It had been a week since the events of the Mad King, and Nadia had shoved the idea of what happened, deep inside herself. Distracted herself by hanging out with Lorne and Colin. Distracting herself without powering up and now it had been too long.
What was the life outside like? Did the nega's plot while she was away? Not because she was away, just because they were negas. What was going on with the powered side of her life? She felt like it had been a long time since she had been out.
She sat on her porch and shifted into Methone, uncaring that it was on her literally on her front door to her place. Slowly though, she moved to the top of her building, finding a seat among the small garden patio.
She pulled out her senshi phone, dialing the only guardian cat she'd need and prepared for Ash to mother over her.
She really needed it at this point.

The phone rang for only a moment before clicking over and a small, irate voice came over it loud and clear.
"METHONE? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK!" Ash's voice came through the phone with a huffy note to it. It wasn't entirely accusatory though... there might have been a little something plaintive about her tone.
"Where are you?" The guardian repeated in a slightly more civil voice, obviously restraining herself to do it though nothing could completely block out the almost-whine of it. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where have you been? I couldn't reach you or Aegir or anyone! I've been so worried."
There was a bit of a shuffling sound, like Ash couldn't quite sit still. "I'll come find you, just tell me where you are."Pixie Nyxie ;w; small tag is small. I'll do better next time.

Methone had to pull the phone away for a moment as the guardian cats voice squeaked on. The worry, she was thankful for. She hated knowing that she had left Ash, not left, but had been taken. With no way to tell her. It was lucky Aegir had been missing too because Ash might've thought the absolute worse.
Dead or Corrupted.
"Hey, no....not really sure if I am okay." She made a sound, fiddling with her skirt. "Top of my apartments, rooftop. I'll wait here, I've got it locked for the night so. I thought I would...call you. When you get here...I can tell you about it." She made a sound and then cleared her throat.
"Yeah yeah, I will wait here pretty lady. Don't worry, I don't think I'll...be taken this time." But who knew, sometimes planets just took people randomly it seemed?

"Don't you DARE move." Ash demanded before she closed the line, her voice holding a measure of a quaver. Relief or anxiety, it was hard to tell, because she felt both in equal parts.
Travel to the apartments took a while, but she made it as quickly as she could. Half of her was worried the senshi would be missing by the time she got there, even as she knew that logically it was unlikely. There was no reason for Methone to go and disappear, even if she'd already done it once and brought up uncomfortable parallels with what had happened with Amphitrite...
She was entirely out of breath by the time she raced up the steps of the building, bounding easily. The door, however, stymied her plans and Ash huffed irritably at it, her face scrunched up in a frown. Damn her diminutive size... it made things made for larger people so much harder to work with. With a motion, she called up a message and addressed it to Methone's phone.
Quote: Darling, I'm at the front door, can you come down? These dang doors are so difficult to work, it'll be much faster. Then maybe we can settle down somewhere and talk.
It pinged softly as she sent it, stepping back to wait for her senshi.

Methone chirped a sound of approval, and then waited. Soon enough, she was getting a text from the cat.
She headed over to the rooftops door and then opened the door for her cat.
"Ash..." Methone looked down and then held out her arms for the silver lady. Whatever she did, she was ready for the cat's love and chides. She missed Ash so terribly, even if it had only been a week.
It had been a long week.

The sight of her senshi warmed Ash through. When arms opened to her, she took a chance and sprang upwards. Sparkling light consumed her form and burst outwards, leaving a small woman to fall into the arms and wrap her own around Methone's waist. Blue hair and transparent cloak flowed behind, falling to hang around her. The cat-girl buried her face into the senshi's chest, mumbling something that came out muffled against her chest bow.
She still wasn't entirely clear what had happened to make Methone disappear off the face of the planet, but it had hit entirely too close to home. The thought of any of the people she cared about just disappearing like that was laden with anxiety and Ash secretly despaired at it. She knew she needed to trust her senshi, but it was so hard... her failure with Amphitrite still hurt deeply. She wasn't sure she'd be able to stand it happening again.
After a little while, she turned her face and pressed her cheek to her instead, the length of her tail tucked between her knees.
"Are you okay?" She said softly, fingers curled into the soft fabric over her back.

As the cat transformed, Methone took advantage of the skin to skin contact and the feel of arms around her. She hadn't realized how scared and tired she was until she was resting her head on the dark blue curls and nuzzling the cat who was mumbling something into her chest.
Methone loved Aegir, and she loved Mont Blanc. Thrymr and Scholomance were slowly crawling into her affections but Ash? Ash was truly something special. A best friend, A motherly figure, and she couldn't help the swell of feeling. She had to tell Ash in case she was ever taken again.
She held her quietly for another moment until Ash spoke and exhaled a breath slowly.
"Hurt. Tired." She said quietly, "I've never been taken of the planet for so long." She leaned back and tilted Ash's head up. There another quiet moment as she placed her lips on the forehead star as she thought about how to explain to the guardian what had happened.
"Mont Blanc, Aegir and I were kidnapped by some sort of Mad King. We were collared, forced to fight each other." She tried her best not to show emotion, Nadia was after all, not a crier. Except for sappy movies.
"The collars would blow us up if we used Magic. It was a long week...it felt like a couple of years." She made a sound of disgust, "I couldn't reach you, I'm so sorry..."

