Dance
Taught by: NPC for All Academy Students Rules
Please only post when the title states a class is open.
You may enter only two Nightmare's per stage at a time!
Look below to see which activity is available for your character, and pick the appropriate activity for your Nightmares stage.
Do not claim growth points for your Nightmare until the class is over and Kanna or Argent has quoted you stating you have passed.
Should you do the assignment incorrectly they you will be quoted stating you did not pass the class.
When your character turns in their homework assignment you should write a small in-character RP response of them handing the homework to the teacher. Any length can do.

Class activities: FRESHLINGGet Moving! Dance is all about expressing yourself through movement! So get up and dance! Starts: NOW Ends: Oct. 30th, Midnight EST Rules:1. Post a song that your Freshling would dance too. (Keep them appropriate, please nothing with explicit lyrics. They do not however have to be age appropriate songs.) 2. Write a short RP prompt describing how they dance to the song. JUNIOR & SENIOR:Simple Steps Starts: NOW Ends: Oct. 20th, Midnight EST Rules:1. Have your dance student come up with a simple dance routine. Pick a song and then make a chart showing the steps of their dance. 2. Post it in the thread and have them "demonstrate" it to the rest of the class.

((I think this is being kept open; its date keeps getting extended because no students are entering!))  Dancing wasn't one of Sara's major hobbies. In fact, she wouldn't really call it a hobby, just as someone who sang in the shower wouldn't call singing a hobby. Dancing on her hooves was just something Sara did when she was bored, or fidgety, or enjoying the music she was listening to. Since she tended to dance so much on her feet anyways, she figured that she might as well take a dance class and learn some new steps. Their first assignment was pretty simple: design a dance and perform it in class. She was nervous--her diagram, while it made plenty sense to her, likely wouldn't make any sense to the teacher, but it was set to a fun piece of music, so what was the harm?
Her dance included many kicks, and a bit in the middle where the music reached the bridge where she traced a circular path around her starting position, twirling and even throwing her hands in the air above her head. She couldn't remember if the twirls and flourishes were on her notes, but it had just been so much fun...Music: "Blind Pew" by the Chieftains

 Eidil had been dancing since the age of four. It was one of her many passions--right up there with zoology, though, so really her second-greatest passion? She'd almost wanted to be a professional dancer when she was a little girl, until she saw what happened to their feet. She had screamed at that photo, which was probably her mother's intent, and from then on, she had been devoted to science. But nothing could rupture a dancer's love for the craft, and she took classes as often as she could. When she found out about a dance class on campus, she determined to make it one of her elective courses. Their first assignment? Compose a dance! She worked on it all night, using footprint stamps to represent the feet and curves to represent high-flying pas-de-basques. Her father cringed when he saw them and mumbled some joke about his knees. Eidil just giggled and danced more vigorously.
She turned in her diagram to her teacher, confident that the teacher would understand it, and launched into her dance.Music: "Kingdom Dance" from Tangled

It probably was not to anyone's surprise Cassie wasn't the most athletic, so when given the chance to choose her own music, she choose something on the softer, slower side. She wasn't able to do a lot of the fancy jumps or bends, but thankfully this was just an introductory level elective. A for effort, yeah? Her routine was rather straight forward, but it didn't mean she hadn't put effort into memorizing and insuring every movement was timed perfectly.
"Enjoy!" she offered with a smile as she finished her introduction, slowly beginning to move and pivot on her foot so she was never facing the same direction twice in a row. Cassie pointed her toes as she had be instructed for every toe touch, and she did a little half spin as she came to the finale, her routine having repeated once with a little variation to make it to the end. She was breathing heavier as she finished but her face was bright as she fluffed her bangs out of her face.
Gathering herself up, she presented her diagrammed routine to the teacher.
