Laundry duty. He'd been put on laundry duty. Well, everyone had to help out with it at some point, but he could only believe this was the result of a few misfires on the paintball court. Why did he think this? Surely it couldn't be the cluster of pink paint splats decorating a few of the shirts.
Dumping the load in, he sighed to himself and got to work on it. If it had to be done, it had to be done. At least this was an easy enough thing to work on. He couldn't very well mess this up, could he?
Daryn pulled open a box and grabbed the detergent. How much was he even supposed to use? Liquid wasn't too bad to use, at least. Unscrewing the cup, he started pouring. He tried to keep it at the base line, just the right... he overshot it. Not by much. It shouldn't matter, anyway, right?
Bleach, now. Bleach for the blood stains... and... paintballs. Ugh, why did he have to get so damn jumpy on the court? He couldn't very well do much with that, though. It had been a long while since he'd done anything with a gun. His place was behind the desk, staring at the computer screen.
Lost in thought, he dumped half the bottle in. Damn. At least the clothes were mostly white. He wouldn't have to worry much about stains or anything. Those would be gone. Thankfully.
Really? He was so incompetent, he couldn't even manage to keep the laundry done right. No, he had to make sure this was done right. Even if he was alright in a scrap, he had to be sure he could keep himself in a good view. Taking the bottle of fabric softener, he was completely meticulous with it, staring at it as he poured. This had to be perfect... and he got it.
Breathing a sigh of relief, he started the load. At least he got this much right.
