Supplies were always needed in the prison, and Shaun was getting good at getting them. This time, he walked back into the place with the Starbucks, looking warily around him for undying. He'd been here before, but there was a chance he'd missed something... after all, the other floors had been barricaded, and he had certainly not cleared out the lobby.
Indeed, there was a huge supply of precious water bottles in the restaurant, miraculously untouched. Shaun proceeded to stuff them into his bag, grinning – he would get some serious cred for bringing these in, for sure.
He searched around the rest of the lobby, checking every nook and cranny before returning to the stairs. There, he might find a few more. And then, he'd call it a day and book it back to the Prison – he didn't intend to try his luck...

Character's name: Shaun Sawyer Character's faction: Prison Character's Rank: Officer Character's journal link:Link Character's survival stats: View BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Pale white skin with freckles, pale blonde hair and blue eyes – Shaun looks like a young, handsome, somewhat washed out young man. His face was rounder in his childhood, and elongated with puberty, but he still looks like the imp that he is and was, and his body is lean but muscular and very flexible. He has a cute teddy bear (or is it a monkey?) backpack that he uses to carry stuff in. Its really cute.
Shaun is mischevious, easygoing, and very friendly but he's also a little reckless by nature, especially when showing off his acrobatics. He needs people and does not do well alone, so he makes a great teammate and will be as helpful as possible, but ultimately he is out for himself.
Shaun tentatively walked up the empty, echoing stairwell, glancing at the barricades as he went past. He wasn't sure he could open them himself, not without a crowbar... obviously he needed to get one. That would be handy!
The barricades seemed to all be in place, which was unfortunate. Shaun tapped at one of the barricades experimentally – he didn't expect it to do anything, certainly not to fall apart at his touch.
“Well then...” he whispered to himself, peering into the opening at the door beyond. It was dangerous, but it was also too tempting to pass up. He opened the door and slipped inside.
It was another office setup, just like the other one, but it stank with the smell of death and dust and decay and forlorn abandonment. There were bodies, decayed and rotten, strewn about. They had been running from something – some looked like they hadn't managed to do even that.
Shaun decided that he wasn't going to spend much time in this place – just go through, find any obvious stuff, and get out.
This, though, was apparently the place to do it. Almost literally the first desk he looked at had an entire crate of water bottles, apparently stashed there for the occupant to drink from at work. “I guess they didn't trust the water either.” Shaun murmured, packing as many as he could fit into his trusty backpack.
He was pleased with his haul, and very ready to head back with what he had. Alert for danger, he headed back to the lobby...
Shaun, aware as he was, was tensed and ready for the noise from behind him. He dodged an awkward lunge and didn't even look at the shadow monster before bolting off down the stairs at what was probably an unhealthy speed...
Shaun hopped down the last few stairs, landing right on his feet in an almost painful manner before shoving his way through the door to the lobby and resuming his mad dash towards the exit. The supplies – heavy as they were – weighted down on him as he did so, but he just put in the extra effort to keep moving. He did not want to be caught...
Shaun ran and ran, and apparently that was too much for the over-filled backpack. It opened (fortunately not splitting a seam) and a whole bundle of precious water tumbled out. Damn Shaun cursed, but the thing was still chasing him... He'd just have to go back for them later.
He put on a burst of speed and made it back to the prison, in once piece thank god...
