Sitting still for too long makes him antsy, hence whey he dislikes most lessons that focus heavily on lectures and enjoys the more hands-on classes. Sometimes, this hyperactivity can get him into trouble, such as when he fails to settle down and behave.
LOYAL xxx»» Growing up with two brothers who were his best friends and being mostly raised by nannies who generally disliked them, Dori developed a strong loyal streak. It has since expanded to include his friends. He would do anything within his power to help them if they were in need. He can't stand feeling powerless when there's nothing he can do to help.
DRAMATIC xxx»» Coupled with his hyperactivity is a tendency to exaggerate. He enjoys embellishing stories and making things out to be bigger than they are. He also tends to over-react to situations, and overthink them as a result. By the time an event actually comes to pass, he's often already imagined dozens of different ways it could go, most of them quite over-the-top and unlikely.
SCATTERBRAINED xxx»» Dori has trouble focusing; he tends to be easily distracted and to flit from one thing to another. Oftentimes, he finds himself scratching his head and wondering how he ended up in his dorm room reading a comic when the last he remembers, he was working on homework. It's incredibly easy to distract his attention away from what he's focusing on, unless it's incredibly important to him, in which case nothing will pull him away.
DETERMINED xxx»» He rarely gives up on anything, and never on anything important to him. While he does tend to be easily distracted and have trouble with his attention span, if something really, truly matters to him, it's impossible to get him away from it or to change his mind about it. In general, a lack of skill in something indicates ta he doesn't care overmuch for it. If he does care, he will do whatever it takes to master a skill or to accumulate knowledge.
KIND xxx»» Dori has a big heart; he tries his best to always be good to the people around him. He dislikes insults in general and has little patience for people who are mean for no apparent reason. He believes that there are enough awful things in the world without people going out of their way to be awful to one another. However, rather than respond to negativity with more negativity, he prefers to follow the 'kill them with kindness' approach.

CHILDHOOD xxx»» Dorian's childhood was eventful, to say the least. He was the youngest born of a set of triplets, and a pretty big surprise for his parents, who were only expecting twins. It was only the first in a series of oddities that plagued the lives of him and his brothers. Odd things often happened around them, not the least of which was the three boys somehow waking up with blue hair that wouldn't wash out, no matter how many baths they were given. They had a tendency to scare off any nanny their parents hired with their strangeness. Eventually, they were given an explanation; the three boys were all wizards.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR»» Dorian's first year of school was certainly an eye-opener. He was immediately impressed with magic, and all the amazing things he could do with it. He found that even history was somewhat less boring when there were goblins involved. SECOND YEAR»» Dorian's second year at school proved mostly uneventful. He was happy to return to the castle and be once again surrounded by magic. THIRD YEAR»» The Summer before Dori's third year, he was attacked by a wolf in the park near his house. He was rushed to the hospital for stitches where the creature had bitten his arm, and his parents put the boys all on house arrest 'for their own protection.' Upon arriving at the school again, an older student, Miles, approached him, and informed him that he had in fact been attacked by a werewolf, and that he had contracted lycanthropy. Miles took Dori under his wing, and brought him into his own pack, since Dorian had none of his own. FOURTH YEAR»» Compared to his third year, Dorian's fourth year was wholly uneventful. The most notable thing to've happened was his brother's plot to get him to attend the Yule Ball with Jess, an older girl in his house. The middle triplet posed as his brother and asked her to the dance, and Dori was very surprised to find that she'd said yes. FIFTH YEAR»» Dorian finally managed to escape the confines of his home for the