Today she went in search of another few houses she hadn't been through yet, going room through room. She took her time with it, as per the hour rule, and looked for other supplies too. But the only haul of the day was exactly the kind she was looking for. Three umbrellas, all in perfect condition. She twisted a bright yellow one in her hands as she made her way back home, admiring how much it stood out.
GATHERING UMBRELLAS
Before the outbreak, people really only used umbrellas when it rained. These days, they are highly sought after, at least if you're looking to make your home at Clearview. Every resident must carry three things with them at all times: a key card, knowledge of the current Clearview Salute, and an umbrella. Sometimes umbrellas are lost. It is up to the community to keep their numbers up.
