Personality: Ayanna is completely devoted to her religion and her future position as high priestess. At least in her mind that will be her position, it doesn't matter that few people outside of her family really believe so. In this sense she could be considered delusional, though try to tell her that and she will most likely laugh in your face and insist that you don't understand how things work.

She's very ambitious and believes that she is the best and that through her devotion to Lurin and Dafiel she can do anything. She is courageous in this aspect, willing to face anything in order to make her a better priestess and leader for her people. All she wants is for the Sanctum to realize that she belongs with them, leading them into this new era. She intends to do this by converting the mainlanders, or at least as many as she can, to her religion.

Although Ayanna has never had many friends, her strong views and opinions scare them off pretty quickly, those that she does call friend either agree with her or don't tell her that they don't. She doesn't have time for nonbelievers, and although she will still be kind to them as it is her God and Goddess's wish, she will not involve herself with them unless it is to spread the word of her religion. With her friends she is kind, always with a good word to say or an encouraging pep talk when things don't seem to be going good. She is weary of curses though, and if she thinks that a friend is cursed she will pray for them but tend to stay away.

Description: I'd like her with darker olive skin and light purple hair (similar to #a593c5). Her hair is half shaved and long. Like this when down, but she also wears it like this up. As for her stones I'd like them to be where this girl has the lights, like on her leg, torso, chest, wrist and face. They don't have to be all those places but those are my favorite (Here is another picture of her). Also freckles if you would like, but not if they look messy with her crystals.

Clothing: I was thinking a dress. She wants to be a priestess, so anything that would be appropriate for that. Maybe something like this?

History: Ayanna's parents were simple merchants without a Priest or Priestess in their family for as long as they could remember. However that didn't stop them from believing that their daughter was touched from a very young age. They were told very early on in their union that they wouldn't be able to have children, but when Ayanna was born they knew that she was something special. Someone wonderful. She was destined for great things. It seemed however that the Sanctum didn't agree and she was passed up.

Although she was never taken to the Sanctum both Ayanna and her parents held firm to the belief that she would be. That she was only being passed over so that she could develop outside of the Sanctum before being accepted into it's walls. Her parents spoiled her, making it so that she never wanted for anyway. They made sure she knew all about the ways and taught her all that they knew. They were proud of their miracle, and they made sure she knew it. It was a loving relationship, one that was focused on getting Ayanna everything she needed to one day become a priestess.

Because of this Ayanna has always had her standards high, she wasn't going to be just any priestess but the high priestess. Her parents expected the best from her and she was going to give them that. It didn't matter that she hadn't been picked, she would show them that they were wrong and that she belonged. The older she got the more devoted to her religion she became, spreading the word among all that would listen. She has memorized all the superstitions and religious text and plans on going to the mainland to spread the Yael religion.

(She will end up being a Soul Linker and travel to the main land to spread the Yael religion. I know she will never be a priestess, but she doesn't know that.)

Some questions to start off :>

Would you consider her belief and refusal to accept that she isn't part of the priestess training as a bit delusional? It seems like a major plot point, as the main sanctum would never travel outside of the walls, so what is the big change that makes her go from believing she is chosen to believing she needs to break across the sea?

How would she deal with mainlanders? They are new and she obviously was raised with a steadfast belief in her religion, in the blessings and curses of the gods, and 200+ years of fear building of mainlanders. Sure, she is courageous, but how would she deal face-to-face with a mainlander? Would she be angry, aggressive, manipulative? Would she be the type to eventually trust a mainlander, and what would get her there?

What major plot points do you see happening on the mainland? Just curious how you picture her accomplishing her goal, and if you think she would return to interact with the sanctum and provide her findings?

I would consider it on the delusional side, even if she doesn't. In her mind she wasn't chosen because Lurin and Dafiel want her to do more with her life, spread their religion more, before becoming a high priestess. She ends up going across the sea because she realizes that what she has been doing on the mainland isn't working and in her mind spreading her religion to others who are "ignorant" (how she thinks of it) is something that will make Lurin and Dafiel happy. Pretty much she thinks she can get into the Sanctum by "saving" (converting) others.

Although she will be skittish around them at first. She has been taught that they are bad, however in her mind since she was touched she has the will of Lurin and Dafiel backing her up so there won't be any negative repercussions from being around the mainlanders. I think for the most part she is going to be on the manipulative side, but really since her goal is to covert those that she meets she will be kind and try to show how her way of living is the best way. Although she might trust a mainlander eventually I think they would have to convert, or at least convince her that they converted, to really trust them.

I don't really think she will accomplish her goal. Although it would be AWESOME if she could get a few people to convert (I'm going to put some adopts up for this) I don't see it happening. If it does she will just become more headstrong in her beliefs, her success making her even more fanatical. In this case she would return to the Sanctum to tell them what she's achieved in hopes that they finally accept her. If she isn't able to find anyone to convert after some time she will most likely be crushed. She will grow to doubt herself and wonder what she/her parents ever saw in her. Depending on her experiences she will either continue to roam the mainland, too ashamed to return, or go back to Yaeli to tell her parents they were wrong and try to figure out where to go from there.

A couple of things to start off with her appearance. Unfortunately, things like blindness in any form is something that needs to have permission from Suhuba before questing, so Ayanna will not be able to be blind in one eye. (If you could please edit her form to omit that info so it's updated for final approval.) Also, the hair color you've chosen is a little out of range for the yaeli, they don't really go that light. (Robo's Taillte is the very lightest they go) If you could edit her description to something within range for the Yaeli that would be much appreciated.

Can you elaborate more on her personality and how it applies to her outside of her religious views? How do her traits influence how she deals with people on a regular basis, like how does she interact with those she thinks are friends? Do her delusions reach out to how she views her own relationships? Like does she end up blowing things out of proportion or seeing hidden meanings in what others say that aren't really there? Things like that.

Does she have any siblings? What do her parents do? What is her relationship with them? I feel like her history could have a little more information about how she came to be the person she is today.
