The moment she was back with the supply boxes Monica headed out to do - you guessed it - more work.

She wouldn't really call herself a workaholic. In fact, Monica Chavez was a pretty lazy girl, unless she was interested in the task at hand. And knocking corpses off an electric fence? It wasn't that interesting. Although sometimes it was painful.

For once when she strolled out into the yard, though, Monica could already see three bodies littering the fence. Like pigs for the slaughter, she thought in satisfaction.

Wait. They couldn't really be pigs for the slaughter if they were already dead. Uh. Ah. That didn't really make sense in any way, did it?

Well, who cared? Time to slam them off the fence.

Next? Oooh, that one was to the left. Monica marched over with cheer. The undying she'd just been chased down by was no longer in her mind. Even it would have trouble breaking through this fence, she thought proudly. She liked that! She jabbed the next corpse off cleanly, sending it sailing through the air like a football. That'd just been poked instead of thrown.

No one had ever said Monica was good at analogies. In fact, people generally universally agreed that she was terrible at them. This was probably why.
