Scavenging was a little bit more Rajni's style than fighting the undying. She'd always been somewhat adverse to violence in any form, preferring to be a pair of healing hands than fighting.
Upon entering the office buildings, she was unsurprised to see that it had been converted into a makeshift bunker. When s**t had hit the fan, most people hadn't been fortunate enough to be in their homes; they'd had to make due with where they were.
So she was equally unsurprised to see a cooler filled with empty alcohol bottles. A lot of people (herself included) had turned to vice in the impending doom of the apocalypse.
Noise startled her into pausing, ducking behind one of the cubicle. She heard it, the unearthly kind of hissing that rattled your bones and wrapped itself around your ears in a sickly way.
Undying.
She had no weapon beyond her candlestick, and even that wasn't going to be a match for this thing. It was hulking, sliding along the walls and getting its blackish streaks everywhere. She waited until it was distracted eating a corpse to move on from her location. Rats on her way out, gross, but overall? There wasn't much going on.
She reported as much to the harbinger, trying not to look like she'd failed. She couldn't imagine how telling them "I found an empty building" would help the apartments in this struggle.