first time since his attack this Summer; Jess came by his house and asked his parents if she could take him 'to the library' to study for his upcoming exams. In reality, the pair went to see a film together. At some point that school year, Jess discovered Dori's secret, that he was a werewolf, and shocked him by not only being totally cool with it, but by actually being interested in him. He'd been pretty well convinced that obviously she wouldn't be, given that she was so much older. But, the pair became a couple shortly before the Christmas holidays. SIXTH YEAR»» Dori's sixth year was almost completely uneventful; given that Jess had graduated the year before, he didn't have much in the way of company, and spent most of his time alone, finding various ways to entertain himself. He was looking forward to his Summer, but before the brothers could board the train to return home, Hogsmeade Village was attacked. Dori was badly injured in the attack, and would have died, but Julius got between him and the killing curse that had been aimed his way. Tyson apparated them out, but the damage had been done. SEVENTH YEAR»»After the catastrophe at Hogsmeade, Dori became horribly depressed. In general, he masked it well, but the truth was, he wasn't very good at coping with the loss of his brother. His parents and remaining sibling didn't particularly help, and he found himself fighting with them constantly. Eventually things between him and his mother devolved into a screaming match, and he said some things he regrets, but nothing he doesn't think is true. He left immediately to seek comfort, going to Jess' flat. While there, she offered for him to move in with her. Two weeks later, the pair spent a day moving all of his things out of his parent's house and into her flat, while the couple was at work. The Xanders parents returned home to find a note from their youngest. His contact with his family has been minimal since then. His final year at school was mostly uneventful, at least for him. There were exams to worry about, and the oddity of his becoming Head Boy, but overall it was quiet, which he appreciated. He also took a part time position working at Jason's shop to help the Alpha out.
ADULTHOOD xxx»» Immediately following graduation, Dori elected to keep his job at Dogweed and Deathcap in the meantime, figuring Jason could use the help, particularly since his former assistant Adalaide had quit without warning. In the future, he wants to go into Potion making, but for now he thinks he is needed, and being needed was a welcome distraction from the death of his brother and his subsequent self-imposed ostracization from his family. Meanwhile, a brief miscommunication led to his and Jess getting engaged on the spur of the moment, which is exactly how he thinks it was always meant to happen. xxx»» He was mostly caught up in planning the wedding when Kenny came into the shop on Valentine's Day, obviously distraught, and told him that his girlfriend Jojo hadn't shown up for their date. Given that it was a full moon, Dori elected to go hunting for her in his wolf form, and so was split off from the pack that night. When he returned to Dogweed and Deathcap at dawn, it was to find a bloody Kenny inside. There had been some nonsense with Jason and a wood nymph, and Kenny had ended up bitten. Dori was incredibly angry at the situation, and barely refrained from punching Jason (though he wasn't so good at refraining from taking it out on the man's walls). Dori did his part to help his friend adjust to being a werewolf, and tried his best not to hold a grudge against Jason and Sylvana over the whole thing, which he wasn't very successful at. xxx»» The wedding was planned, and went off smoothly, though Dori felt awkward asking Kenny to be a groomsman considering Jojo was still missing. Eventually she was found, a bit worse for the wear but alive, which he figured was all they could really ask for. Shortly after the wedding, Dori realized Jess was pregnant, and nine months later their daughter Billie was born. Her birth resulted in Dori finally coming clean about being a werewolf to his in-laws, with Jess going into labor on the full moon and her parents being rather upset with him for not being there. But, aside from that, the birth went as well as could be expected, and the thrilled new parents immediately took to spoiling their child rotten.

