As always, Chi started her day handing out her newest stash of hand-made plushies. No one was sure how she made so many plushies so often, but the campus was already acutely aware that Chi was a plushie-giving maniac. She had good intentions, of course, but it had become too much. Students were beginning to turn down her presents, and lately it had caused a subtle sadness to spread through the girl. And so, in response, her gifting had become more aggressive. Plushies would appear in lockers or at the front of doors. If windows were left open she'd drop one or two through, fleeing. It wasn't helping her case, but no one ever said Chi thought hard on what would.
Currently, the junior was drifting throughout the halls, holding a small handful of vespercat plushies, left over from her drop-off from earlier that evening. Her tail swished lazily behind her, tip brushing against the walls as she passed classrooms. She wasn't paying attention much, so when she bumped into someone her own age it came as a surprise. She stumbled backwards, straightening herself out before looking up with an excited smile. Bumping into someone meant another person to gift a present to! Using a free hand to brush a strand of hair from her face, the heavily-lashed hybrid fluttered her eyelashes at the junior before her, thrusting a plushie agains their chest.
"Oh! Take this as an apology! I'm so sorry I ran into you!"

Quentin was avoiding the busier hallways, nose in a science book as usual. He'd made some friend's recently and got a good grade on his test so today was a particularly happier day for him. He smiled to himself as he paid almost no mind to where he was walking, no one really went this way. It came as a shock to him when someone ran straight into him, his book flying up and landing on the floor. "I-I'm so s-sorry miss!" He apologized immediately as he went to grab his book. He stopped when he heard what she had to say.
He grabbed his book anyway, shoving it under his armpit. He looked at the little vespercat plushie that she gave him. He touched it's soft fur with a fond smile. "You mean it? I can have this?" He asked. "Thank you. This looks wonderful.. I love vespercats." He told her, looking up to her with a sweet smile. He hugged the plush then took a deep breath, actually noticing her. She was very pretty... and was a hybrid. "You are really pretty." He said before he could stop himself. His face flushed a dark shade of red as he looked down, feeling like a bumbling idiot. "s-sorry!... I-I don't know why I said that." He rubbed his neck, considering escaping.

The hybrid flashed her brightest smile when the male accepted the present, head shaking almost immediately. "No, no! Thank you!" She squeaked back, smile growing wider. "I've been trying for awhile to find homes for these plushies!" The hybrid had begun brushing her dress off, not taking notice of the glance the other gave her, and barely even registering his comment until she caught a shade of red cross his features. Blinking, the hybrid stood straight, puzzling over the recent remark before another smile returned.
"Oh! Thank you!" She chirped, wings folding neatly against her back as she returned her gaze back to her dress, momentarily distracted. Her eyes slid over to the male once more, leaning forward to further examine in before she was adequately satisfied. Good, she hadn't hurt him! She knew she often had a habit of barreling into folks and leaving a bruise or two despite her petite stature.
It became apparent that she probably was keeping him late from... something. Unlike her, she knew quite a few juniors were in clubs! Oh! She was being awfully rude, wasn't she?
"Ah! I'm so sorry! Did I interrupt you? Are you going somewhere? You can blame me if you're late, that's totally fine! It was my fault, after all."

Quentin looked to the plushie, "You... don't like these plushies?" He asked curiously, unsure why anyone wouldn't like a cute plush animal for themselves. "I.. actually enjoy collecting plushies. I used to have a lot of them but.. well something happened and now I only have three, now four." He explained to her. He didn't notice her puzzled look towards him as he was hugging the soft plush vespercat with a fond grin.
As she leaned in to inspect him, he tensed a bit... curious as to what the heck she was doing. Was there something on him!? He looked down to where she was looking then back to her with a confused looked. He soon forgot what that was even about when she apologized for interrupting him. "Oh, uh... I wasn't really doing anything. I don't have anymore classes today and I'm not currently part of a club.. though I might join one soon." He explained to her, smiling softly. "So no need to b-be sorry, okay?" He added.
He knelt down to put his book into his bag, keeping the plushie out. "So.. where did you get all these plush toys? Do you collect them too?" Quentin asked curiously as he smiled to her, actually not feeling so shy around her now.

