking up at a mare instead. His beak clacked shut and he blinked stupidly at her before he slowly moved to get to his feet, tucking his still damp wings tight to his sides. "Uh....hi." He offered dumbly, still blinking like a newborn colt trying to focus his eyes for the first time. "Didn't mean to be in your way." He was more tired than he'd thought he was. Maybe he was hallucinating and he ended up focusing on her horn, going kind of crosseyed in doing so.

She was still panicking, a complete opposite aura from what this stallion seemed to be putting off. He seemed so calm, likely because he was half asleep mind you, while all she could do was pace forwards and backwards. At least it seemed she hadn't hurt the poor fellow. Though if she had, perhaps there was something she could do to help? She frowned, realizing her materials were mostly back with the rest of the herd. This was an exploration mission for new materials... she needed room to store them, and had a separate pack with her. She stopped pacing just long enough to realize she could smell damp feathers. Was this male out in the rain? She frowned. "Hi.. hi! I didn't reallymeantosteponyou...." She lowered her head in apology. "I.. I was just trying to find some supplies for my herd.. I'm really, really sorry. You weren't in my way, promise! I just get so lost in what I'm doing I don't really notice anything around me ..."

"Hey, it's okay. I'm okay." He laughed a bit, deciding one of them had to stop being flustered and shook his wings out. Yeah okay, so maybe she wasn't a hallucination at least, but wow she had a pretty horn. "You're looking for supplies?" He continued. "Well maybe I can help." He shook his wings again and turned his head to look at them ruefully. "I don't think I'm going to be flying anywhere for a while. I'm still pretty damp from that storm last night." Looking back at her, he smiled. "Besides, always happy to be of help!" Was she a Kalona? Her wings made him think so, but the rest of her made him wonder. He quickly dismissed it as unimportant. She was nice, so it didn't matter what her heritage was.

She tried to calm down, she really did, but she felt herself continue to pace slightly, still not sure. He said he was fine. He didn't seem like a threat. But for some reason she still worried. She took a deep breath, stopping herself from running a trench in the ground with her pacing movements. She could be calm, yes. She might not have any herbs to help with calming at the moment, but darnit she was going to be calm. "Well.. if you are.. sure you're ok ..." She smiled back at him, hearing his laughter. For some reason it was a welcoming sound to her. "Oh! Yes! Supplies!" She realized she had yet to find any, and it likely would not be much longer before the rest of the herd woke up to find breakfast. "I, I, I need to get some supplies to the rest of my family, so we have what we need on the road ... " She frowned, eyeing him again. "You travel too? Or do you live out.. here by yourself?" Ebonrune Sorry this took so long, and is short. ;; ilu

She was definitely the antsy sort, though he found her energy oddly cute. He kept that opinion to himself however and just watched her as she paced before she finally stopped herself and spoke. "Well then, if it's supplies you need, then it's supplies we shall find!" He decided. "I travel." He added. "See new sights, meet new people. Experience new things. I love it. So! What is it you need? Let's find it and get you on your way." He perked. "Or hey, you said you're 'on the road'? So you're traveling too? Where are you going off to? Maybe I could carry on with you all for a bit? Safety in numbers and all of that." He was almost definitely getting ahead of himself when they didn't even know each others names. Oh, but he could fix that easily enough. "I'm Terrin, by the way." Gracie Loff Nooo. Not short. Good length!

"You.. you can get supplies?" She finally calmed down, now interested in the males words. "And travel?" She paused for a short moment, stopping to carefully consider things. "I.. I mean.. we.. travel." She paused again, before continuing on. "My sisters and I travel. We've come a long, long way.. to bring our wares to these new lands." She looked at the ground, thinking she sounded quite silly, but it was true. Her and her sisters were far, far from home.. and she admitted the thought of help didn't sound like such a bad thing. "Terrin? It's.. nice to meet you." She bowed her head, finally noticing the ruts in the dirt from her pacing. "I'm Killasisa. You can call me Killa, is you wish. I know it's a mouthful. I can't say I'm looking for one particular thing, but more of anything that could help me and my sisters. I'm an herbalist you.. see. I'm looking for things to help along the way."

"Well, help you find supplies anyway." Terrin clarified. He shook out his wings again and stretched, fanning them out to help them dry. He tilted his head then at what Killa was saying and smiled. "Killasisa! That's a pretty interesting name! Pleasure to meet you." He tilted his head the other way. "Herbalist? Well, I have some herbs here. At least I think that's what they are." He lowered his head to tap the satchel around his neck, then lowered his head and shrugged to slip it off, catching it in his beak to hold carefully by the strap and used a foreclaw to carefully open it and flip the flap back. "Here you go, take a look and see if there's anything you can use."
