Although Professor Voss had successfully shaken off an unfriendly visitor, his ordeal in the hospital was not yet over. He ended up in the lobby -- and he thought the lobby was empty, but this apparently is not the case. His skin is itching, and his head is spinning -- he wants to get out of this place, but another humanoid form catches his eye from the far end of the lobby.

He knows that silhouette from anywhere, a large man reclining in a seat in the waiting room with one leg crossed over the other and his big arms folded across his chest. It's his husband whom he hasn't seen since the initial blackout. His breath catches in his throat as he approaches the other man, tears pricking his eyes in disbelief and relief. "David..!"

"Why didn't you come home, Fred?" The other man's tone is disappointed and accusatory. "You left me behind."

"I--" Voss's eyes dart to the floor, feeling guilty. "I didn't think-- I thought you didn't make it... you never came for me..."

"And you never came for me," Grant replies, his expression angry as he stands up, his skin tightening around his joints and starting to bruise. "You couldn't even think to call me."

"David, the phones were down, please understand," Voss begins to tremble, his voice wavering. "Between here and home were swarms of infected. I couldn't leave. I was stranded."

The larger man takes a step forward towards him with clenched fists, and Voss takes a step back. The other man's hair is starting to fall out in silvery clumps in the dim light of the hospital, as though he were decaying right before Frederich's eyes. "Do you think I care about that, Fred? You could have gotten in your car, started the engine, and mowed down hordes of those ********' zombies to come home, but you didn't."

"I was afraid," Voss retorts, blinking away tears, but now they're starting to flow freely. He clutches his head, choking. "I was afraid. I was afraid, I didn't want to find out what happened to you. I didn't--"

"Of course you didn't, Freddo," snaps Grant. His skin is blackening now, tightening around his fingers so they appear like skeletal digits, and his ribs are visible through his fraying shirt. "'Cause you're a ********' selfish little b***h who only looks out for yourself. You only care about what makes you look good to other people, least of all the ********' guy you married. You're a real piece of work, you know that?"

"I'm sorry, David, I'm sorry," Voss sobs, sinking to the floor as the apparition stands over him, his eyes gleaming down at the professor like burning coals. "You're right. I should have gone home for you. I should have looked for you... instead, I stayed on the campus like a coward. You're right. Everything you said about me was right..."

Apparently satisfied, the haunting vision of Voss's husband begins to dissolve, and the professor is left alone with only his tears and the thoughts seeded into his mind from the hallucination.

OOC: SCENARIO 3

Scenario requirements: Your character turns the corner and is suddenly greeted by an apparition of character of your choice, from either this meta OR from before it in their lives that was important to them. That character begins to talk to them, as if they were that person (just rp it out yourself for that part, as this is what your character THINKS is that character). Your character is CONVINCED that this is this person, and they are alive.

The apparition begins to accuse your character of things. They could be anywhere from "why are you making these choices" to "you did __ wrong". You feel paranoia and regret. If you are rping with multiple characters, for this part, you CANNOT see anything other than the apparition. The more they talk, the more the apparition's face, and body begins to rot, as if rapidly going through the stages of the infection. At the very end, you are left talking to an Infected version of the apparition, before it dissolves away. Their accusations never leave you

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
Characters involved: Frederich Voss
Extra effect: Any player in your party [ carrying a flashlight ] will be able to shine it in dark places. This does an additional +1 damage every time they hit any sort of mob (including boss mobs!) when they flash it at them.

If you one person rolls a mob in a PRP/SOLO/ORP thread, nobody else in the thread has to roll for mobs! This post's effect is applicable to ALL characters, flashlight or none!

[Voss has no flashlight.]

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Frederich is a grim-faced old man with a wiry build, sunken eyes, and bony hands. He walks with a cane and carries himself with much importance, as he places a lot of stock in being seen as intimidating by others. Grey hair tied back in a short ponytail, ghostly pale skin, almost anachronistic way of dress. His coat is padded to make himself look bigger than he actually is.
