Ingrid thought she preferred cleaning to security duty. At the very least, it was quiet, and she didn't have to see the betrayed looks on peoples' faces when she refused them entry.

Heading to the tenth floor with her cleaning supplies, Ingrid let herself into the apartment she had been assigned to clean. It was another unoccupied one, and she suspected that nobody had been here at all for the past month.

She started in the kitchen this time, because it was usually the worst. As she had expected, the food there had decayed over the past month. The smell of rotting milk had her choking, and she pulled her goggles down over her eyes and tried not to breathe too much as she poured all the liquids down the sink.

Compared to the kitchen, the rest of the apartment was easy. She emptied the trash bins and then did her usual electronics check, removing batteries from TV remotes. What she was really hoping for was a 3DS or a laptop to steal that still had any charge left at all, but she didn't find either.
Gathering her cleaning supplies up, Ingrid left the apartment, locking it up behind her and heading to put her supplies away and turn in her key and the batteries she had found.
