OOC: SCENARIO 8 Scenario requirements:Your character finds a campfire, and there's a few people settled around it. The people stationed at the campfire are fixated at it,and almost say nothing to you. You can (and any other players in the thread) talk to them as you wish. When you are done talking to them all, this event is over! Character 1: A girl with long black hair. She stares into the campfire and continues to say the words she lied over and over. Character 2: A balding, old man. He begins to recount a story about his past, about how he was a fisherman. All he fished up were dead bodies. He continues to talk about fishing up his friends. He continues to talk about his wife and how he fished her up too. The story gets more and more morbid. Character 3: A small boy, maybe five years old. He is looking straight at you the entire time. As you approach him, he whispers I know why this is is happening. If you question him further he doesn't say anything. However if you bribe him with a food item (DISCARD IMMEDIATELY AFTER) he will take it and continue speaking. I am Peter Pan. You blink, and as you do, you realize it wasn't a child at all, but simply an skeleton corpse of a child. When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter Characters involved: Annalise Lapointe Extra effect: Any player in your party [ carrying a flashlight ] will be able to shine it in dark places. This does an additional +1 damage every time they hit any sort of mob (including boss mobs!) when they flash it at them

Her fingers twitched, her eyes lids finally fluttered open and eventually her whole body finally began to stir. Lease lay on the ground confused as what had actually happened and why she was on her back in the first place. The flowers, she realized, focusing her eyes upward to see them still ********," she wheezed, pushing herself up to a seated position and instantly grabbed at her head. There were still thoughts filtering in, screaming and wailing and conflicting emotions fighting for dominance. They whirled and didn't dare to settle. It hurt. "********..." she gasped again, pushing herself to shaky feet, still clutching at her temples, trying to ease the headache that was already there.
Maybe she needed to head inside after all. That sucked - and at least those were her own thoughts. Lease stumbled forward and began to walk towards the hospital.
But her sense of direction came to be a little off when she found herself at a campsite instead. It wasn't something she had passed on her way to the barricade (or maybe it was and she didn't care?) There were people seated around the crackling embers, they didn't seem to be moving, just stared ahead as the lights danced on their faces.
Despite her usual disposition with people, she approached them. Maybe they... could... help (urg). "Hey, you guys know where the hospital..." Her sentence fell short as she approached, they really seemed scared or something. Keeping a hand on her head, she first went to the girl with long black hair and gently shook her shoulder.
It didn't seem to do anything, "dammit, seriously... my head hurts, I don't need this." Lease hissed as the girl just repeated two words over and over.
"Who lied?" ******** this was annoying.
Were the others this bad off? Gently she turned to the older man and leaned towards him, he also was.. just staring. But at least talking a few more sentences than the stupid girl across the fire.
'Twenty years I was a fisherman, even got through the hurricanes and the swells. Made a decent living, was able to feed me and the misses well enough with cash to spare. Was reputable. But after a while, the bodies just kept getting caught in the nets. I thought nothing of it, reported them to the police like I outta. We would have a laugh about some of them, make up stories while the police tried to make their actual investigations. Mob bosses, affairs gone wrong.
But then the bodies kept piling. More and more. Rotting, eaten, chewed. Infected. They got the fish too, unsaleable.
I should have quit there, but the infection got so bad. She came down with it. Disappeared one day. I should have quit there. There were more bodies in the nets. One day she was in one. Her arm was torn off, her cheeks swollen with water, bloated from being at sea for so long. That's hwo the bodies started to come in, so many days at sea. Weeks. Body parts after a while -'
Lease pulled away, wincing from the pain in her head. That was too much of a story. She had actually stopped listening after a while, he had nothing interesting to say. Something about fish.
Lastly, she stared at the kid. How he could possibly be helpful she didn't know. But it was worth a shot.
I know why this happening He said aloud.
"Right," she snorted. Then winced. How could he know how this all happened? (Or maybe his dad worked for the government or something, had seen the plans).
He said nothing. Lease threw her [ RED HERRING ] at him. It was meant to be a jest, but her earnestly took it after it bounced off his chest.
I am Peter Pan. He whispered.
... ********, what a waste! Lease rolled her eyes and looked back at him, ready to rip him a new one. But all there was a skeleton, the same size as a child.
"The.. ********..." Really, she would have thought it was kind of creepy cool but... s**t, what? Her head was still playing tricks on her apparently. Lease closed her eyes for a moment before finally turning and leaving.
