Enna had tried multiple times to try and not make it a habit in watching the small digital clock in the corner of the computerized register she used during her shift. It wasn't uncommon for her to be the last to close up at the end of the night. The store wasn't especially large and they only had registers to close up. Even with her co-worker having offered to stay, it wasn't like she had much power in saying 'sure, why not' to such an offer. Hours were few.
But now, with having dragged her hands down her face for, what had to be to twenty-billionth time, she wish she had that managerial power. There was still sweeping to do, money to count and... That was a strange way to walk? Enna wouldn't be one to voice out such a thing but she couldn't help the eyebrow raise at the sort of shambling motion she was witnessing of someone walking by the entrance of the shop.
Okay, time to close up. She had been hearing more and more disturbing rumors of people becoming violent and exhibiting several weird signs. Whatever it was, she didn't have time for it.
Enna swiftly rounded the counter she had been leaning on for some time with a short but thick chain that her and her co-workers used to lock up the store. She inserted the key on her key chain into the lock, unlocked it and encircled the chain around the door hands from inside. She still needed to count and she didn't fancy being out of a job.
The young woman jumped back, falling onto her backside after someone flattened their palm against her door. Wide cerulean eyes peered up at the person that had seemed to want to get in. But she wasn't entirely sure and didn't care all that much either. They were closed.
"Sorry! We're closed up!" She called back after getting to her feet and dusting herself off a bit with a scowl. Her words didn't seem to do much as they banged on the door, slowly but still enough to be annoying with the same blank look she had first noticed on their face. Enna gave a rather speculating gaze before grabbed the register shelves and went into the back. She did not trust this situation right now.
What continued to disturb her was that she was now hearing screams echoing through out the mall she was working in. After securing the shelves in the back, she peeked her head out for a moment to see that her 'friend' was gone but she was noticing there were more than the usual amount of people at such an hour. It didn't strike her as terrifying until she saw someone get tackled by several others. Yup. Nope.
Enna promptly shut the door to the shop's backdoor and hunkered down. There was no way she was dealing with that. Not without something to help her.
