"Come on then, we'll hit the washroom and get you all cleaned up." He nodded in the direction the bathroom was in, as if she didn't already know, and with her assistance started down the hall in that direction.

"So you were a student here?" Probably. Most of their faction were either students of faculty. Liam was sort of the odd man out, since he was neither enrolled at the university, nor did he work there. He just happened to be in teh right place at the right time. Or maybe wrong time...

Yeah, definitely wrong time.

Harper didn’t argue and simply let Liam lead her down to the bathroom, keeping her other hand around his waist. She kept her pace even with his not wanting to make his leg any worse than it already was by being to slow.

“Yea, I used to be an art student, I was actually in the art department down in the print room when this all started.” If she had been anywhere else she wasn’t sure she would have made it. The art department at one point had been a second home she knew where everything was, the safest place to hide, even where all the nook and crannies where things could hide. “Where were you when this all started?”

When they reached the bathroom Liam indicated the counter the sinks were situated in. She could sit whole he cleaned her up a bit. It'd probably be better for her, honestly, if she was suffering blood loose. He didn't want to see her faint. "I was, uh, at a bar." He smiled sheepishly as he pulled the towel from his bag and wet it under the faucet. "On a tour of the campus, trying to decide if I wanted to enroll here." Not that he thought he had the grades for it, but she didn't need to know that.

"When the lights went out we went outside, and then we saw them, the infected." He frowned, then shook his head before leaning in to stat working gently at the blood on her cheek. "Ending up with you guys, it was just a case of right place at the right time, honestly."

Harper hopped up onto the counter, her feet dangled off the edge as she resisted the urge to swing them back and forth. She had ignored turning around and looking in the mirror, by the look of concern on his face earlier she must have looked rather worse for wear.

“Oh, it’s a shame you didn’t get the chance to actually enroll and start a year here. We could have a lot of fun at a few parties you know.” She grinned at him as he brought the towel over soaking it in warm water, oh the parties she used to go too, so much fun.

“I think you were rather lucky honestly.” She leaned a little forward as well as he cleaned the blood off her cheek, a grin still remained on her lips. “This is probably the best place to be out of all the factions in my opinion.”

He smiled, sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm probably. You seem like a fun person to be around, Harper." He shrugged, smile slipping just a touch around the edges. "I'm not sure I had the grades to get in here though, in all honestly." He didn't know that for a fact, mind, since the world had gone to s**t before he'd had a chance to check on it, but if he were guessing.

"I do count myself lucky though." Maybe his roommate wasn't the easiest to deal with, and maybe he'd dredged up a little baggage from his past, but none of that really mattered when he considered how open and welcoming everyone in the university was. Not only that, but everyone worked together to become stronger as a unit, rather than competing against one another for what limited resources they had.

"I wouldn't want to be anywhere but here." He paused, lips pursing as he scrubbed at a spot on her temple. "Well, I want the world not to be ending in the sort of plot line found in Resident Evil, but." He chuckled, touching a finger to her chin so he could turn her head to the side. "Beggars can't be choosers, I guess." It was hard to say whether or not he wished none of this had happened, because then he never would have met most of them, and the thought of not having the rest of the university faction just...sucked.

“Oh I totally am a fun person to be around.” Harper grinned as she noticed the corner of his lips trying to give her a smile. She was sure he would look even more adorable with a smile on his face instead of frowning all the time. “Please, let’s not bring up my grades. I mean they were ok they weren’t super smarty-pants grades but I did enough to get by. Except math, if it wasn’t for tutoring I would have failed it, good thing I only had to take one math class.” Literature wasn’t all that hard, if she had bothered to memorize any of the material but math, still did her no good. Too bad her teachers weren’t around for her to tell them how useless the class still was for her.

Harper leaned her head a little and closed her eyes when he started to scrub her temple, not wanting any water to drip down. She was lucky too, there was a time where she thought about not going back, she had thought about taking a semester off and really trying to figure out what she was going to do but she didn’t. Even now she was beyond happy of her choice.

“No I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else either.” Harper looked up at him before turning her head the other direction, his fingertips tickling her under her chin. “We have all been pretty lucky, I mean yea beyond the whole doom and gloom. Honestly though I don’t think I would have survived if you guys weren’t here. If had been anywhere else…I might have already been chump meat.”

Ah, not the only one with subpar grades, then. That had Liam feeling a little better about himself. "I was an athlete in high school. Got into this really fancy private catholic school in the city on a soccer scholarship." It was hard not to notice, as he worked to clean away the blood, the delicate structure of the bones in her face, or the dusting of dark freckles that stood out on tanned cheeks. She was a sweetheart, energetic but kind, and pretty enough that he was blushing faintly as she mentioned his having played a part in her still being alive.

True, it was a very tiny part, but still...the boy liked to feel needed. Needed to feel needed, really.

"The same for me, I think. I would have just been wandering the streets if I hadn't been so close to campus. Doubt I would have made it very long. I'm not much of a fighter." Something he'd found out quickly while fighting against the infested and the undying.

God, her skin was soft...

“Ooo, being athletic is really good, even better when you got into a fancy private school for it. Did you ever think about getting a scholarship at university too?” Not that it mattered at the moment Harper thought, feeling a little stupid for asking it in the first place. Unfortunately she was getting used to blurting out things and still not considering the consequences to them. At least she could say that soccer agreed with him, he was certainly fit than most and adorable when he blushed.

