OOC
[ INSIDE - Broken down hospital wing, third floor. ] (EMOTION: PARANOIA) All the furniture is broken, the tables upturned. Some of the walls are missing. The only light source, other than any you have potentially carried with you, is the eerie moonlight peering through the fog. There is broken glass everywhere and you swear you can hear voices calling out to you.

OOC
Any player in your party [ carrying a flashlight ] will be able to shine it in dark places. This does an additional +1 damage every time they hit any sort of mob (including boss mobs!) when they flash it at them.

This effect is stacked with the above effect.

If you one person rolls a mob in a PRP/SOLO/ORP thread, nobody else in the thread has to roll for mobs! This post's effect is applicable to ALL characters, flashlight or none!

OOC

[ Infection Rate ]: 50 /100 - Your paranoia begins to build up even more. You begin to get angry as well, and your skin begins to itch sporadically. Sometimes, instead of just voices, you swear you see faces of familiar people in the distance. They always fade away when you stare directly at them.

Calab stumbled his way back into the hospital, far from the fog as he could get. There were voices outside his head, there were voices inside his head. Faces in the fog, always calling out to him for help. He'd seen things, he was sure had been true. The sky was grey, the fog was grey, everything was grey.

Why did he feel so hot? Calab scratched at his arm, leaving red marks over the lingering last marks from his fight with the Undying. It had been so long ago. Had it really happened, any of it? The Virus, the Mall, the Casino, the Fog... the Hospital.

It was dark inside. "I wonder if the doc has a new RX for me?" Calab asked suddenly.

"Don't know kid, all he ever does is ask me stuff about my life." HE responded. "Who constantly bugs a guy fresh from 'Nam to tell stories? I had enough time to think about it when I was there in those damn holes."

"It's dark in here." The child spoke up. "Have any of you seen my mummy?" The halls were silent. THEY had been moving the whole time, up the hospital stairs, one floor them the next, now at the landing to the third.

Calab paused. "No... haven't seen my mother either." Another pause. "But who cares?! They don't care, nobody cares! If they cared, they would have found us by now! They should be looking for us!" He shouted in anger. He should have remembered something, but he couldn't. Had Calab been only Calab and not teetering on the edge of THEM again, he might have remembered the ringing phone and the voice on the other end of the line. Right now though, the other persona were too much.

This floor had been torn apart, by an unknown force. Nothing had been left, the tables, the chairs, even the walls had holes in them. The darkness had lessened though. Moonlight filtered through the windows, or the holes that had once been windows, all their glass littered over the floor of the room THEY had entered.

"For the ever-loving-" HE punched the wall hard. "I had it all. My girl and I were going to get married, settle down have a few kids and a dog. Whole white picked fence-" It started as a yell, dwindling until only a word here or there was clear. "-draft- -ell on Earth- -home-" HE stopped. "What that noise?"

"I didn't hear-" Calab.

"Shush!" It's them, their in the walls... tunneling!" HE wrapped an arm around 'their' shared body, a hand over 'their' mouth. THEY crouched, HE was in control. Calab hadn't met HIM before. Still Calab let himself be lead. Time passed in the room. The hand loosened, the body stood. "Passed us." HE said.

"Let's move." The new voice was soft, the pitch different. "If we don't move, we are sitting ducks and I don't feel like being forced to be anyone's slave." The girl in charge flitted across the room lightly, like a Mosquito. She paused at a door, glancing in.

"Ain't you a pretty. How'd a slip of a girl survive The Virus?"

"Got myself in with a good gang." Mosquito answered as she scratched at her neck.

"Good girl." The voice rang in 'their' head.

"Shut it girl." Another inflection.

"The voices aren't real." This one sounded exasperated.

Mosquito shook her head. "Quiet!"

"Calab?"

Calab glanced around the room. Nothing.

"Calab, help!"

Calab jumped, the voice had been right behind him.

"Calab, you got into another fight? Stupid boy!" That had been his father.

Calab shook his head. "No, I didn't start it, I swear!"

"Don't give me that 'lost time' bull either!" The voice of his father continued. "Your mother might buy into it, but I don't!"

Calab stumbled back, as if a phantom hand had struck him. Suddenly his eyes narrowed. "You son of a-!" HE had surfaced again, the knife flashed in HIS hand. The words were no longer just in Calab's head, but HIS as well. The persona lunged at nothing, the room was empty save for one teen boy lost in madness.

OOC

[ Infection Rate ]: 50 /100 - Your paranoia has peaked. You feel terrified, alone, but you also feel the anger of being left alone. You begin to sweat, building a light fever and nausea. You sometimes pause mid-conversation entirely as in front of you sometimes appear people familiar to you, talking to you instead (if you are at this stage, you must consistently roll 1d10 per non-battle post you make, and if you roll 1-3 you begin to hallucinate).
