She had noticed the skeeball game when she first entered the arcade but didn't think much of playing it at first; honestly, Lease figured the balls for the game would have vanished much like so many items in the mall itself. Looters could have taken it, those people that had put themselves in charge could have taken them like they had with so many items for their own amusement. But, to her surprise, after a few rounds of playing that zombie game, Lease realized that people were actually playing it.
And not with random objects they found or something. Like, legit skeeball - from what she remembered of the game, honestly she had never played it before since she never went to arcades or circuses or carnivals or anything like that.
This seemed like an actual chance to do it. She could go totally retro.
Lease approached one of the unoccupied lanes and tapped on the button on the side panel to release the balls.

They were a lot heavier than she imagined them to be, larger too. Lease tested the weight of them before she threw the first one down the lane. It bounced off the top bucket and then down into another one before it settled into the one marked '10'.
It wasn't '100' but at least it didn't land in the no points zone.

Even by her second toss, she hadn't figured out how to properly throw the ball (honestly, why she was expecting herself to know this was a mystery, it wasn't like she was well versed in sports or had the know how. The internet could only do so much).
The ball bounced once after gliding up the lane and landed once again in the 10 position.

Remembering that trying to think about these things didn't do too well when she was firing the gun, Lease just threw the ball. Sure, it bounced squarely in the middle of the lane but that bounce landed it into the '20' spot.

That had turned out to be a better tactic apparently. Lease attempted it the same but also this time just threw it harder. It didn't bounce but it skim the higher bucket before falling down one and landing into the '40'.

Intending to complete the feat once again, Lease let the ball go in her usual fashion. But accidentally put a little spin on it. Thankfully it didn't rickashay off the walls or anything but did something a little more awesome.
It skimmed the rim of the '30' bucket and sailed upward and hit the corner of the skeeball wall before it slammed into the '100' spot. If it weren't for her jaw hurting she would have whooped loudly. (Even though that just seemed childish, but hey, she hit the big bucket!)

A fluke like that couldn't be repeated, even she knew that. She could try with all her might but Lease just threw the ball how she had done it before. It was a little more comfortable and seemed a more tried and true method.
She threw one ball and managed to land in another '20' spot. Then threw another and landed in a '30'.

There were only two left, she realized. Was that too many or was that not enough for a round of skeeball? Lease wasn't exactly sure.
Hopefully she would be able to make them count.
Another in '30' and another '20'. The lights of the machine lit up in a frenzy, chaser to flashing and a little bit of a spiral. The dated screen flashed a few times before it showed her score of '280'. Not bad for a beginner.
