Recently a new video game has been released that allows people to play while they sleep. Time flows opposite to the real world so that during the day the game is in night mode and vice-versa. As the players fall asleep they turn on the system and put on the head gear that connects to the brain and slips the players consciousness into the game allowing for anyone to both gain their needed rest as well as continue to stay awake within the game world. In theory the system is great but what about in practice? How do the players real lives change as they continue to play? And how do their lives differ in the game? Enemies in real life could end up being best friends in-game and not even know it. So lets see what happens to the players shall we?

He was a 4.0 student for his parents. Nevat wanted to do great things and become someone important that made a lot of money so he could take care of his beloved parents. Nevat didn't care what he became in order to do it. He was the model child, Respectful, Diligent, well-mannered and punctual. everything he thought his parents wanted him to be. One night, when he was 17 years old, Nevat heard glass breaking in his parents room. Just breaking glass, there were no screams or sounds of struggle. He went to investigate and he noticed his parents were missing. All their belongings were there so it wasn't a robbery. They just up and disappeared. Thaddeus, being twelve now, decided that he'd stay with his aunt, while his father, mother, and sister, all went in an attempt to visit the grandmother. The plane never arrived at the airport. No one is sure where exactly the flight went, but it never returned and the people on it were never seen again. Thaddeus was sent to his grandmother's home by train travel and inherited all that his parents left behind when he was 16. Throughout all of this time, I had dabbled in experiencing Video Gaming. After the disappearance, he thought that if he kept playing the games, he might find his sister in one, and that she could tell him what happened that day. Deep down inside, however, he knew this was just a foolish hope that would never come true. Present-day, he is on the verge of graduating Highschool with a decent grade-point average, thanks to the emotional support of his grandmother and aunt. But he's still playing these games.

Blaze gripped her sword as she eyed her prey. Her target was a level 2 beast, nothing she couldn't handle. She was trying to save up coins for a new outfit, to add to her armor. She didn't have a lot of defense now that she was fighting some higher ranked monsters. Plus, she was kind of over her current avatar look. With one swift attack, she took out the beast with her blade. A soft glow hovered over her for a moment, before disappearing altogether. She grabbed the bag of money that the beast dropped, giving a satisfied grin. She returned her sword to her inventory and left the small field area to rest. Once she decided on a spot, she sat down and began checking her stats. She was leveling up fast compared to most players, but her stats were a little worrying. Seeing a small blink on the corner of her menu, she opened it up to see another team request. Letting out a sigh, she declined and got rid of the notification. She had gotten multiple requests ever since the rumors had spread. Of course, she never accepted them. All the teams that asked her to join didn't add up to her standards, and she wasn't really a team player anyway.

