The news about Rebecca was still trying to settle in her mind. There didn't seem to be many details coming from everyone who had made some sort of comment about it. No how, no where... there probably might not have been a why. That girl - Megan - didn't seem to want to talk more about it, was she above it all or something that she wouldn't spare anything else about someone's supposed death? There wasn't a body, how was she supposed to believe anything when she thought everything was some sort of theatrical spectacle?
How she was feeling about it, if it were true, was one thing she couldn't settle on. It wasn't like she knew the assistant, much less anyone for that matter - hell, she didn't really know Drew and Leiah and they were holding out in the Spencers all together. Lease couldn't find herself feeling sad, or grieve as she held onto the glass of liquid she had been handed. Maybe she was a little bitter, because honestly.. they (even though she didn't do like anything to help) had saved her from a bullet and then she gets supposedly eaten? That b***h.
They were the only thoughts she got to process really, as a loud explosion - followed by a few more - suddenly crackled outside. Lease immediately thought the worst. There had been grenades launched at them, not to mention the raid. The sounds she was hearing weren't too off from those just now.
This time, though, she ran outside with a few of the others and noticed they weren't bombs at all but fireworks. Glorious fun fireworks in the sky.
Without a moment to lose, Lease was making her way towards the sounds she heard with a few of the others that had lagged behind. There was hope that this place - a casino, apparently - would be so much better than being held inside a mall.
It had real working electricity that wasn't only concentrated in an arcade!

Being only sixteen tears old, Lease could say she had never been to a casino before. She had seen them on television and in movies, had seen how they looked and had a vague notion how they sounded. To say the least, stepping inside got her a little overwhelmed.
Someone was greeting her and attempting to hand her a drink. Only on their very last words did she realize that the guy was trying something. Her internet mind kicked in an instantly turned to feeling insulted, that he was not only trying something but trying something, especially with a sweet offer in the form of liquid. Lease leered at him under the cloak of her fringe and didn't raise a hand to take the drink - though, it had been tempting despite having already had something back in the bar. He didn't seem to press the matter and instead tried to hand her something else. What was this guy's deal? With his nice suit and smile. Like he was actually trying to be nice.
Looking down at his hands, she then noticed the bucket filled with coins. Oh. Wait, wasn't she underage. Her narrowed eyes raised slightly, uncertain if this was another trick or not as she snatched them out of his hands. No one came to take her away, in fact the guy left her to her own devices and contemplation of what she was actually going to do.
Slots were tempting, she knew how those works but that was too baseline. She needed something like legit or something. Lease walked through the casino floor, her head turning this way and that in search of a game that would seem awesome to play for her first ever trip inside one of these places.
In the end, she settled on blackjack and put down some chips at the nearest table. The dealer threw her two cards. A fifteen. Now, having limited knowledge of this game, she was sure that she was supposed to get to 21 but before she could even ask for another card to attempt to get her score up, she was handed five tokens.
Well, okay then. "Cool."

How long she had stayed there at the black jack table couldn't have been very long. It hadn't even seemed that long since she only got one hand in. But all of a sudden Lease felt everything start to spin. No one commented on her current state, as her head began to lull before it completely fell forwards and slammed into the table top.
She awoke sometime later, bound to a chair in complete darkness. It could have been her worse nightmare, been kidnapped by a sexual predator or something. This seemed like the scenario and she wanted to scream but the ropes were much too tight to do that, least look around. She squirmed and struggled as best she could, drowning out any possibility of hearing that there were others in the room.
But not the loud speaker.
Lease stilled and growled at the announcement and the sound of applause. So, this was just another sick and twisted plan to their already drawn out an elaborate plan? First claiming there were zombies, then shove everyone in secluded areas like prisoners, make them do tasks and now kidnap them in a casino and make them play in order to... buy themselves? It was disgusting what their government was doing.
And oh boy did she have questions and she shifted violently in her ropes in an attempt to ask them. They didn't seem to care. "...you don't have anything of value, we aren't obligated to give you anything in return!" They said, it wasn't like they even cared.
They just wanted her to choose between two people she had never met before. Instantly, Lease sided with the girl, it wasn't like she was going to give the boy the time of day or anything. And what would they do with him anyways? Just put him in that backroom to prove a point?
"Whats..." She managed to turn her head finally, managing to release the lower half of her face. "In there."
From the other chair, the girl she had saved was shaking her head. Screams could be heard behind her. More theatrics, Lease opened her mouth to ask again but the girl continued to shake, persistent that she didn't ask about it.
"Fine. Nevermind." She glared.
The girl was unbound as she was, but they were escorted in two different directions. Where she went, she didn't know and partly didn't care. Where Lease went... well, it seemed she was back to the casino.
And then fitted with a collar.