“I can fight… Ok so it’s more like being a scrapper with only some martial and kick boxing skills from the few classes I attended its enough to hit a few and get away. The problem would the lack of sleep; the lack of food, the constant talking to myself I would have gone mad. Or I would have done something really incredible stupid and attracted attention to myself I am sure.” She gave a light laugh as she tried not to move too much while he still tried to clean her face. “Really though its been a lot better talking you and the others. It’s like remembering I don’t have to be completely alone.” Harper looked at him still giving him a soft smile, he was really cute, and he would have had rows of lovers flocking to him if he had attended.

He nodded, letting his hand fall away so he could turn to the sink and rinse the towel, trying not to pay attention to just how much blood was circling the drain. It didn't matter now, she as alright now. It didn't do to worry of what could have happened, not when their lives were in danger so often. It was better to focus on the fact they they had all survived, that they were all still here. "I thought about it, but I wasn't sure many universities had soccer teams."

He had to agree with her, too. It wasn't just the lack of back up, or shelter that would have done him in. It was the lack of actual support. "You're not alone." Ringing out the end of the towel, he lifted his head to smile at her, bring it around again so he could work on the rest of her face. "I'll always be here for you, Harper."

Harper felt a little sick watching as Liam washed the towel out into the sink, no wonder he gave her such a look earlier. She knew she had loss some but it had never occurred to her really how much until she could see it. It may have been a terrible idea to run around without any concern earlier. When Liam mentioned about being unsure about soccer Harper didn't respond instead she looked at the ground. There was nothing she could say now to fix it now.

Swinging her legs slowly she thought about the first few weeks after day zero and how there was so much fear and confusion. If it wasn't for Corey, Caroline, and Charlie herding them all together and everyone doing their best to help they would have been fighting to struggle among one another.

Harper looked at Liam as her cheeks grew a faint tinge of red in her cheeks as he mentioned being there for her. She had done her best to avoid getting too close to anyone but now she had people she could call friends again, people she didn't want to lose. "Thank you Liam... You know I will always be there for you too. No matter what I swear it cross my heart." She did the motions before looking up at him, giving him the most sincere smile she could.

Her freckles stood out a lot more vividly when she blushed, and it was enough to turn the athlete pink as his hand stilled next to her cheek. He swallowed, glanced to the side, then cleared his throat and attempted to get back to work. Her face was almost clean now, just had to get along the edge of her jaw on the one side and down the line of her...neck.

Maybe this was a bad idea.

"Um." His hand on her chin was softer this time, turning her head so he could get the hard to reach smears of blood behind the curve of her jaw. "Thank you. Really. I appreciate that." Even disheveled and covered in blood, she was still pretty, and a with a wonderful personality to match, he really didn't stand a chance here.

"Almost done," he murmured, wiping away the last little bit on her chin before moving down. And here he'd keep his attention very stubbornly downward, not meeting her eyes as he scrubbed gently at her neck.

Harper watched as Liam turned a new shade of pink, watching as he paused for a moment before reaching for her jaw, turning it to get the last bit along near her neck. The warm water from the towel and the soft touch from his fingers sent a small shiver down her back as she tried not to move, or even give the impression that she had some reaction.

“Your welcome Liam.” She did her best to keep watching him from the corner of eye as he work, noting the length of his soft hair that fell around his cheeks. There was a moment when she wanted to tousle it, even just a moment if he would let her.

“I really appreciate your help with his, I didn’t realize there was so much. I never really took a moment to look in the mirror.” He was now avoiding her look, which brought a bit of a crooked grin to Harper’s face as she leaned forward a little more trying to get him to meet her eyes again.

He was very aware of her watching him, and it did nothing to help the blush that lingered on his cheeks. He tried to ignore it. Or rather, he tried not to to fixate on it, though that was quite difficult. Harper had really pretty eyes; a bright green that was borderline ethereal. As bright as she was energetic.

"You're welcome." She'd leaned, trying to catch his eye, and he paused blinking at her. "You, uh." That grin. "Gotta be more careful." A request, rather than him chastising her. His hands fell away. He'd gotten her as clean as he could with the towel, but she'd need a shower to get the harder to reach places.

By contrast, his hands were now fairly messy. He looked down at them, rubing at once with the towel before being it up to push a bit of over long hair from his face with his wrist.

Harper felt a little bad, it was almost as if she was teasing him just a little bit too much, but not bad enough for her to stop. He was getting too cute to resist, especially with the still lingering blush on his cheeks.

She watched as his dark blue eyes blinked, as he seemed to lose his train of thought only for a moment before recovering. Chuckling softly and then giving him a nod Harper watched as he finished with her dropping his hands away from her. “I feel much better.” Not really, she had enjoyed the attention.

She remained sitting on the counter as he washed his own hands, ignoring the feeling of clean in contrast with her clothes. “I can’t make any promises but I will can tell you I will most certainly try to be more careful from here on out. That means you have to too, don’t think I forgot about your leg.” There was a look of concern on her face before she tugged on something wrapped around her wrist.

“Here.” Holding it out to him it was a bright green sport headband with some sort of blue writing on it. “You can borrow…or keep it just don’t go losing it ok. It’s my favorite color.”

Ah, the leg. It wasn't as if he'd forget, not really, but focusing on helping Harper had taken his mind off it. Now his attention fell to his thigh, the bandages wrapped around it. He touched it gingerly, frowning himself. "I'll be careful." As careful as he could be while still trying to look out for everyone, but that he kept to himself. He knew himself well enough to know that if someone was in danger, he'd try to help them.

He blinked as she held something out to him, taking it slowly. "I can't accept this." Not if it was her favorite. Personal possessions were so few and far between now. Liam suspected that was why they were all getting so attached to each other.

He stretched it between his fingers, then looked up at her in question, brows raised. "Are you sure?" He had lost the last one in the explosion.
