The hospital was freaky enough on it's own, but with his mind feeling as if it was slowly slipping away things that weren't normally frightening appeared doubly so to him. Every room was suspect, every sound malicious, every voice only ever in his mind. Drew escaped the company of others for a time after running off, too doubtful of anyone and everyone, too doubtful of himself to trust being in company with others at the moment. It was only for now...only for now.

With heavy breaths he rounded the corner and froze, eyes taking in the figure of his best friend. Same uniform. Same smile. Same salute greeting. Same everything...

"Kyle?" he asked slowly at first. When Kyle smile back his smile widened and he made his way over, raising a hand to start their customary handshake. When he got no reply he passed it off as perhaps some kind of urgency; Kyle had often passed off the gesture when he was in a rush or if he was sick or something. "Bro, what the hell!" he cried, a smile starting to split his face.

"What do you mean what the hell?" Kyle asked. That voice...it'd been so long since he heard it. He was a little surprised at how much he'd missed it... "You're the one who never showed up to the scrimmage match, you tell me!"

Kyle's laughter echoed in the empty hospital halls, accompanied by Drew's and for the first time everything felt normal.

Normal. Does it really still exist?

A slight shake of his head dismissed the voice and he carried on the conversation. Talk of practice and hang-outs and old memories during college. Mention of Jade and a possible engagement (Kyle wasn't sure)...yet slowly but surely something started to seem off about Kyle. His cheeks started paling, then sagging. His eyes began to droop and his skin grayed, taking on the color of a corpse as he continued to go on about his proposal ideas. Drew watched in horror as his friend, his best friend began to decay before his very eyes.

And then it went from proposal plans to how he'd messed up all his plans by going off to college in another city. By living his life. How he and Jade had suffered at the hands of the undying early on, sometime in the middle of day zero. How that was his fault and that he hadn't done anything to save them.

Why didn't you help us? Why didn't you call? It's your fault. You're useless!

Eventually Kyle's body decayed and fell away, leaving nothing but a nasty form of an apparition, with its garbled voice that seemed to reach him, and him alone. Drew took a step back as it started to fade away, then another, then another until finally he turned around and made his way back to the exit.

Its words, though, never left him.

There was nothing he could do. He couldn't save anyone. Death was inevitable...

OOC: SCENARIO 3
Scenario requirements: Your character turns the corner and is suddenly greeted by an apparition of character of your choice, from either this meta OR from before it in their lives that was important to them. That character begins to talk to them, as if they were that person (just rp it out yourself for that part, as this is what your character THINKS is that character). Your character is CONVINCED that this is this person, and they are alive.

The apparition begins to accuse your character of things. They could be anywhere from "why are you making these choices" to "you did __ wrong". You feel paranoia and regret. If you are rping with multiple characters, for this part, you CANNOT see anything other than the apparition. The more they talk, the more the apparition's face, and body begins to rot, as if rapidly going through the stages of the infection. At the very end, you are left talking to an Infected version of the apparition, before it dissolves away. Their accusations never leave you

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
