Skinny, knobby, and 5'4, Heather is no beauty queen. Her brown hair barely brushes her shoulders and her violet eyes are often lost in thought or shine with distant insanity. She normally wears a long black dress that touches her ankles and a pendent with a small green stone encased with fake diamonds (a cheap machine necklace). She appears younger then she actually is.

Heather is from a large chinchilla ranch in Indiana that was run by her parents. When she turned 21 and still wasn't in college they demanded that she either get into a school or forget about living in their house with her loved chinchillas. Unable to get into college due to low marks and even lower funds, Heather applied at Feral Labs to join an experiment for 5000 dollars. Easy money and she'd be able to shove it in her parents face, which is a good feeling.

Mother
A hard working woman. Her mother is slightly heavy-set and is more then half Indian, making her have a dark completion. She is the owner of the Chinchilla ranch. Up to date they have at least 20 of the large rodents.
Relationship with her
Heather has the strongest relationship with her mother. Both share the strong love of animals that is so important to Heather. Her mother taught her about Chinchillas and started the strong obsession with them.
Father
More to himself, her father is very bright and very demanding. While he expects good grades from his daughter he never really enforced it.
Relationship with him
Not much of a relationship at all. Her father is either off at work or holed up in self seclusion.
Siblings
A younger sister, a know it all whom has good grades and always seems to be better then her sister. Truthfully she's jealous of Heather's creative side and adoration of animals, having never really grasped either herself.

She finds herself as the ugly duckling who won't change into a swan. She finds herself a failure at most of the things she tries and constantly downs on herself. Easily pushed into depression she has quick mood swings.

To be able to be with her animals all the time.

Personality wise she's spunky and very out-going. She talks a lot but once she finds something that interests her; she's all ears (otherwise you're talking to a wall).

She's creative. She thinks everything she does is a cause for failure but she loves to put things into decorative perspective. Give her a thing of cotton and a few birdhouses and she'll make a small town at Christmas time.

Her inability to accept change. Everything in her life is routine and she hates it when it changes. This makes it hard for her to go and find a job or college that she likes.

She often feels the need to exaggerate things to compensate for her failures. Even if she knows its not true she finds herself saying it. When someone challenges her about her stories she'll shy away or challenges back.

Toward herself she's a pessimist but toward others she's all optimist. She feels that nothing good can come from her but sees that other people are well greater. She encourages them to enhance their skill but always seems to have an underlying jealousy.

How character reacts in a crisis:
Heather's not very good in a crisis. She has a tendency to panic and call for help rather then actually do anything. If someone is dying in front of her she will attempt to do something but fear stops a logical answer to problems.
How character reacts to change:
Heather struggles and fights against change. She hates it with a passion because it takes away things she loves.
General
Favorite clothing :
Anything that fits. She likes baggy shirts but prefers pants that can hold themselves up without belts. Her clothes are generally tom-boyish. She does, however, adore black dresses. That will be what she wears when she first arrives on the island.
Jewelry and other accessories:
A green pendant surrounded by fake diamonds hanging on a golden chain. A gift from an old friend that suddenly moved away. Otherwise she doesn't see the point of jewelry unless it has sentimental value.

How does your Character get to/why was your character chosen for the Island?
The doctor gets hold of her application and hears about her 'laziness' toward getting a good education. Hating lazy people he recruits her to teach an important lesson. Would you rather be lazy or in extreme pain while turning into her once favorited animal?
What Animal(s)/Plant(s)/Dinosaur Serum do you want?: Chinchilla!
Describe your ideal 100% appearance: You may include Ref. Images. For her ideal 100% she'd have either the starting of a muzzle or the entire thing complete with little chinchilla like nose. Pawands (hand/paws together) and a long bushy tail. Her fur/ hair would be a lot denser meaning she?d be a fluff ball. Her eyes would remain the same, perhaps getting a bit more rodent like (ie: smaller, beadier). For her colors I'd like her to be white, or black. (It?d be fun to be surprised by it)
Why this animal/plant for your character?:
Heather's lazy and only wants to spend time with her animals. Well, when the doctor gets ahold of her, what better twist of fate then to associate pain with her favorite animal? Her normally laid back manner would take a drastic switch into more of a timid woman. Instead of liking being the odd-man-out, she would find herself caring about what other people think since Chinchilla's live in large social groups. For someone who hates the mainstream and tries to appear crazy, this would have a devestating affect on behavoir. Maybe another reason Moreau attempted this serum.

What is a Chinchilla question Chinchillas and their relatives viscachas are small, nocturnal mammals native to the Andes mountains in South America and belonging to the family Chinchillidae.
Chinchilla fur is considered the softest in the world and is thirty times softer than human hair. Chinchillas must regularly bathe in dust or volcanic ash to remove oil and moisture that gathers in their thick fur. In fact, they have the highest fur density of any land animal with more than 20,000 hairs per square cm (see sea Otter). Their fur is so dense that skin parasites (such as fleas) cannot live on one lest they suffocate. Whereas humans grow one hair from each follicle, a chinchilla has more than fifty hairs from a single follicle.
The international trade in chinchilla fur goes back to the 1500s and the animal (whose name literally means "Little Chincha") is named after the Chincha people of the Andes, who wore its soft and dense fur. By the end of the 19th century, chinchillas had become quite rare. In 1923, Mathias F. Chapman brought the eleven wild chinchillas he had captured to the U.S. for breeding. Only three of these were female. Since the mid-1960s, chinchillas have become increasingly popular as house pets. This peculiar rodent is also studied by linguists due to its aural range of perception. It is considered the closest to that of a human's.
In their native habitat, chinchillas live in burrows or crevices in rocks. They are agile jumpers and can jump up to five feet above their head. Predators in the wild include hawks, skunks, felines, and canines. Their diet consists of plants, fruits, seeds, and small insects.
In nature, chinchillas are light gray, while other colors have been developed in captivity. For example white, mosaic (white with gray or black patches), beige (very light gray), violet, and charcoal (black) colors have been seen. The gene for white is dominant, but lethal in the absence of a recessive gene of another colour. Red eyes are not only a sign of albinism but associated with beige colored-chinchillas.
In nature, chinchillas are monogamous and live in pairs. Unusual for mammals, chinchilla females are significantly bigger than males. Chinchillas can breed any time of the year. They have a very long gestation period for a rodent of 111 days. Due to this long pregnancy, chinchillas are born fully furred and open their eyes soon after birth. Litters range from one to eight babies, although the average litter size is two. In the case of a miscarriage, the fetus is frequently absorbed into the body of the mother, resulting in further sterility.