■ SOCIABLEJess is extremely extroverted; she's always up for a chat. She enjoys parties and other social events, and anything that gives her a chance to meet new people. Seeing as her job doesn't necessarily involve a lot of interaction with other people, Jess is usually more than ready to talk in her free time. She's extremely talkative and rarely at a loss for words, and also quite witty, given the chance. ■ KINDJess, for all her more petty tendencies, is honestly quite kind. She's friendly and generous towards perfect strangers, and is more considerate towards other people now that she's matured. She genuinely cares about other peoples's problems and is more than willing to let other people rant to her or just talk about their feelings. Jess believes in being extremely open and honest with her feelings, and encourages it in others. ■ GOOD HUMOREDJess is easygoing and approachable; she tends to put other people at ease, though she would argue that it might have a lot to do with her combined short stature and baby face that keeps getting her mistaken for a teenager. She takes thing in stride and is able to laugh at herself as much as she laughs at others; Jess is far from easily offended and often very self deprecating. ■ COMPETITIVEJess has always had a competitive streak in almost anything. Unfortunately, that never seemed to apply to her grades in school, but she does tend to compare herself to others and their accomplishments quite a bit. This can lead to unnecessary jealousy, as she sometimes feels as though she is always letting herself down, but her good nature usually wins out over this, and she tries her best to be a graceful loser. ■ OVERBEARINGJess can be a bit smothering, especially when it comes to the people she cares deeply for. She can border on domineering at times, and is very used to taking the lead in most situations, even when she probably shouldn't for the sake of everyone else. She won't hesitate to point out to others when she disagrees with what they're saying or doing, and her opinion is at times... less than helpful. ■ NOSYJess is extremely nosy; she was a curious, questioning child and is an even more curious adult. She's gotten far more subtle with her attempts to interrogate others over the years, but will still fly into 'pepper you with questions mode', particularly when excited or upset. Not being aware of something that everyone else is clearly aware of grates on her nerves, and the best way to infuriate her is to leave her out of the loop.

CHILDHOODJessamine was born to Cora and Garrett Walsh, a pureblood healer and a muggle doctor, respectively, as the second oldest of three at the time, preceded by her older brother Uriel, adopted at birth a year before, and followed fifteen minutes later by her fraternal twin brother, Tobias. The siblings grew up in Evesham, and their family was made bigger with the additional adoptions Eleazar and Althea, and the Walsh children's biological cousin, Violante. Jess considered herself close with all of her siblings, especially her twin, but often felt overlooked in the loving mess of her family, and was particularly excited to attend Hogwarts and be known as herself and not just 'another Walsh kid'.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEARJess was sorted into Hufflepuff, to the surprise of no one, while Toby was sorted into Gryffindor. The two were disappointed at being put in different houses, but quickly got over it as they settled into life at Hogwarts. Uriel went into a coma that year as well, which admittedly put a bit of a damper on things, but seeing as all was well by the end of the year, Jess felt like she couldn't complain much. SECOND YEARThe most memorable parts of Jess's first year were her friends finding a body in the dungeons of the castle, and the infamous Festival, at which she and Toby witnessed their father being brutally tortured by a vampire. While he did recover, Jess had nightmares for weeks afterward. THIRD YEARJess's friend Terren tragically died in a house fire, their quidditch team captain ended up committing suicide, and she ended up seeker for the Hufflepuff team, taking over Terren's position. They proceeded to lose every game, deeply shaking her confidence and sense of worth. FOURTH YEARJess did a bit better in Quidditch, and a talk with Gypsy after a crying jag in the girls loo helped her to move past a few of her issues. FIFTH YEARJess was made a prefect her fifth year, to her surprise, having never been the best student or much of a rule follower. Regardless, she embraced the position, and the fact that her friends all seemed to have paired up in romantic relationships, Gypsy dating Jer, and her twin dating Ronna. She did about as expected on her OWLs. That following summer her little sister, Thea, died under mysterious circumstances. SIXTH YEARJess was asked to the Yule Ball that year by an underclassman she was friends with, Dorian. She sensed he had a crush on her and was both flattered and uncertain of it, not wanting to make a move if it was just a passing thing on his end. She also discovered her animagus form, a hummingbird. SEVENTH YEARJess overheard Dori discussing being a werewolf on the train with his triplet, Julius, as well as discussing his feelings for her. Predictably, she was more focused on the feelings bit than the werewolf bit, and by the end of the year the two had confessed their feelings towards one another and were dating. Jess also discovered the truth about Thea's death; she'd been murdered by Eleazar's biological father, who had abducted him the previous summer before he managed to escape. She reluctantly went along with her younger brother's plan to become a vampire in an effort to protect himself and their family, fearing he might turn to suicide if she tried to stop him. On the plus side, Hufflepuff did very well that year, winning both cups, to her delight.
