Hello everyone! Your friendly neighborhood Doc here! Shroomy and I are very excited to be your Plot Committee Head/Secondary this year. As you may or may not know, the theme this year is End of the World/Apocalypse. Our job as Plot Committee is to design a story based around the theme itself, and to work with each room head to make sure the plot flows with each room's individual happenings.
If you would like to join us in our endeavor, please feel free to do so! We encourage all guild members to provide suggestions, even if you do not want to be a committee member. We want this year to be one of the best yet, and the only way that can happen is with the combined efforts of all involved.
This thread will be dedicated to suggestions. If you have ideas that you would like to send our way, post them here and we will take them into consideration!

Good luck with the committee both of ya. heart
Here’s what of thought of so far…
1. Each room is a different world and they are ending at the same time(pure coincidence). Each room decides to either prevent, spread, survive them or a combination of all of them depending on their own plots. For crossovers certain rooms will have high enough technology to travel to world to world for what ever reasons.
2. Rooms are different worlds that are watched over by a powerful unseen council of beings. The beings decided to play a game by causing, manipulating, or influencing, certain elements/people for those worlds to end and/or caused them to already end. They then place bets or watch the outcomes on each world on what they would do to either prevent, spread, survive, or a combination. Again, certain rooms will have high enough technology to travel for crossovers.
3. Guests are on dimensional tourist attraction (travel on ship, train,or something else) where they visit different worlds that are ending or already end. Their (sadistic and crazy) tour guide introduce and explain the worlds while giving the tourist/guest a chance to experience them. They can watch or join the hosts with either preventing, spreading, surviving, or combination. Crossovers can happen.

Again, certain rooms will have high enough technology to travel for crossovers. This might actually go with something Shroomy and I were discussing! We were thinking maybe there were pieces of an artifact/magical item hidden in each room, or held by someone, and all worlds/rooms have to find the pieces and put them together in order to stop the worlds from ending. If we incorporate your idea, the pieces could be put there by the members of the council. The bets could be placed on who finds their piece the quickest, who finds it last, will they find them all, etc. And the crossovers could involve some of the higher tech civilizations using their tech to help other rooms find their pieces. Some pieces could be in the hands of an evil-doer, some could be in hard to find places. The possibilities are endless! Tagging Shroomy for her onion.

Reminds me of the song 'Game of Life' ya know? Making bets? I mean, what if the bets dealt with how fast the rooms could find their artifact, and their times deciding how far the timeline will be reversed before the apocalypse for each room. The third one could be really epic too. The sadistic tour guide sounds AMAZING, and I love that the guests have a say in how the room will turn out. It could also operate with one room being introduced at a time with different role-players to be more flexible to schedule, with the previous room's hosts joining in for the ride?

I was kinda thinking a ton of AUs. Like having a way of keeping them together is great. But if we have some sort of quest, make sure it's super clear to everyone cause otherwise we get chaos and people not knowing what's happening.
Now for a loop! What if we left the outcome entirely up to what happens? If the pieces are all found, it's because the guests helped us. If not, the world ends. Encourage guest involvement! Yeah.

I like three too.
The one room being introduce at a time would be something new but I think that will just put more pressure on the rooms going first and procrastination for those shown later on. It could work out though depending on everyone able to get things done on time.
I could be wrong but I think there were already two balls with the collect the pieces concept. Maybe an older member can confirm this and if it's okay to use that again if it was already done. The pieces idea would be fun for guest though.
Also, I agree with Violet that we leave the outcome of the rooms au worlds to whatever happens (the hosts?)because maybe not everyone wants to save their worlds from ending plus we don't know what type of end of the world concept everyone is doing. (Zombies, nuclear countdown, savage wasteland, viral, etc)

Leaving the outcome to the guests? Ooo sounds fun! I'm thinking it'll be chaotic, but fuuuun. If not collecting the pieces, why not throw in a mystery in there and make it so the evil dudes are supposed to be found out instead, and exiled from the dimensions to wander the AUs forever?

I think each room should be a different type of end of world scenario (Zombies, natural disasters, extraterrestrial, Nuclear fallout and Planet Collision or something like that.

I'm just going to type this all out as I think about it...
How about adding the a reality show concept into it?
"It's time for everyone's new favorite TV show for the season!
It's The End Of The World! (echo)
Watch as different world residents cause, survive, spread, and or prevent the ends of their worlds.
On the new show you can join the fun as you go to different worlds and experience with them the fun...or terrors of their worlds. No one knows what will happen but that's what makes it fun...or terrifying...or both!
Don't miss the exciting new show here on channel Blah. "
We can have it as the show gets cancelled after 4 days(end of the ball)lol.
I'm thinking what if we let room hosts decided what they want happen to their rooms. For those who want to save them it'll let loose some creativity for them to come up with solutions for their ending worlds.
Annual ball can dress up as a dimensional TV host introducing the show or something. The rooms are different worlds with their own end of the world concepts. We can have the news room as a a dimensional news station reporting on what's happening in each world. Floaters can be television crew filming stuff. The neutral OOC room can be a underground bunker.( Google luxury underground bunkers)
If we end up having a ball villain you can just have the host set some incidents up in each room or be the main cause of the worlds ending just so he can have a tv show.

TheMainCharacter1 How about adding the a reality show concept into it? That's actually a really sick idea! The AB account could make appearances in each room every day, and announce variables he has added to the "game" (ex. an earthquake is coming, or he has released a poison gas somewhere) as the room hosts/co-hosts/guests are dealing with the events already occurring.

Maybe make each room a town of Gaia? (are there even four towns still?) and each room have a different apocalypse?

Mousse Chocolat Maybe make each room a town of Gaia? (are there even four towns still?) and each room have a different apocalypse? this is a cool Idea. Like the Aekea Room could have something to do with Robots and AI units talking over and causing the end of the world. Durem could be Zombie, Barton could be space invasion and Gambino Island could be natural disasters. Or something like that. just tossing the ideas out that came to mind with this type of theme.

Exactly. And everything would make sense. Plus, half the work (setting, backstory) would already be done.
