That electric fence around our perimeter is important for keeping the monsters out, so it's within our interest to keep it up. Sometimes the zombies get stuck on it. We'll want to dispose of those. You must write a minimum of 300 words in this quest to be able to claim any reward.
Step One:Finding electrified zombies Before anything else, you need to find where the bodies are. Start scouting along the perimeter to see what you can find.
Roll 1d4. This determines the amount of corpses you find along the fence.
Step Two: Removing the corpse Next is the real tricky part. Getting the zombies off the fence without frying yourself in the process. Hope you have some rubber gloves!
Roll 1d20 for every zombie you have found. You can do this in one or multiple posts. Up to you.
1. Critical fail! BZZZAAP! You feel a painful jolt of electricity before flying back and away from the fence in shock. There's a hint of smoking flesh in the air and the body also remains stuck to the fence. Take 10 damage. You may roll again to remove the body, however you cannot earn bonus bars if you happen to roll a 20 on the reroll. 2-10. You manage to pry the body off, getting a little zapped in the process. Take 2 damage. 11-19. You manage to pry the body off without any issue. 20. Critical success! Wow, that zombie was really two bodies stuck together! Character's name: Candice Wolf Character's faction: Prison Character's journal link:Journal Character's survival stats: Candice Wolf Go BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Short and stout corrections officer. Pixie-cut curly blonde hair and green eyes.
Candice was finding it more and more difficult to do much of anything after the all out bandit war, but she needed to keep moving, for sanity's sake and maybe for the sake of living another day. She didn't mind the idea of security work. That was sort of her job before anyways. It also felt good to be in the know about what was going on around the facility. Of course she wasn't so keen on the idea of moving electrified corpses. Nothing they had to do around the prison was particularly appealing so she just have to deal with it.
It was pretty easy to spot them, even at a distance she could pick out three corpses. Candice was not looking forward to the energy she'd need to move all of them. She was sluggish still and so she took her time approaching the first body.
20. Critical success! Wow, that zombie was really two bodies stuck together! Two for the price of one. +3 bars to your final tally
Despite the lightheadedness Candice set to work moving the heap of fried flesh. This particular body, or mass, was extremely heavy and still smoking. She set about trying to pry it loose with a wood branch she had found, hoping she wouldn't have to actually touch the fence or have to get close enough too. She worked through each hole for a while, slow and steady, and she could tell she was loosening thing. She couldn't really blame herself in her condition, where even moving this stick was a struggle, but she didn't notice that the mass was actually two separate infected. Apparently they had fused together in the electric shock. She didn't think that it could have been more disgusting but finding melded together blackened flesh was top list right now. She made a disgusted face and left to find the other bodies she had seen.

The seconded one must have charged at the fence because it's body was very stuck to the fence, Candice tried her stick method but even that was not doing much. Finally, her patience spent dislodging the first spliced two and now this guy, she just dropped the branch and used her hands. A shock shot through her body as the corpse fell back from the fence. She crouched to the ground and steadied her dizzy head. She just needed to rest a bit.

It was at least ten minutes later before she got up to find the third body she had seen. Candice had steadied herself and recovered some of her movement. The body hung onto the fence by only its two arms. It would be easy enough to remove. She kicked at the hands with her boots till it fell back. The rubber soles helped keep her safe from further shock. Now she could rest inside. She had managed the job with very little issues, surprisingly.
It was a disgusting job, though mildly satisfying to find the undead stopped and frying, but somebody had to do it. It really could be worse, like actually going outside the gate to fight them off or something. As far a security went knocking off corpses seemed pretty light. At least in the current situation. The smell of burnt flesh seemed to linger around the wall, even when something was't actually burning.
Right now though she saw a lifeless hunk of charred flesh and another one that might be twitching. From life or electricity Candice wasn't sure. She made her way to the clearly baked one first. Maybe the other one would stop moving by then.

While she was feeling better than she had been, it was still hard to do much of anything. She found if she took her time and didn't strain herself she could resist the dizzy spells. It seemed thought that this thing was baked on and half oozed between the fence links. It reminded her of the twin zombie pile she had found yesterday, and upon closer inspection was two bodies. It took her a long time and many many kicks to get them off, but she did it with out so much as a jolt to herself. She was tired yeah, but unharmed. Candice wondered if they often traveled together, the basic human need for companionship or even just knowing power in numbers was there. Or if they both stupidly walked into the fence together?

After a quick stop to catch her breath Candice found the second, well third, body. It was really just leaning against the fence, and still twitched. She was hesitant to approach it but she needed to get it off. She started with careful tentative kicks. When it didn't react, she applied more force. It didn't take much for the body to fall back and slump, as much as it could, onto the ground. She wiped the sweat from her face and a started back to the prison to report her accomplishment!
After being stuck in the gaudy sketch casino with it's flesh eating occupants, Candice couldn't be happier to be working electrified zombie removal. At least they weren't moving or trying to auction off her body to be consumed. Candice strutted out and around the perimeter, noting any bodies stuck to the fence.
She passed two in her rounds. That was the lightest she'd seen. Maybe they should try and shoot off fireworks and get rid of em for good, seemed to work for the casino. She backtracked to the nearest smoldering body.

