Sophomore Quest: Workouts

The leaders felt that now you have a higher standing in the group it was time to enforce workouts. Both good for the mind and the body.

Quest Notes:
- Remember only Sophomore Level people can do this quest!
- Please roll each in separate posts and RP accordingly.
- You may do this one in a group or as a solo.
- 500 words mandatory for this quest!
- You can re roll if you get a double number.

Roll 1d10 in Four separate posts and match your results with the below.

  1. Run some laps around the Gym!
  2. Is that weights? You use a few weights that were left behind from the raids.
  3. Wildcard: Choose a activity to do some exercise! (Remember the area was raided, so there is no pool and the actual large gym-equipment seems to have been destroyed)
  4. Time to do some curl-ups.
  5. Push ups are the way to go.

  7. There is a bar still attached to the wall, do some pull-ups!
  8. I think some nice relaxing Yoga will do, theres a soft section of the floor to the side of the gym.

  10. Jumping jacks time!


Rewards:
- This quest is considered complete once every player inside has rolled all the times and made the minimal 500 word count each!

Working out was something Cecil actually didn't mind. It was an activity that helped strengthen the body and gave him something to focus on other than the looming doom of all mankind. The routine was simple enough before but he was actually glad when Corey added it to their daily tasks. As much as some of them might struggle it would be good.

Starting the day he began to stretch looking out over the pitiful gym equipment that had been left behind in the university. It was a little worse for wear but most of it was still functional at least and not many had scavenged weights since they weren't the most useful weapons.

Maybe today he would start with a run, he told himself. He used to run for miles every morning before work. He wasn't the fastest but he had endurance. Now running wasn't so easy, he couldn't safely go outside but that didn't mean he couldn't run the halls of the university.

In the end that was what he did. Cecil set out and just ran and when running back and forth became too boring he took the stairs and continued his loop. He must have done it for a solid forty minutes before his legs began to burn. It had been a while since he had put them through a good workout.

Back at the gym area Cecil continued his warm ups to keep his heart rate up. He never truly stopped moving, jogging into the room and immediately starting jumping jacks. Maybe he could talk Rook into doing this with him the next time around. It was always more entertaining to have a workout buddy. Plus the kid could use some exercise Cecil thought. He might have been able to run but he had skinny little arms and legs. Less wind resistance he had heard him say.

This had turned out to be a leg day, Cecil had decided. As soon as he was done with jumping jacks he started laps around the gym again. He worked his legs until the burn became a dull thing in the back of his mind that he could easily ignore and then ran some more. By the time he was done he knew he would be tired and need a shower but those were always the best kinds of workouts.

To at least give a variety in his workout Cecil had finally come to a stop and began to stretch again allowing his legs some time to cool down and hopefully not cramp up. Once he was done he headed for the few weights that had been left behind, picking through some of the heavier sets so that he could work his arms.

In total Cecil probably worked out for two hours, thankfully he always woke up early in the morning to see it done and be out of everyone's way. When he was done with the weights he put them back trying to straighten the weigh stand a bit before he left. He would have to come back at some point and try to clean up the gym a little for easier use. If not for himself for others at least. He could manage but the raids had left everything out of place and debris was still scattered everywhere. At least he had gotten his exercise for the day and with that done he headed to the showers to clean up and see what else Corey might need done.
