Rajni had been a nurse pre-outbreak, but that had never really been her "calling" so to speak. Actually she'd never felt any calling whatsoever. Rajni was an aimless sort, the kind to go wherever the money was. She didn't have passions or ambitions, only the goal of meeting rent and having enough to eat
Funny how priorities had changed. She was almost incredulous that anyone would ever charge rent with the state their world was in. Keeping discipline sure, but charging someone to live in a space? Unheard of with all the undying around.
But gathering items was something she'd proven good at in the past. Normally she opted to go out by herself; nobody to look after, nobody to potentially go infected on her. Just simple self preservation.
She scowled at the bag she was given (so ******** small), but said nothing to Zelda. Supplies were short and she didn't have the luxury to complain about bag size.

Stairs sucked d**k. Rajni longed for the days when the elevators still worked. She'd never realized what a blessing they were until they were gone. It was always too quiet without the gentle whir of the electricity, the dim lighting, the city nose. Now everything had a silent weariness laid over it.
She shoved her book into her pocket and headed out the door. The buildings nearby had already been picked clean in the first month. Now they had to go farther and farther to find the good s**t.
Rummaging through a house proved useful in the form of a package of batteries. Greed tinted her eyes the way they always did when she found something electronic. Seeing as the apartments were permanently dark, Rajni always felt inclined to keep rarities like batteries and hand-cranked flashlights.
Zelda would know though. Zelda always had a way of knowing. b*****d.

Upon seeing the cooler Rajni had actually been hopeful for some booze, a soda, anything. Seeing as food and water was up to the individual, finding something like a cooler stowed away in someone's living room was a blessing. Sometimes Rajni felt like an animal, only living on instinct and trying to find her next meal.
She really should've eliminated hope by now. The cooler had a tiny, tiny half-size water bottle in it. Well great, that was good for ... maybe half a meal?
Her bag was full anyways. It had been a s**t collection day- nothing new.Quote: You find a very small bottle of water, probably one of those ones they give people on planes.
