Lorena had left the blackjack table feeling useless. She hadn’t won that many coins. All she wanted to do was go back home and hide for a couple of days. She wasn’t too far off from what she needed, but she didn’t want to play anymore. So Lorena had gone off on a search for people she knew, maybe even find Hurby. She was sure he would have gotten himself all the coins he needed and bought himself out by now, he was that good at these games. Sighing softly, Lorena kept walking through the people until she did spot someone familiar.
“POMELO!” She yelled, running over and gripping the girl by the shoulders. “Oh my god Pomelo, you’re here too. Did they get you yet? Don’t drink anything; you’ll have to gamble for your life! You need to get out of here if they didn’t drag you out back yet!” If she could spare on person than she would.

Her neck was probably going to be a little sore for a day or so, but she didn't really care. Now that the collar was off...her main job was to try and get as many people out of here as she could before they booted her. Or worse--got her again. With a sigh she walked along, the jingle of her bag of coins not really bothering now that she'd bought her safety. She was looking to her left when she heard a familiar voice call out her name, and when she saw Lorena running toward her she gave a wide smile.
"Lorena!" she called, though her words stopped there as she felt the other woman gripping her by the shoulders. The smile only got wider when she listened to the woman warn her about the casino, and she nodded. "I know," she replied softly, wriggling out of the woman's grasp so she could properly pull her into a hug. It was meant to both calm and comfort Lorena, though it had much the same effect on her. "I managed to get the coins I needed, now I'm just hanging around to get more coins and maybe help some other people out."
She paused, then added, "I was hoping I wouldn't find you in here, to be honest..."
She was hoping not to run into any more Clearviewers. The less of them that got trapped in here, the better.

The hug was indeed comforting; Lorena had been on the verge of a complete breakdown. She breathed in once deeply to calm herself a little more.
“Oh that’s very good. Good for you Pomelo.” Lorena touched her own collar. “I’m still trying to collect some coins for my own. Can you believe that they actually think I was worth one hundred and forty coins! A little ridiculous if you ask me.” Lorena stopped her rambling to offer Pomelo a smile.
“I think… I think almost everyone is here. I saw Durza and an old man whose name escapes me right now. He seemed to have bought himself out too though.” Most people seemed to be doing okay. “Everyone needs to stop going out of the zones, every time it just keeps getting worst.”

She hoped it helped even just a little as she pulled away, then nodded. It was good that she got away, but she didn't want to literally just run off and enjoy her freedom. She couldn't, knowing there were more Clearviewers still stuck in here. "I don't really wanna think about why they based our value on our health," she said, already having hazarded a guess early on. "But that's the highest number I've seen so far. How close are you? If I can help at all..."
She let her sentence trail as Lorena mentioned the other Clearviewers she'd seen. The only old man she could think of was Grant...the big oaf managed to find his way in here, huh? It was hard to believe anyone could subdue him...these guys were good. At least he was safe, though.
Mel nodded again, to confirm other Clearviewer sightings. "I ran into Durza a little while ago, too, and a few others. I think we're all getting through this somehow, but a game plan would be nice..." Back-up plans were always a good thing, after all. Even back-up plans to those back-up plans, if the situation absolutely called for it. "And yeah, these zones are literally out to get us all. First bandits with automatic weapons and grenades, now this nonsense? Ugh..."
How badly did The Man want to stick it to the world, anyway?

“I imagine they –“ No, not she didn’t want to say it out loud. Something told her they sold parts of people to… Well, she had no darn idea. The idea was scary though, there were a lot of people here, and a lot of profit could be made. At least they gave them a chance to buy themselves out right? The thought didn’t warm her any closer to the idea though, and she moved on.
“The highest really?” Well that was a scary thought; did they want her to fail? And what if they did… What would they do with her dead body?
“A lot of us are here aren’t they? Stuck in this mess…” She really hoped no on went missing. They were going to have to do a body count, err body count wasn’t a good way to go about it. Perhaps a people count.
“Anything you have would help. I might go back to blackjack and finish up trying to get some coins. Maybe. I don’t know any more Pomelo, I’m so confused and tired and I really don’t want to be here.” Lorena sighed. “Is there anyone we should be speaking to about making a back up plan?”

There really were way too many of them stuck in that mess...but that was why they had to work together to get out of all as relatively unscathed as possible. They all probably each saw their share of horrors while there, but at the very least they'd be in one piece when they left. Mel could only nod along as Lorena voiced her worries and concerns, though she wasn't sure if trading of coins was allowed between players. She wrapped an arm around her friends and started to walk with her.
"I'm not sure what the rules are about the coins, but I'll go with you to find October if you'd like? I know he's determined to get everyone out, and I'm right behind him. He might have a plan by now, but I'm honestly not sure..."

“Okay, let’s do that.” Then she was going to have to go out of this mess and play some more blackjack or something.