"Ugh. This is so tasking." he said punching a Boar repeatedly.After several punches it finally disappeared and dropped some coins. "Heh, heh. Some booty!" he collected. "Almost leveled up." he said swiping away his stat window. Though I just started, I think I can level up fast. Not too fast though. Too much like work." he said as he sat down to rest. He laid on his back and looked up to the artificial sky. "Almost too real." he thought. He looked to the side of him and saw another noob character fighting. It was a spell caster. "Pssh. Not man enough to get up close and personal?" he said standing to his feet. "Can't let everyone get ahead of me. I bought this game for a reason." he said rolling his shoulder warming up. He started EXP farming and got some good EXP and gold. "Che! No items. Guess I can't expect much from lower Mobs. But I know I'm not strong enough to fight a Mob Boss." he thought.
He looked over and saw a Swordswoman handling business. "Up close and personal. As it should be." he smiled. He sat under a tree and opened up his stats window again. "Nothing really special. Yet at least.But leveling is soooo tedious. But I want to get my punches stronger so I don't have a choice." he said resting his hands behind his head. He pressed his back against the tree, swiped away the window and fell asleep. "I'll farm again when I wake up." he said as he drifted.
As soon as he finally got home Michael ran up to his room and switched on his game. He grinned a bit thinking he will find a team today. He then put the gaming gear over his head and laid down with his eyes closed. Within seconds he was logged into the game and was in the middle of the beginning town. It was only his second day in the world and he spent the entire first one looking around the town for anything to give him a beginning edge. So today he decided to look for a team. He asked around for a bit in the town to see if any teams were already formed or if anyone wanted to start one but most of the people didn't want one or didn't want anyone else in theirs. So he started walking towards the field to at least gain some levels since it didn't look like he was gonna find any partners today.
Blaze sighed as she calculated the amount of money she needed for the armor she wanted. She was just short of her goal, which made her a little aggravated. The fastest way to get money was to fight higher level beasts, but they were hard to find in these fields. Suddenly thinking of an idea, she stood up and went further into the field. Once she placed herself in the suitable area, she placed her fingers in her mouth and began whistling a specific tune. Moments later, multiple boar-like beasts came running towards her. This was a trick she learned from a beast-tamer she met not long ago. These beasts often came running at the sound of whistling, which made it easier for her to get them all near her at one moment. Drawing her sword, she waited for the herd of beasts to get closer to her. Once they got close enough, she struck using her Blade Dance. In a matter of seconds, the beasts were all defeated by her fast attacking. Letting out a satisfied sigh, she watched her experience go up as the beasts disappeared into a pixel-like light, leaving behind multiple bags of money. Blaze gathered up the bags and cashed them into her own money sac, having more than enough now.

Nevat leans his back against the tree he decided to shade himself under. He takes a deep breath and looks at his hedgehog companion Binka. "What are we gonna do Binka? Do you sense anything near us?" He asks aloud. Binka began to glow a low green hue. "With binka's presence sensing abilities, We'll never be bored or blindsided. Although due to her low level she cant sense more than a 20 meter circumference." Nevat explained."pwehyahh!" "Nothing huh? Well that's fine I guess... gives us time to think. Hmmmm maybe we should train. It'll take our minds away from dark places." He says as he stands up and walks toward the forest."PWEYAHH!!" Squeaked Binka in a panic. Nevat takes a look to the right and sees a lvl 2 board charging at him. He jumps over the assault, but is scraped by its tusk. "Tch.. gotta be quicker than that swine." He says as he recovers from his attack. He charges the boar and clawed his stomach with his standard weapon.Thick, sharp and retractable black nails that would resemble that of a lions. Attack success. Nevat looks to his shoulder and notices that Binka was gone. "Binka?! BINKA?!?! BINK..." Nevat was caught off guard, by the boar, as he was panicking looking for his beloved companion. He's rammed to the ground. after sitting up from that devastating attack Binka pops out of his cargo pants pocket. "Pweyah.?" Nevat looks at her in relief. "Things got a little scary for you huh? Thats okay we're both new to this it's okay to be afraid of battle. Stay in there i got this." He assures as he tucks her back in his pocket. The boar charges at him as he gets back to his feet. Nevat takes a crouching stance with open arms and hands to take this boar on. "I'll have to end it with this." As the boar impacted his chest, Nevat impaled his claws into its sides and used the momentum of the attack to hurl the boar into a nearby tree. The bore ,defeated, poofed into a bag of coins."Binka let's get some chow."Into the nearest town they went.

