She'd gotten all fixed up, and now it was time to try her hand at the paintball again. Monica stretched carefully before beginning: she wanted to be able to concentrate, after all. She dusted her hands off carefully before eying the targets. Someone ahead of her was using the gun, so of course she had to wait her turn...but she had to admit she was fidgeting at little.
At least Corgi wasn't watching. He couldn't call her hypocritical for nagging him about, well, the same thing all the time.

"Good job!" Monica called, cheerful, to the person ahead of her in line. She took her place with enthusiasm. Paintball was probably the best sort of stress relief you could get here - forget about fight club! If only there was some sort of go kart racing...
Although Mocha supposed that there wasn't much that was useful about go kart racing. But it would've been something she was good at, which would've been pretty nice!
As it was she geared up quickly, taking the paintball gun from the person before her with a cheerful nod. "I can totally do this," she said. Then she took aim, and hit the first cardboard cutout to come up. Which was a human. Whoops...
That was okay! She could keep going. That was the good thing about this exercise: it wasn't an isolated incident. She pulled her gun up and aimed, waiting carefully for something to pop up - green! Green, green, green - she fired, watching her paint smack the cutout with a vicious sense of satisfaction. She'd done it! Wait...that was a green dress. On a busty, redheaded, human woman. Whoops...it'd been a fabulous green dress before she'd gotten her paint all over it, too. Drat.
So sure, Monica was disappointed. Sue her. But that only made her more prepared - or at least more careful - for the next cutout, which was recognizably human (and very suave) from the get go. "You're getting a pass from me!" she told it, as though it'd respond.
She had to wait for it to go down, though, and it did in a quick second. For some reason there was a pause before the next one popped up, but that was okay. It was gonna be human again, right? Nope. It was a zombie - and it was only the fact that Monica's finger was already on her paintball gun that let her hit it at all. Okay, this was called progress.
She winked mischievously at the machine, which dutifully flipped a human up at her. She was prepared enough to avoid shooting it this time, though, even aiming her gun a little off so that the paint wouldn't hit even if her trigger finger got a little happy. Take that. Caution: Monica totally had it (no she didn't).
Something red and green (but not Christmassy) popped up next, and Monica aimed and shot dutifully. Then the machine stopped. Monica tilted her head, confused. She'd only just gotten into it, too!
...wait. That'd been six. It was the next person's turn. Whoops. She turned and waved at them, putting her own equipment away and offering a lazy salute.
[hit human, hit human, no hit human, hit zombie, hit -> no hit human, hit zombie]
