Character Name: Janice Winterman

Age: 8

Home: The Golden Star (charter fishing boat) (They have about 3-4 deck hands)

Home Port: Miami Florida

Likes: Swimming, Fishing, Salmon other fish, and anything else having to do with water. However she also likes coloring and making up stories.

Her stuff: Albert, a heart shaped silver locket, an extra pair of paints, another t-shirt, a skirt, a hair bow, tread and needle, knife, a small basket with scraps of cloth in it, A child storybook (True name to come latter). A fishing rod (this is the list of stuff she takes off the Golden Star)

Character Appearance (Human): Janice is the height of an average eight year old girl. She has blue eyes and white-blond, shoulder-length hair. She?s got upper body strength from helping with crates and fishing. Her skin would have a tan tint to it. She wares mostly jeans and shorts with t-shirts. However there are some days that she wares dresses and skirts, exp(Sundays and holidays) She?s hardly ever seen without Albert.

Character Personality: She?s loyal and dose things with in reason. She?ll fight off anyone who tries to harm Albert in anyway but can take a beating on herself. She?s kind and would help anyone out.

Character Background: Her Father was a firefighter that died in the line of duty and her grandfather (Captain) took her for a wile so her mother could do some coping. However Janice?s mother killed herself wall Janice was with Captain. So Captain being Janice?s only living relative was granted custody of Janice. Captain owned the Golden Star and Janice was five when she started sailing with her grandfather, going of fishing trips. Captain did it this way so she could be with family.
Janice was home schooled by one of the Crew members that Captain hired on for her. So she leaned writhing, reading going out of port and helping the fishers when there out fishing at sea then doing out loud math problems going in. Sometimes one of the ?guest? would give her a problem to work out,

How does your Character get to the Island? Captain decided to take Janice out just the two of them (A tree day excursion). Janice learned more about Navigating and Sailing. Then took helm when Captain took ill on the second day. Captain told her to head to land. A storm blew the small boat closer to the Island. However Captain died during the storm and Janice wouldn?t find out until after the storm. During the storm the radio went out so she could call ?May Day.?

What Serum do you want? Dalmatian Normal, with additional serum of Monarch wings and Antenna.

Describe your ideal 100% appearance:
I think this faze will be that Janice has the body shape, paws, legs, tail and body markings of a Dalmatian. Janice would have the sleek short fur of the Dalmatian. She?ll also still have her blue eyes and hair and stand on two legs like a human. As the extra serums would have the Antenna and Monarch wings that would come from the back. I think to better blind into the wings from the body that a patch or collection of spots will run in the aria where the two meet. I also think that there should be a spot on the tail. All other spots and patches I?ll leave to the artist.

Why this animal for your character? In Alice in wonderland you got the Dog and Caterpillars right? Then in another children’s book called the Tickle Bugs the main character is blowing bubbles that tern into “Caterflys”. So now the question is what would a Dog existent of that look like? The only thing would be which Dog and Butterfly? I chose the Dalmatian because one Janice’s father was a firefighter (and we all know that connection) and two I just really love Dals. I chose the Monarch because it’s the strongest winged butterfly and can make trips from Canada to Mexico and back again.

What do you think really makes this concept? A child?s is a possibility to open new doors in rping on the island. It also is an opportunity to see the affects of the serum on a child. I also think that since kids are found on their own all the time, that the island having a ?homeless? kid wouldn?t be an exception.