This might have been the most disgusting one she had seen, it's skin was turned to a sort of black jelly and it had oozed forward between the fence links. Worse maybe then the conjoined by electricity undead. It also didn't want to come loose. She kicked and kicked at it with her rubber-soled boots but to no effect. Finally she resorted to using her hands, and electrocuting herself. Not terribly bad, but it wasn't pleasant. It was fairly impossible not to touch the fence when using your hands. She needed to find some rubber gloves, it would make this whole job way easier. She did finally successfully push the body back and off the fence. She sent a lingering glare toward the blackened mess of a thing.

It was most undoubtedly overconfidence on her part. Or maybe just bad luck. She'd been able to free herself from the doomed casino and lived through an all out battle, maybe it was fate testing her a little, but these zombies were stuck. She was forced to use her hands again, as the kicking did no amount of visible effect. She tried not to touch the fence, but was clenching her jaw waiting for it. She knew she'd shock herself, so when it came, and it came, she was waiting. It didn't hurt any less. She let out a frustrated cry and tried again, finally getting this body loose too. She gave it a couple final kicks and the the body also fell back. She had to kick at some stuck on bits for a while to clear the rest of him away.
This is what she got for being in a good mood, a bad day. Though had any of her days since the outbreak been good?
Was it sad that Candice was getting used to the horrific scenario they seemed to all be in? There was absolutely nothing beautiful left outside, the sky grey and haunting. The scenery? An electrified metal fence with hunks of smoked undead stuck to it. Yet she was almost happy to be walking the fence-line. She supposed it was just being outside the prison that helped. Or even the ability to leave. Freedom was a dwindling thing.
And those blistered, blackened undead were scarce today too. Candice only found one. Her job would be less difficult than the previous days, hopefully. She did not like the idea of being electrocute again.
11-19. You manage to pry the body off without any issue.
Candice approached the smoldering body, skin black and cracking. If that happened to her, she hoped she'd walk into an electrified fence. If? It was probably more like when. The messages from the radio were bleak, and the more she traveled the decimated city the more she doubted their survival. A cannibal casino was enough to crush anyone's faith. Candice shuddered at the fresh memories of that place. So help her she never wanted to step a foot inside a casino again.
She still had the body to deal with though. She tested the body with her foot, pushing at the fried flesh. That part was never not disgusting, The were less horrifying twitching against the fence though. She sighed and stretched a bit. This guy wasn't stuck too bad, she could probably work it off with her foot. Candice started to kick at the body. It only took a couple good ones till the body came loose. It fell back, parts of it crumbling to black ash.
Black ash was everywhere. How sad she was used to it. It would be better to help how she could till her time was up. Candice would not go down without a fight, despite the hopelessness.
At the very least, she could make her way towards a promotion, but it didn't seem as important as it had. The cannibals were still haunting her. These people choose to eat others, even the undead hand an excuse. Those guys, they choose to consume others, to kill them, to make a game of it. It was disgusting. As if to rub in the idea of consuming flesh even further, she found a large number of seared bodies, cooked well done.
It was a wonder she kept any of her food down anymore. There was work to be done though. Always work. Distraction was her key to survival. As was lying to herself, but that was getting more and more difficult everyday.
11-19. You manage to pry the body off without any issue.
Candice was beginning to enjoy kicking the scorched bodies form the fence, was a sort of morbid way of blowing off steam. She found though, with time, she was more scared of people than the undead corpses shambling around. She was sure her fear would be renewed once she came face to face with one, but it had been a few days now.
Despite her musings, she got to work and kicked off the first body she had found with no trouble at all.

When she had located the second one she was feeling better. Pushing back thoughts of death and cannibals, she just focused on the work. Someone had to removed the ashy corpses. She set upon like she had the previous, but it was stuck on more than the other. She increased the weight behind her kicks and ended up falling forward and getting zapped by the fence. She got the body off at least.

A few days ago, this had been a laborious task for the former C.O. It was actually kind off amazing if you thought about how quickly she had recovered. She hadn't even had any scars. And others had recovered from injuries much worse than hers. Amazing, but oddly eerie. Why would that be?
Some things, she thought, you better off not knowing. Besides her healing was welcome. Candice kicked off the body with little effort.

The last body was slumped forward into the fence and most undoubtedly stuck more for it. She'd been doing these perimeter fence clean-ups a while now, the routine setting in. Candice knew how stuck her bodies were. She hadn't seen those weird fused twin corpses in a while though.
She had to work at the corpse. After a while she gave in and briefly used her hand to push back a particularly troublesome part, maybe a shoulder. Of course she zapped herself again. That never got any easier, it still hurt the same! Candice had finished, at the very least.
