warm up
Vayne thought about it a moment. Just jumping into a work out was never a good thing. He looked around at the machinery in the room and noticed that not much of it was good for really getting a stretch. He locked his arms behind his back and started to stretch working his muscles and heating them up. He had never had a surplus of patience when it came to actually getting a nice warm up so his overall job was fairly weak. He ran in place for a bit, and stretched his legs, making sure at least to do good enough to not pull his muscles. That would really defeat the purpose of doing this.
When he was sure his heart was beating nicely and he felt ready to get into the better stuff he jogged over to the actual equipment, looking it over carefully before making his choice.
Okay, time to start with the treadmill, he climbed on and started to jog, working well enough to make sure his heart was really going. The good thing was this was a treadmill that had a variable speed to let him really feel like he was going up and down hills. When he felt it nicely in his calves he moved to the weights.
Heh, fun! He worked lifting pretty much his own weight, counting off the reps in his mind, letting it go blank to most of what was going on around him. He didn't need to know what anyone else was doing, he just needed to feel himself in the zone. He kept working until he could feel a small tremor starting in his muscles then broke off.
Yes a lovely job he could feel it humming inside of him. He let himself get up slowly, and toweled off. It felt so nice to do a good job and actually made him feel a lot more at peace with what was going around.

Thread being used again.
Warm up:
Vayne jogged into the room looking around to see if anyone else was around before going into his stretches again. He arched his back and started to move into something that looked more like a kata than a stretching session. He arched and air kicked in slow motion, letting himself just enjoy the feeling of moving.
He smiled and let himself just move. It was great. He was starting to wonder if there was any reason to do anything other than just these stretches when he slowly remembered that there were deadly things out there. If he didn't stay in shape he was likely to earn a new one. One that made him a lot more squishy and dead. Yeah best to move on to the actual work out.
work out: Vayne looked again at the treadmill and decided that it was a best way to get started again. It didn't hurt the muscles too badly, didn't over heat him and was just really user friendly. He climbed on and set it for an auto work out where it decided how he was going to move and what pace he was going to keep at. It was a nice smooth run this time, no challenge and really nothing to write home about. (Not that there were homes to write to anymore).
When he was done he moved to something he hadn't tried before. It was a nice pull up bar that was anchored into the wall. Grabbing onto it he did a nice long set of pull ups and chin ups before deciding he was here long enough. He didn't feel that he had put his all into it, but there were other things to be done and he didn't really have the need to stay in this room for hours.
Tossing his towel over his shoulder he headed to the showers. sweatdrop Hopefully they were empty.

Vayne's punk style shows just how much he disdains mainstream, and his attitude fully reflects all of that being rather cold. He ignores anything that he doesn't like and has snide comments ready. He is very attentive though, taking notes in his mind and paying attention to details that most would care very little for.

September 20th!
Warm up!
This was a bad day for warming up for Vayne. He had walked into the room wanting to just get things done, he had just done the security checks and he was feeling tense and angry and a little worried as well. He started running in place, his mind kind of zoning out as he thought of all those zombies out there that had used to be humans. They had all had lives, they had all had families and now they were little more than just shambling piles of infected meat.
The thought kind of made him even more mad than anything else. Those people did not need to be like this, but it was just some kind of weird sick infection that had caused it. Who the hell was the one that had started it? Nothing starts with nothing, there is a reason for things to start. Was there anything else he could do? No nothing other than what he had doing.
His mind was locked in those thoughts and he hadn't realized he was running faster, he was tiring himself out for no reason other than wanting to outrun the upset.
When he finally came back to himself he bent over panting. Now he had to really work out?
He was tired. He looked around and felt his stomach drop, he didn't want to run more, he didn't want to do pull ups, what did that leave? Leg presses? He groaned and staggered over to the equipment. Sitting down he started to push on the weight at the bottom with his legs, his else closing again as he once more dwelled on what was going on outside. He just wanted to live a good life, why the hell did this all happen?
The blond tossed his head back and put all his anger into the work out, muscles straining, eyes squeezed shut and fists clenched on his legs. He just wanted to be normal damn it! He was so tired though, and he wasn't able to even keep this up for long. He gave up after a time, thinking there was no way he was going to be able to keep working out today, he just needed to find a quite place to rest and get his head on straight. He wouldn't live very long the way he was thinking.
Another day, another trek to the gym. He had missed doing his work out the day before, and that left him feeling a little empty inside. Strange how things work like that. He would have expected to feel a bit better. Less stress of having to DO something, even if he didn't want to. Instead he felt as though he was missing something important.
Looks like the prison was right, structure was important. Sighing he headed inside the room and started doing his stretches, making sure not to concentrate too deeply on anything. The last thing he needed was to zone out and over work himself like he had before. Paying attention to how long he worked, he made sure just to get his body warmed up, letting a light sweat form before he moved on to the next thing.

Work out
Next thing indeed. He really didn't feel too motivated to get on any of the equipment today. It all seemed rather dull and too much of a pain. What could he do though, he needed to get a good work out in and if he didn't do anything it would result in the same feeling from the day before. Walking around the room he decided that a good game of solo basketball would be fun.... no solo was dull he wanted to DO something not just dance around tossing a ball at a hoop. Plus the hoop was outside.
Running..... no he had done enough of that when he was out doing his security maintaining. Pull ups? No he had done way too many of those. What else was there? Free weights? Yeah that would do for now. He headed over to the weights and started doing curls letting the slow burn form. Once more he didn't want to stay too long though, there were other things to do, like trying to get better at that darned gun that he sucked so badly at using.
After half an hour he called it quits. Not the best work out but it would do.
