Just where was the darn mirror that was supposed to be located around these parts? Surely she should have found it by now after pacing up and down the entire street for the third time and checking every single alley already?!
Elnath cursed the situation that she had somehow landed herself into, stopping to quickly glance up at the sky at the low rumbling sound that was made by the thunder. No no no no no. It can't rain just yet. It isn't supposed to rain at all until she was safely back in her rented apartment and buried under a pile of blankets to dampen the sound of the thunder that she so absolutely hated.
Digging her fingers into her palms, she glowered at the empty street, angry at the growing possibility that she was going to be caught out here in the rain at the rate that things were going. This was all that youma's fault. If that creature hadn't destroyed that mirror, she wouldn't have to venture all the way out here into unfamiliar territory only to get horribly lost with no quick means of getting herself home and out of the impending thunderstorm. Taking a deep breath to attempt to calm her frayed nerves, she rubbed her arms a few times, barely managing to suppress the shivering as she broke into a run to press on with her search.

A first-stage Dark Mirror aura was practically an invitation for Tantalus. For him, this was much more familiar territory - a regular part of his patrol route (or, one of them, he had several and varied them randomly; he was, perhaps, a bit too paranoid about being captured) and he wasn't used to crossing other auras, but a new member of the Court was a welcome opportunity. So he bounced from the rooftop he was on, landing on his feet several feet in front of her.
"Good evening," he said. "Are you alright?" He took a few steps closer, offering a hand. "I'm Tantalus." Ordinarily he might have added a little more flair, but she looked cold and frustrated, and this was perhaps not the time for that.baby_gwing oh my god i am so sorry i took forever to reply to this /worst

Caught totally unaware by the Super Dark Mirror Senshi who had seemingly materialised out of nowhere, Elnath barely managed to stop herself and avert a direct collision with Tantalus. "T-T-Tantalus." She took hold of the hand that was offered, glancing up at the sky again before turning back to him.
"I need to get home before the storm comes." She informed him without going into the details of why this was important though the grip that was around his hand was tighter for a fleeting moment so as to impress upon him how much of a priority this was to her at this point.
"Do you know where the nearest mirror is?"

Tantalus recognized the panic in her voice, the way she squeezed his hand just a little tighter than necessary. She must have been terrified of thunderstorms. Poor girl.
"It's not far - I came out of one, not too long ago. Come with me?" He asked, and it was phrased as a request mostly out of politeness. He was all but certain that she would follow him. "Being caught in bad weather is tragic, especially for such a lovely lady."
His tone was a little teasing, hopefully meant to relax her.

Heartened by Tantalus' confirmation that there was indeed a mirror located not far from their current position, Elnath nearly wept with joy. It was a relief to know that all was not lost yet for her after all. "If you could l-lead the way, I'll be r-right behind you." She eventually mustered enough courage to respond even as the occasion stammer that managed to slip into her speech hinted at just how flustered she was still by the impending thunderstorm.
Starting after the other Dark Mirror Senshi, she gave an appreciative nod at the light teasing that he had thoughtfully injected into the conversation. If anything, it at least gave her something else to focus her attention on for the time being instead of her own irrational fear that, if allowed to get out of hand, came with a very real possibility of severely incapacitating her. "It is. I'm sorry that we met under such circumstances..." She suddenly added, almost as if it was an afterthought.
"... and where are my manners, I'm Elnath."

Tantlaus nodded, and turned, starting back towards the mirror he had come from. It was tucked in an alcove on the rooftop, safe, hopefully, from prying eyes who might damage it to hurt the Court. He hadn't heard much of that recently, but it definitely happened, and he would rather be safe than sorry.
"It's right this way," he said, reassuringly, and then he rested a hand on his lantern, where it rested toed to his hip, calling out one of its soft glowing fairy lights. "This will help," he said, letting the light float over to Elnath so she could benefit from its calming aura.
"And it's lovely to meet you, Elnath, even if circumstances aren't the best."baby_gwing that's okay, mine ran away for a bit there too :C

The confusion was apparent in Elnath's voice though it wasn't long till she realized what Tantalus was referring to. Focusing her gaze on the fairy light, she felt herself beginning to feel better somewhat, almost as if her earlier anxiety had been melted away by the light itself.
Curiosity piqued, the Dark Mirror Senshi stretched a hand out to see if she could touch the light with her finger, a soft smile curling the edge of her lips at the same instant. "It's pretty. Is this part of your magic?"
Noir Songbird I'm so so sorry for poofing on you for so long. orz I'm happy to resume/finish this but if you'll prefer to drop this or start something new instead given how long it has been, please let me know. redface

Tantalus smiled, faintly. It was good to see his lantern doing its job - he knew Damocles wasn't fond of it, since it came from Mirrorspace, but it worked, for him and for others.
"It isn't, no," he said, and he untied the lantern from its place at his hip and held it up so she could see it. "It's all this - I found it in Mirrorspace, when I needed something like it. It's.,..done a lot for me, and for other people, since then." He laughed, a little.