((I said you'd get 10 points per level up and if by ability point you mean like to buy skills then lets say it's based off the level of the enemies you kill. for instance You'll get one from killing one level one monster. But you can also learn skills by practicing them or doing a certain thing multiple times. Or if you really don't want to do work, weapons in the later levels can have some skills attached to them))
Kavinsky blared through the stereo and into the musky perfume filled air, Haruka lay on the black fur rug her small frame seemed to sink in."Where the f*** are my smokes?"She crawled around the floor, thin arms grabbing randomly as she searched the whole perimeter before resuming her place with her very flash and new laptop in front of her. She had been meaning to play this game and she had finished all tutoring for today, she had nothing else to do until dinner and that was far away in the day she was about to lose. She crept onto her bed and sprawled herself out, the headgear was all plugged in and ready for her to go. It was a new game, so the player count must not have been that big yet. This gave her enough time to level up before some punks tried to challenge her.
"God. How many low leveled freaks are there?"It was refreshing how hard it was to level up. She had gone and cleared out most of the low level dungeons already, it seemed that the pain receptors were on auto turn off so she put them on. She was tingling everywhere really, the pain was something she had grown used to after the first dungeon. Since she solo'ed the dungeon, she had enough gear just in case some person recognized her and wanted to PVP. Though fat chance of that happening when everyone was seeming to pick the common classes. She held her newly equipped "Dark souls" scythe and sliced in the air a few times, she needed to upgrade her pet dragon. She was lucky enough to be a beta tester on here that she was able to get the pet, the pet had little to do with attack but more the intimidation factor. She could easily buy a few spells in the city, death valley was too empty. She found she could TP there easily, it was a major city after all. Sighing, she waited before being hurled (very roughly) into cyber space. She bent over slightly, she should probably tune down the receptors a little bit. She stood up and eyed everyone that seemed to be there, lower levels from interacting. She made eye contact with a few before the victims at the end of her cool digital gaze turned away and pulled at the sleeves of their friends. She had no time for this, she walked up to the spells and upgrades stall with quick and graceful movements. She was to act cool, she couldn't have other people thinking of her a ditz. She scrolled through the list of spells the shop had to offer, they were all light and healer spells much to her disappointment. She bought a few upgrades for her pet in the form of food, her massive midnight wolf growled in probably pleasure. She heard a few mentions of her pet and something about hacking. She turned around to face the culprit, a LVL 4 Mage."Come here you jealous swine and tell that to my scythe." The mage easily got out his wand and started his first spell, it was stupid really, she had already slashed his right arm off when he uttered the second spell. His PVP flag shuttered from the impact, seems like it was a critical. He resorted to fireballs, she had been good enough with the controls to figure out how to jump and dodge easily. She missed the shot slightly, but she still lost 2 HP from it hitting her skin, she felt a pang of stinging heat on the small patch on her arm. She almost let her posture down. Almost. He seemed proud of it, she could tell because when she cut his head off, he had a dumb smirk on his face as his head rolled under a merchant table. She smiled as she leveled up, LVL 6 after an hour and she still had around 5 hours left."Anyone else want to underestimate my skill? Or call me a hacker? Turn on your pain receptors and tell me that."
Thaddeus wandered through the upper hallway of his grandmother's two-floor house before approaching his room, which he slowly opened the door to, entering it and flopping onto his bed as if he were dreadfully exhausted. He had been assisting with loading and unloading numerous objects the day before and the current day, as he worked as a part-time loader for a nearby Moving Company. A new family had recently come into the area, and he was amongst those responsible for making sure none of their junk was destroyed during the moving. Closing his eyes, he shook the thoughts of the busy day away and slid on the headgear that his grandmother purchased for him. "Virtual Reality Gaming while sleeping... We'll see about that." He commented to himself, as he closed his eyes. He had already calibrated the gear itself, and was curious to know how it would work when he started the game, Double Life, up. Soon, he found out. His character was quickly developed to something of his tastes, before he finally managed to appear inside of the world.

Song In My Head: POAH His feet landed lightly onto the ground as he appeared into the world, his apparent area being some sort of meadow-like fields. Glancing around, he noticed a few other players attacking creatures that'd seem like they'd be in any beginner-level area of a game. Boars. He scratched his head lightly, thinking to himself of how this was an interesting experience. Everything around him seemed blatantly developed. Realistic. Clear. He saw the sky, and how it resembled the real one, which astonished him. He smiled lightly, then shot a quick look at his side, where his starter blade rested at his side. He seemed to be wearing some sort of starter tunic and leggings, as well as his other items in general. ... What now?
