If there was anything she could do, it would to make the store she had selected as her personal little space to be a little more hospitable while she was being held captive in the mall. It was that, and maybe make it so no one could bother her about their stupid little ideas about the virus and what it was doing to those outside.
So, Lease, eventually, made it back to Spencers and began to work. Though it didn't seem to be as ransacked as a few of the other stores had been, it still had its share of mess. A lot of the clothing had been taken, a few of the shelves had been brought down and some of the plastic cabinets were destroyed. Mostly the really lewd and stuff that easily could trigger her had been kept. (Those she was going to throw in the back if she could stomach picking them up). But, first she needed a place to sleep. And behind the counter seemed like the best bet. Perfect amount of space and a small little barricade in itself with the cash register.
Efforts didn't go over too well. Should she pick another spot?

Did she want to attempt a different spot? Maybe over near the back so no one would see her, in order to bother her. There was a small little alcove, one of those that had a little more blacklight where they put up the stars. Lease decided to try there.
It was a little bit easier to manage. And she was able to get some inflatable items as well.

If there was one thing that Spencers did have, and now plenty of because of some of the looters who decided they desired odd items, they had lots of racks. Plastic ones, some metal ones and they were pretty decently sized to square around the front of the store.
It took some effort, it took a lot of pulling and even a little destruction of her own but eventually, Lease managed to situate a whole lot of them to bar the windows from any further wrong doings. Part of her wondered if she was doing this to go along with what they were telling her, or to make sure none of those crazy people she had spent a month with were going to get in and bothered her.
And hey, oh look! She had more floor space.

As much as she could push it in an attempt to test its sturdiness, Lease knew enough that she was not going to really try to topple her hard work over. That would just be insane.
She should get someone else to do it. The first person she saw, someone with the same stupid type of ears she did, she called them over. "HEY DUMBASS." Yup, that would work, "try and push this down!"
Clearly her choice of words was enough to entice them over and attempt to bring down her handywork. Lease took a small step backwards just in case but crossed her arms in a smug fashion as she watched them attempt to kick down her make shift barricade. They struggled, they fought and shook things. But it wouldn't budge (but by were they close).
"Hah, thought so. Now go away."
Problem solved. This was going to be awesome.

It was common knowledge that there was an IKEA in the mall and those were always ideal places to get cheap reliable furniture. But it was also such a place that had been put on the caution list. Honestly, she never knew why. Unless they wanted all the items for themselves, that is. Would be typical.
And she was going to blow caution to the wind now that some more of the stores were open. Was going to cross that line and head into the IKEA and look for something useful to use in her new little fort.

While rugs seemed like they could actually be a little handy in this situation - no one liked sleeping on bare floors and all, least of all in a Spencer's - it didn't seem like the ideal thing to grab right now.

Chairs either. Though having something to sit on would be kind of cool to have. But, she was sure there was already something in her store that could be prove useful. What she needed was like an actual bed.

But when she finally found the bedding section, she realized it would be just impossible for her to grab all the items and carry them back herself. Headboard, base, box. Mattress even! She didn't doubt herself as a woman but doubted herself as one single person. She would have to find something else. Maybe a cabinet?

If she wasn't going to grab herself a bed, the least she was going to do was grab herself a pillow. And since they were actually in the stupid maze thing that was IKEA, she was able to get one with no problem.

Lease found herself staring, puzzled at the signs of a few of the furniture she had come across. It was a little bit dark, so a little bit hard to read. But even if the store was still at full power, she was certain she wouldn't be able to pronounce what it said.

Finally getting to a big bulk of the cabinets, Lease found herself debating on this decision as she had with a few of the others. Was it worth it? Sure she could store stuff, but didn't Spencers have enough of this sort of thing? And really, what did she aim to keep? They were going to be finally released in about a week. Maybe it wouldn't be worth it.
