Another day another adventure out into the great big open world of scavenging, death and dying. Rajni gave out a short sigh as she was handed a slightly larger than average but still pretty small bag. She'd been given a huge bag before, why couldn't they go back to that Zelda?
Before leaving she decided to grab a few things from her room. The first was her trusty crowbar (couldn't leave anywhere without that after all). It fit snuggly into the little harness she'd made for it and the candlestick, but she was leaving the candlestick home (only for now. She'd heard talks about going into the harbinger's land, and she wasn't going into that empty handed). Secondly she grabbed one of her little half water bottles that Zelda had frowned upon- never knew when you were going to need water out there. She didn't bother with food; food was more easily scavenged than water was, and knowing her beefaroni luck she'd be fine. Lastly she picked up her sweater (it was cold out there! Don't judge), slapped the goggles onto her forehead and slipped her beaten gloves onto her hand. Rajni was one prepared ******** left the apartments and gave the appropriate signals to be released out into the open. Damn it was cold out today. Lately Rajni had been eyeing that Canada hat in Zelda's storage. It looked warm and toasty and Rajni was in fact Canadian. Maybe she was going to have to take a quick trip to find some umbrellas; maybe she could find some when she was out here?

Rajni wove herself through empty streets, trying not to feel saddened by all the downed powerlines, abandoned stores, overgrown weeds. Not but a month ago she would have complained about the sorry state of the city, maybe even called the city of Delta office to get them to come clean it up. Now it was just survival and sadness, a constant looming tiredness.
Most of the convenient stores had been positively picked clean (it was the place most people went first since they had food, water and other supplies lining every shelf). Rajni still warily checked each one she passed, just in case. Most of the time they contained undying to be snuck around and emptiness, but today this one had not one but two water bottles (the full size kind!). There was a stick on the ground outside, but she decided to leave it for the vulture.
