Cassia was pleased. She had disposed of the males in her way in the tournament, and was now properly in the final against another female, who had equally disposed of the males in her path. The centauress stomped excitedly in the sands of the arena as she looked over Plaid. She was interesting looking to say the least, but she wasn't about to underestimate her in the slightest. She was not about to let her guard down. When the match started, she drew her bow quickly and let fly an arrow at her opponent.

Plaid faced off against her opponent. A centaur female wielding a impressive looking bow. Plaid chewed on her pink gum while studying her opponent. For someone who made it to the final round, there had to be more to her then what she saw. Plaid was so busy scoping out Cassia that she failed to react as quickly as she needed to. Cassia's arrow slammed into her chest, causing her to stagger backwards. Gasping for air, She reached up and ripped the arrow out of her body. Tossing it to the side, Plaid hefted her weapon and dashed towards the centaur. As she closed the distance, Plaid suddenly hit the ground in a dust stirring slide that would have made a baseball player jealous. She swung her sword as she slid, and attempted to crack Cassia against her hooves in passing.

Cassia smirked as her arrow shot true. She gave the other woman credit for bravely yanking it out and attempted to dodge her incoming maneuver but was surprised by the slide. The sword hit her hooves and she almost fell to the ground, but managed to right herself just barely. She immediately mule kicked out at Plaid as she slid by.

Cassia's mule kick struck her hard as she was in the middle of rising. Plaid stumbled hard and jabbed her blade into the arena floor to keep herself from face planting. "Oh thats gunna leave a mark." She grunted as she jabbed her thumb against the hidden button on her sword. With a coin clinking sound, a black gumball popped out into the air. Cassia snatched it out of the air with one hand, and twisted on her feet at the same time. She swung her sword in a one handed arc at Cassia while popping the gumball into her mouth.

Suddenly, and without warning, a mini-sandstorm whips up right where the fighters are standing, effectively blinding the pair. It's also loud enough to dampen the sounds around them. It seems this battle won't be like the others. Caius is getting involved, probably to add more challenge to the battle...or at least give him and the crowd more amusement and excitement. They will need to be extra careful...or take extra risks, whichever they feel is necessary.

Cassia feels her mule kick connect, and moved to turn around towards her opponent again. She saw her bite down on a gumball, right as the sword arc'd down at her. She managed to canter to the side, but before she could counter, the sandstorm Caius started engulfed the two. Effectively blinded, the centaur figured the God watching them was behind it, and after a growl of annoyance at men in general decided to swing her bow horizontally, hoping to hit the other warrior. She didn't dare fire an arrow in this mess.

Damn! Cassia managed to avoid being struck hard by her sword..and...double damn! A sandstorm? "Seriously?" Plaid snapped out, and instantly regretted it as sand got into her mouth..and her gum. Still she chewed her now gritty gumball in defiance of the sandy taint in it. Plaid tossed a arm over her eyes to shied them, then was sent staggering to the side as something really hard slammed into her side. Oh screw this! Closing her eyes, Plaid grabbed her sword with both hands, leaned forwards and made a sort of fish face with her lips. She exhaled through her lips, and spat out a series of small metal pellets in a wide arc into the blinding sandstorm. maybe she'd be lucky and hit something.

Cassia hated this. This was not an honorable fight!! She swore against men in general, and swore again as the metal pellets tore into her flesh, from her shoulder to her flank. She judged the direction they came from and this time did attempt to fire an arrow into the storm, hoping to get lucky and hit her opponent.

There was no way Plaid could know if she struck her opponent. A second later a arrow flew through the sand and grazed her arm. There! Plaid flicked her tongue against the black gum in her mouth, pursed her lips, and blew a thick skinned bubble. She couldn't make it too large, as the sand would tear through it instantly.With a scowl on her face, Plaid spat the gum bubble out of her mouth and in the general direction the arrow came from. As it flew through the air, the bubble grew to the size of a softball. A solid iron mini cannonball to be precise.

As quickly as it appears, the sandstorm is gone. But in its place, is a veritable horde of scorpions at the fighters' feet...a few hundred of them, approximately. And they are very, very angry. Now that the sandstorm is gone, amused laughter might be able to be heard from Caius and those in his special seating section...
(RNG. 1-2 damage for both fighters for each of their next turns.)

Cassia blinked as the sandstorm vanished, but it was then she got hit by the mini-cannonball. CLUNK~ The centauress was hit square between the eyes and she stepped back as she struggled to stay upright. Unfortnuately she stepped onto one of the many scorpions suddenly at their feet and felt a sting down there as well. Not knowing what the hell was going on, the centaur roared in rage and charged in the direction she thought Plaid was in.

The sand was gone! What a relief! But now there were...scorpions? Plaid curled her lip at the sight of them swarming the arena around her. Well she certainly wasn't afraid of the little insects. Just to prove her point Plaid slammed a foot down onto the nearest one. Unfortunatly she failed to notice another one crawling up her other legs boot. A sharp burning pain alerted her to it's presence, and she shook it off. Cassia's roar of rage brought Plaid's attention back to her opponent.
The centaur slammed head on into her, sending Plaid rolling over sand and scorpion alike. She forced herself to her feet a second later. Staggering, Plaid ignored the scorpions now currently crawling on her. Breathing harshly, she made herself run towards Cassia. She swung her blade in a desperate attempt to return the pain that the other had inflicted on her.

Cassia felt herself bowl into the other, and finally got the blurriness from her vision to go away from the last hit. The sting was turning out to be a bigger irritation than she thought, as she started feeling a little woozy as she came to a stop, and it was just barely she managed to get her bow up to block the sword swing, making her stagger a little more. Shaking her head, she snorted and attempted to push the blade to the side and out of the way, before bringing the end of her bow up towards the other's chin.

Something was wrong. Cassia's image seemed a little...wobbly. no wait....Plaid was the wobbly one. She was having a hard time standing straight, and that sting was burning more... Plaid shook off a scorpion that had crawled into her hair, then felt a sharp crack against her chin. Plaid toppled backwards, delirious as she struck the ground and simply laid there.