She frowned at his first question, head rapidly shaking side to side. Of course she loved the plushies! She just loved seeing others take them home! That and she had plenty back in her dorm. She had a habit of keeping one of each of her creations.
"I made them to give to people." She explained, looking down at her plushies and plucking a stray string from one, examining the string before flicking it to the ground.
"I make plushies every few days to give to people. They're all hand sewn." She added, wings flapping in excitement. "Now one has a home!" She squeaked, giving the softest smile before returning to fussing with a few stray strings.

Quentin watched as the excitable young girl explained that she did love plushies. He smiled as she mentioned that she made them for other people. How kind was that? He looked down to his little plush toy and smiled. "Well... I'm happy you gave me one." He explained to her, lightly petting the stuffed familiar's head. He was surprised that she made them so often, wondering how she could get all her school work done and make plushies.
"They are very nice.. You have quite a talent." He smiled again to her. "Well.. y-you can feel free to give me one whenever... I could always use more for my collection." He told her as he rubbed his neck sheepishly. He only had a few plushies left after he moved dorm rooms.
Quentin looked away briefly before putting his hand out, "Im... Quentin, by the way... nice to meet you..." He introduced, waiting to here the Plushie Fairy's name.

"I'm glad you took it!" She chirped back, fretting over her dress before straightening her spine, pulling her shoulders back. Okay, she really needed to work on her posture. Her head tilted to the side as he mentioned her collection, tail wiggling behind her. Oh! Good! Now she knew someone to target when gifting out plushies! Maybe now she could actually enjoy her craft again.
"Oh!" She squeaked when his hand extended, taking his and giving it a gentle shake before releasing. "I'm Chi! Nice to meet you."

Quentin smiled as he shook the other girls hand, "Chi, that's a pretty name." he said before shyly looking down. "So.. is crafts and such what you are interested in? Or do you just like to make plushies?" He asked curiously. He was pretty much only interested in the sciences and collecting stuff, he was fairly certain that Chi's interests would be much more fun.
Quentin looked over the girl again, seeing what he could learn through observation. Though, his thoughts were temporarily caught on her wings. He wondered what it would be like to fly. It'd be freeing he imagined. Reality check, he was staring. He nipped his lip as he face reddened, "So..u-umm... Is flying fun? I mean.. .if you fly!... or can.. or.. " Yep, he was making this awkward. He took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, "Sorry... I-I get nervous around others.. s-sometimes." He said sheepishly.

"Thank you!" She chirped back for the compliment, nodding hastily after. "I like most crafts, but my primary interest is in plushies."
She was honestly surprised by the next question, eyes widening before she gave a reassuring smile, giggling slightly. Was flying fun? She extended her wings, examining them in thought before breaking out into a bright grin.
"You know, I always took it for granted, but it is fun! I learned a little later than the others, but I figured it out!"

Quentin admired the others love from crafts, even if it was just for plushies. As a plushie collector, he was a bit more interested in what fabrics she used and how it was all put together. For sure he knew he couldn't do it himself... his hands weren't sturdy enough for the stitching, not to mention that crafts weren't his passion. His passion was saved for the stars. With a shy smile, Quentin rubbed his neck. "Oh? really? I wouldn't have guessed that at all... You learning late and all anyways. I sorta figured flying would be fun." He told her, kicking his hoof at the ground, "I wish I could fly so I could see the stars better but... As you can see I only have these horns, hooves and this bushy little tail." He added, chuckling quietly.

Chi's eyes widened as he seemed to..... belittle his traits? Just hooves, horns, and a little bushy tail?! What? Why, they were simply adorable! The hybrid practically jumped as she grabbed his hands, squeezing them as she raised his hands for him to see, a determined frown placed right on her face.
"Don't speak so poorly about yourself!" She exclaimed, head shaking as she let out a tiny and distressed sigh. "You may not be able to fly, but your tail is precious, and your horns are to die for. And your hooves? I bet it's nice not having to choose shoes out everyday! It's the worst! I never know what to wear!" Okay, maybe that wasn't so helpful... but to Chi that was an utter dilemma!
She released his hands, hands flying up to rub her locket thoughtfully.
"Besides, Baphomets have the ability to help nature. My kind don't. I can't even breathe fire, really, and I kill any plants I touch because I just don't get how to care for them. So don't say you 'only' have horns, hooves, and a bushy tail. You have a lot more!"
