Warhol hadn't meant to fight tonight, she really hadn't; she'd promised her sister she'd be home by ten, and she'd just meant to do a little energy draining today, take a starseed or two, the usual. Drug dealers, bullies, people who attacked those who couldn't fight back; those were her targets, usually, the scum of the earth. And there were always older teens who might hit on her -- easy prey for the Negaverse. Some behavior couldn't be corrected. Being a teenage girl did have some benefits; people took less notice of you! And being noticed would ruin everything too fast to see.

But the aura was bright and painful, halfway like a spotlight, and undeniably Order. Order was the enemy -- she could always use another starseed to look at, another target to join the right side: and on the opposite side of the scale, if this went too far, then there'd be one less terrorist in Destiny City.

Two blocks away.

One block away.

When the Squire came into sight, Warhol had already intoned her magic quietly, tossing the orb up and down. She didn't say anything -- Hyperborea would attack first, maybe, or maybe they'd close quarters; whatever happened, if the magic worked well (she hadn't quite used the new one yet, not in combat), then it'd all be good. She was good! She'd be good. It'd all work out, hopefully.

Sorry it took me so long!

Magic description
Warhol Mood Refraction!
Action: Sailor Warhol crosses her hands over her chest, creating an approximately tennis-ball-sized ball of colorful energy that falls into her hands: this ball, as opposed to the one of Mood Reflection, has a secondary stripe of white. She then throws it at an enemy.
Effect: If this attack connects, it temporarily reverses the enemy's primary emotion for twenty seconds; i.e., bravery to cowardice. Unlike Warhol Mood Reversal, this attack cannot be shaken off prior to the natural timeout, even if the enemy realizes their emotions have been affected.
Limitations: This attack can be used twice per battle, but Sailor Warhol requires a few seconds of concentration to summon the orb. If it fails to hit an entity, it will dissolve into an iridescent glitter upon contact with anything.

Hyperborea was about to end her patrol, she had school in the morning and she needed to get back to the dorms. She had thought it was going to be a night without any fighting. But fate apparently disagreed with her.

She felt a chaos aura as she was nearing Crystal Academy. A super corrupt from the feel of it. She knew she had to investigate it.

She eventually found the owner of the aura, a girl who couldn't have been much older than Hyperborea herself. She had some kind of ball of magic in her hand.

Hyperborea summoned her bow and pulled back the string creating the arrow of starlight, ready to match the senshi magic for magic. However the girl didn't fire her magic she just kept tossing the orb up and down. Maybe she's just being on guard, she must have felt my aura approaching. Maybe she doesn't want to battle. She thought.

She relaxed her bow's string letting the arrow disappear. She caustiously walked towards the girl. "We don't have to fight you know. I'm not looking to hurt you unless your trying to hurt others." She said to the unnamed senshi.

The girl looked young, was Warhol's first thought; almost half a foot shorter than her, too. Nothing more than a girl. (Not that Warhol was, either; but at least she was over five foot. She had that going for her, and the boots added about an inch...) What was she doing out patrolling? White Mooners didn't do energy drains, didn't take starseeds; there was no need for a girl to be out like this.

But she was out anyways. Then again, so was Warhol.

"I'm not aiming to hurt anyone," she said cautiously, stopping the tossing of the orb and instead holding it close, taking a small step closer to Hyperborea. She did want to hurt the Squire, wanted to rip out her soul and tear; but there was nothing wrong with a white lie, was there? Nothing wrong with making an enemy, the enemy, let down her guard. "I don't want to fight, okay...?" Another small step, and another; trying to get into grabbing range without being obvious about it, clenching the magic so white light floated out from between her fingers.

Hyperborea watched the girl approach her, cautiously step by step. She noticed the subtle movements of her hand, inching upwards towards Hyperborea's chest. She was aiming for Hyperborea's starseed. Most people probably wouldn't have picked up on it, had Hyperborea not been on guard from the last two times she'd had her starseed pulled she probably wouldn't have noticed. But she did.

She allowed the girl to get close enough to grab before her demeanor changed. "You know I don't like it when girls get grabby on the first date." She said as she grabbed the girl's wrist and jerked her forward to knock her off balance. She wrapped her free arm under the girl's armpit and turned her back to her bending down. She used her leverage to throw the girl over her shoulder. She didn't bother trying to control the throw, just put her full power behind it.

Had the girl just been draining energy Hyperborea would have shown her some mercy. If she had even just outright attacked Hyperborea with her magic, she would have gone a bit easy on her. But to Hyperborea trying to pull a starseed was one of the worst crimes a negaverse agent could commit, right behind creating a youma and forcibly corrupting a senshi or knight. Hyperborea would make sure this girl learned the price of stealing souls and that she would regret her decisions tonight.

Hyperborea activated her aspect, allowing herself to be enveloped by the silver starlight sheen of cosmos.

Cosmos Aspect
The silvery sheen of starlight covers the Knights of the Cosmos, and their touch is just as heavenly. It's warm and pleasant to most, but acidic and painful to corrupted beings. For the followers of Chaos, physical contact with one of these Knights feels like a mild chemical burn: although it does little in the way of damage, it's hard to tolerate it.

