Corey, Charlotte and Charlie were wandering around the area. Or, rather, they tended to play an awful lot of games together. A lot of poker, it seemed. They were pretty accessible, to anyone who wanted to come say hello, or...for most things, really.

"Caroline?" Liam touched the woman's arm as he wandered up to her, other hand rooting around in the bag slung over his shoulder. "I've got a lot of supplies. More than I need, I think. If I give some to you will you make sure it's put to good use?" The last was just a little muffled as he looked down, trying to find the item he was looking for. The bag was full, and there didn't seem to be any sort of organization applied to how the contents had been arranged inside.

The touch startled her, but Caroline tried not to show it. Distractions were impossible to avoid, largely because so many of them lived inside her own head, and she stood no chance at focusing in a time and place like this. She never could seem to get used to responding in a reflexively negative way when she was touched, which was made even more frustrating by the fact that she did like to be touched. Actively enjoyed it, even.
Especially when it came from people who really mattered, and everyone at the university qualified as that. Some mattered more than others, as expected, but they all mattered. That was more than she could say of most of the connections she'd made in her life.
"As long as you're certain it's surplus." She looked him over from head to toe, assessing his state of well-being.

He smiled reassuringly, letting his hand fall away as he pulled a sweater from the bag. "It is, I have another." As well as the goggles resting on his head, the gloves poking from his back pocket, and the ducky towel still folded in the bag. He'd look generally healthy, if perhaps a little on the thinner side, but didn't they all? A touch pale, but given their current situation that wasn't to be unexpected.
"There's gotta be someone else that needs one. Or something that it can be traded for." Likely he could have found someone himself, but the leads would knew better than he would who was in need and who wasn't. Not that any of them were really well off, but some seemed to be doing better than others. He didn't know if that was luck, or something else entirely.

All of the standard motherly efforts of 'you're not getting enough to eat' had long since been abandoned, much to her chagrin, and there was absolutely no sense in telling any of them to get cleaned up or put on fresh clothing at this point. They all did well with doing their best with what they had, so it wasn't all that surprising when Liam met whatever criteria it was that Caroline was using.
"Thanks, Liam." She accepted the sweater with a smile. "You're a good kid. You're all good kids. I'm lucky to know you."
That became more and more evident by the day, as she continued to realize just what she would had lost if she hadn't been in the right place at the right time.

He grinned and stood up a little straighter, obviously pleased with the praise. Rather dog like, in all honesty, but then Liam did share a lot of the same sort of qualities. "Thank you. and, ah, ditto. I lucked out ending up with all of you, but I'm happy I did."
A few hours less spent at the bar, and who knows where he would have ended up instead. Not here, maybe not with any group. Despite everything else, it was really hard not to be grateful for the University survivors taking him in and treating him like one of there own.

He had stolen something, and it was only good to use his it for others. He worried about that boy who ran, and the students' welfare.
Wandering, he managed to spot Corey lane and moved over, flagging him down. "Excuse me, I think I....well, I need to tell you something." The man might be a bit flushed in the face, a little too pink, and smelling of alcohol.
Looking around, he leaned in. "I've got gas."
He looked at Corey, eyes magnified yet squinting behind his thick glasses.
"I want to give it to you."
He paused before he gestured and pointed under a table where he was keeping a red gas container. "I don't know if it will help."

Sneaking for Survival
Her game was interrupted by a rather drunk Professor. Which normally would have been funny, had his words not been a little more, ah, concerning.
"Er - good for you?" She said, confused for a moment, and instinctively leaning away from the drunken man and his alcohol-laden breath. It was even creepier, she thought, since his eyes were magnified rather intensely. Especially this close. Then, his words caught up to her. He wanted to give her his gas? Wait, what?
"Wait - I don't think I-!" Panic filled her voice, until she noticed his hand, and glanced down to see the red container.
…
…
"…Oh. Oh." Suddenly, it all made sense. The comment, the trade, the secrecy. "Err - Thanks, Professor. I'll keep it safe, and use it only if we need it." She promised, with a nod and a smile.

Harper made a bee line to Corey, she didn't say anything but instead handed her a bottle of pills to trade for more coins. It wasn't much but it was more than nothing.

It seemed that both of them were clearly for the better after their interaction thus far, however brief it had been. She, too, stood with a little more pride as she held the sweater against her chest. She never could shake the feeling of how strange it was, seeing clothing this size and thinking of it as clothing for the children.
"Not many times I've ever been happier," she admitted, gaze lost in the sleeves of the sweater, following each little stitch back and forth and back and forth down the length of it. "And I'm sorry that--before all this, I mean, before things really changed here--I'm sorry that I kept my distance. And that I may potentially have done things that you might have considered a bit mean. But no more of that, all right?"
She gave him a playful nudge.

She looked almost sad for a moment, or at least that's how Liam saw it. Until she looked up and smiled at him again. Caroline could be a little eccentric, a little strange, but there was so much more to her than just that. And besides, there was Hinton wrong with strange. Nothing at all.
He chuckled as she nudged him, humming thoughtfully before giving a small shake of his head. "I didn't know you before all this, so you don't have to worry about that. All that matters now, is...well, now, right?" Another sheepish grin, and he reached up to rub at the back of his neck.
"I'm sure you're busy, I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing before I caught you. But that you," he paused, gesturing at the sweater. "For this, and everything else."
He had coins to collect, and they weren't going to collect themselves!

Got 30 coins in my pocket
Kammy whizzed by to drop off some extra items she had saved. It was getting close to the deadline, and she was worried about everyone else.