POST GRADUATIONAfter graduation Jess became a spell inventor, which seemed to her the logical choice, as she'd always had an affinity for charms, and wanted to do something creative. She became engaged to Dori after he graduated as well, and they married in the spring of 2033. Their daughter Billie was born in 2034.

WHIMSICAL xxx»» Billie has an extremely wild imagination. As a small child, her favorite thing was to play pretend. While she was always a princess, she insisted that she wasn't the sort of princess who waited around to be saved, oh no. She was the hero of her own story, with her faithful wolf and bird companions (played by her parents, of course), and always saved the day. As she's grown older, her imagination hasn't lessened, though she did start getting a little too big to wreak havoc on the flat. Instead, she began to draw and write, covering notebook after notebook with every fantasy she could think of, and the walls of her room (and the rest of her home) with drawings of all manner of things. She still plays pretend, of course, it's just usually more in her head than not.
ADAPTIVE xxx»» Billie is like a chameleon, easily adjusting her behavior to suit her current situation. When left alone with strangers, she's quite cautious and collected, generally trying to get a feel for how they would prefer for her to behave. But, when left in the company of someone who'll allow her to get a little crazy, she's quick to do so. She tends to mimic the behaviors and moods of the other people around her, and is an excellent friend. She's something of a follower, though if asked for an opinion, she usually has one.
KIND xxx»» Billie doesn't like for bad things to happen to people. If she can be helpful, she will, quite stubbornly. She won't rest until she's improved a sour mood. She likes to do little things to help people, like picking up trash when she walks along the street, or sharing her treats with children who don't have any. Generally speaking, she just wants to see people smiling. If she can figure out a way to turn a frown upside down, she's a happy camper.
EXCITABLE xxx»» Billie has two very enthusiastic, very demonstrative parents. From them, she has learned to wear her heart on her sleeve and always be honest about what she's feeling. For the most part, what she feels is excited, about almost everything. The list of things she doesn't like is rather short, and even then, her reaction to them is quite dramatic. She's prone to high pitched squeals and jumping up and down, unless she's in an environment where that's not allowed. If she has to be quiet, she'll stick to flapping her hands, or bouncing her legs. She has a hard time containing the impulse entirely, though she will if she gets scolded for fidgeting.
FRIENDLY xxx»» Billie likes people. Actually, she loves people. She's very fond of making new friends, and will happily introduce herself to any and everyone she can. She's not particularly discerning, which can be somewhat worrisome for her relatives. Though, not usually for her parents, which is perhaps even more concerning. Generally speaking, she chooses for herself who she does and does not like. She just happens to like most people. It takes a lot to put her off the idea of being friends with someone. She wants to be friends with everyone, and wants everyone to be friends with each other, and will not rest until she has made it so.
TALKATIVE xxx»» If left uninterrupted, Billie will talk a mile a minute for as long as she can without passing out from lack of breathing. She's quite the chatterbox, and honestly can't tell the difference between an actual conversation and her just rambling on. Generally speaking, once she gets going, it's hard to get a word in edgewise. She tries not to be rude and interrupt others, but sometimes her enthusiasm gets the best of her. Likewise, she often forgets what she was going to say if she doesn't get to say it soon enough, and has a habit of spitting it out before the other person is done talking. She doesn't mean to do it, it just happens, and she generally feels pretty bad about it. Unfortunately, she hasn't quite grasped the impulse control necessary to alter the behavior.

CHILDHOOD xxx»» Billie is the first and only child of Dorian and Jessamine Xanders. Though, she spends so much time with her cousins and the children of her parent's friends that she's not quite sure what being an only child is really like. Her early childhood was pretty normal, and maybe even boring. She doesn't really think of it that way, though, having a wild enough imagination and gotten into enough trouble with her makeshift siblings that it doesn't occur to her it might've been so. She did start to get lonely, once the older kids began going off to school, but she contented herself with the knowledge that soon she'd be following them.