The throw caught Warhol off guard -- she'd been trained, a little, but nothing so official as actual martial arts -- and hitting the ground hurt, it jarred, and she let loose a whine of pain and slapped the magical orb into Hyperborea's bare forearm. That'd do something, that'd help, that'd work -- it'd work -- and then she felt like her skin was corroding, and she tried to kick the Squire in the leg, trying to push off and squirm away.

"This isn't a date! I'm not interested in girls!" She reached out, trying to get through the sting to grab Hyperborea's ankle and pull, yank the other girl off balance; she was wearing gloves, the burn couldn't be felt too bad through them. If her magic took effect, then she could work from there; it would help to have it be unshakeable, after all.

When the girl managed to slap the unknown magical orb into her forearm she felt the hatred and anger she had been feeling uptil then melt away, to be replaced with a burning love for the girl.

Hyperborea regretted throwing the girl like that now. "Je suis désolé! I shouldn't have done that, what is wrong with me! You're not hurt are you?" Hyperborea asked with concern in her voice, ignoring the fact that the girl tried to kick her leg, a useless effort anyways with her shin guards.

At the other girl's comment Hyperborea felt tears welling up in her eyes. "Please don't say that! I love you! Just give me a chance, I'll protect you and love you and be there for you!" She said as she tackled the other girl into a strong hug. Hyperborea had completely forgotten that she still had her aspect active in her love for the corrupted senshi.

It worked, almost; Warhol's face went to a relieved smile when Hyperborea worried about her, but then everything promptly went to hell when she was tackled. Everywhere Hyperborea touched her with bare skin, she burned, she stung; this wasn't worth a starseed for -- all she wanted to do was to stop hurting. The gloves helped, maybe, but not enough; her arms tingled in a distinctly uncomfortable way.

So Warhol did the only thing she could really think of, attempting to push the Squire off with her arms and playing up the pain, a little. "Y-you're hurting me! Get off!" An elbow to the neck, maybe, would work for freeing her limbs from her attacker: although a tackling hug was a strange parody of an attack.

Goddamn magic.

Daekie

When Warhol said she was hurting her the squire immediately released her grip and backed away. But then her original emotions returned as the effects of the corrupted senshi's magic wore off.

She stood up with a disgusted look on her face. Magic that played with emotions. What a twisted ability. She thought.

"I did nothing to you. That was the universe rejecting you. The stars are not kind to those with chaos in their hearts. And the starlight of Cosmos only burns those under evil's sway, to those who live in light it offers comfort and warmth." She said feeling justified in her preaching. Clearly this girl wasn't confused, she had drunk the negaverse's kool aid.

"Repent for the crime of stealing souls! It is not too late to return to the light, you'll be forgiven for past crimes. But if you refuse I shall be your enemy." She said as her starlight sheen glittered around her. She felt bad-a**, like the hero in a fantasy novel facing down a person misguided and corrupted and offering them one last chance of redemption.

"I used to be one of you," Warhol spit, pushing herself off the ground. She still hurt, although that was mostly from the throw; who greeted an enemy with a throw, anyway? How dare this girl preach to her, when she had no clue what was truly going on? All high-and-mighty on her silver starlight throne. "I killed for you! I thought I was doing the right thing, because that's what I was told to do!"

It wasn't all true -- Warhol didn't remember anything of her powered history. But what she'd heard about herself, what she could piece together, implied what she did say was correct.

"I fight for Earth, unlike you," she snarled at Hyperborea, taking a step back. "You don't save anyone. You don't help anyone. I take people's starseeds when they're bad people!"

"And now you kill for them. Tell me just how is stealing energy and taking souls the right thing?!" She spat back.

"I don't know if you offered your self willingly or if you were corrupted forcefully but you should know chaos is always worse than the life you led before. Chaos corrupts everything. It will turn you into Metalia's puppet if you aren't already."

"You fight to control the Earth. I know those who truly protect Earth and none of them wear black." She snarled back. Her next words hit a particular sore spot for Hyperborea, you don't save anyone. "The knights and senshi have saved countless lives that your kind put in peril." She said taking a step towards the senshi. "You think being a bad person justifies stealing their soul. You have taken their chance at a rebirth and destroyed it for all time. And what of my soul what crime did I commit to make you want to steal the spark of life from my body. I was talking to you, I had laid down my arms." She accused the other girl, she made sure to put particular emphasis on the word soul rather than starseed.

"You're a monster and you just don't want to face it, you know!" Warhol hissed, face alight with rage. "Stay off of our planet. Stay off our world." Her eyes shut and she took a deep breath, and she took a step backwards -- and then Warhol disappeared with not even a sound, teleporting back to her own bedroom and powering down (not that Hyperborea would know, of course).

Her back hurt, she was tired, and mostly she wanted to go to sleep because she'd only gotten a little bit of energy out of that patrol -- patrolling together would bother people, waste their time, and she couldn't have that. There was no place for her to bother people.

And the Squire had been wrong.

Aurelius Ambrosius
sorry for short, but wrap on hyperborea's post?

"Better to be a monster than the one who makes them." She said with spite. She watched the girl disappear. Presumably retreating back home or to the rift or wherever.

Hyperborea walked back to Crystal. She was ready to go to sleep, the mood swing magic had drained her on an emotional level. She didn't like being harsh like that but the girl was clearly delusional and dangerous. Hyperborea had to protect people from negaversers like her. It was Hyperborea's job to save them and then if possible try to save the Senshi from herself.

And the Corrupted Super had been wrong.