The Mauvian let her head be tilted back and looked up at her senshi with wide, lambent green eyes filled with worry. Her lips pressed into a line as she released her hold and reached to cup her face instead, restlessly brushing her hair back.
"My poor Darling." She mewed as her star was kissed, pressing her palms to cheeks. "Of course you couldn't reach me, that isn't your fault. We should go somewhere safe... can you take me to your planet? Would that be okay?"
Senshi planets were the safest places she could think of... the places no one could reach. On a senshi planet she could keep this form for as long as she liked without the danger. As much time as she wanted, to have arms and hands to hold Methone with and offer what comfort she could. More than she could as a cat.
"You're back now and you're safe. That's what matters."

"We can go. I think I got enough juice." It had been two weeks, she was sure. Since her last visit. Mont Blanc had gone, so now she would take Ash. It was only right.
"Here, hold on to me darling." She whispered to the guardian cat girl, wrapping her hand around her waist before pulling out her phone.
One minute they were surrounded by city lights, and the next, they were in calming beaches and soothing lapping water. Darkness shrouded the world in a soothing manner, while the Aurora Borealis she held power for, danced overhead.
"Welcome to Methone." Methone smiled and then fell to her knees. It took a lot of strength to be on a planet, and she felt drained and weakened by it and the attack she suffered. She waited a moment.
"Feel a little woozy." She laughed nervously, before looking up at Ash. "I can show you around, Ash. Do you want to see?"

Ash wrapped her arms on her senshi as she pulled out her phone, her face set in firm lines that promised she was going no where soon. She didn't get to travel to senshi worlds often, so there was the thrill of getting off planet, but it was a small compared to the concern she had for Methone tonight. Any other time, she would have gaped at the surroundings and gushed about how lovely they were, but her eyes were all for the woman who sank to her knees.
Ash mewed as she settled down next to the dark haired woman, gathering her into her arms again. She felt infinitely better now they were safe and she didn't have to worry about her aura.
"Its lovely, Darling, but I'm here for you, not for your planet. You can show me around later." Despite being smaller, she drew Methone's head to her and wrapped arms around her shoulders, fingers stroking down the side of her face and cheek pressed to cheek.
"Its so frustrating, being unable to reach my senshi when they disappear..." Ash groaned, her face scrunching up. "I'm so sorry for all of this. If I could just known where you were, maybe I could have done something... found some way of getting help to you. I'm going to find a way, believe you me!"

Methone didn't want to feign the damsel right now, but she ached. She ached hard. The travel to her planet wasn't easy of course, and it was harder because of her being a super.
"No." Methone breathed in, "I feel better here. It's weird. I like coming here a lot. Can I just rest on you for a moment?" She did so anyways and eased herself into Ash's pets.
How funny to think about, a cat petting a human. Cat person? Cat human petting a normal human?
"I wish I could fix it." Methone hesitated, "I wish I could be stronger, I wish I could take care of you instead of making you worry." Methone sighed. "I have a lot of wishes. Here..." She smiled softly, "Wanna see the chimes? The Plateau? Let me show you this at least Ash."

She smiled as she senshi leaned on her, throwing her arms around her neck to cradle her head against her chest.
"I suppose its a good thing then, that I made you bring me here. I think we could both use a little soothing in a safe place." She said as she ran her fingers through the dark hair, enjoying being able to smooth it down with real digits. She missed being able to do little things like this when she was a cat, though there were benefits to being small and cuddle-able too.
Methone's desire to be stronger was a commendable one and it made her proud to hear it from a senshi who was so often lazy and easy going. The desire to push herself, it was heartening. She had long ago accepted that Methone would never be a senshi who went looking for danger, but all she really needed as a desire to do, when she needed to. The thought tickled at the back of Ash's mind and stuck there, tugging at her attention.
"Oh! Um... sure, I would love to see them, Darling." She said, pulling her attention back to her senshi. There was some way to go about this, she was pretty sure. Which, when she actually settled down to think about it, was pretty clear.
What was a Guardian Cat for, anyway?
"Do you really mean that, Methone?" Ash said as she pulled back, reaching to cup the woman's face in her hands. "You want to be a strong senshi and take care of people?"
She felt warm in her hands, and it was a good sign.

Methone, rubbed her face and then smiled softly at the cat girl. "This way then." She wrapped her arm in Ash's, and then headed off the stone path that was cleared for her.
"The village is all made of glass, and it looks like they have greenhouses. Sometimes I come here and I see memories, or ghost." Methone laughed, "I thought it was weird, but the ghost looks like me. Me but different."
she looked over at Ash, as the girl cupped her face and her smile softened.
"It's all I ever seem to want now. I wanted to be lazy, and sleep." She laughed, "And then I met you, and Aegir, and Mont blanc. Now I have people that depend on me. Need me." she took Ash's hands in hers.
"I want to protect them. I want to be the strongest I can be."

Ash held her senshi's hand with an earnest expression and allowed herself to be led. More of her mind was on the woman beside her and how much she cared about her than on their surroundings. It wasn't that she found the asteroid boring, not at all, but there were more important things than an alien world. Like caring deeply about someone.
"You've come a very long way, you know." She murmured as she padded bar footed over the ground, her purple and blue cape trailing. "You've grown a lot and it makes me so proud of you. I've gotten to watch you from the very beginning and I'm really happy for that... It means a lot to me."
The Mauvian tugged her friend to a stop and reached up to cup her face, green eyes shining behind her visor with a mix of emotions, not the least of them a sort of maternal pride. "You have one step left to take and then you will be able to realize your full power... I hope you won't forget me, when you don't need a guardian any more, my Darling."
Her lips crooked in a small smile as she dropped her hand from face to the bow over Methone's chest. She could feel the light glowing under her palm and her smile warmed as she reached for it with that special sense she had, feeding it till it swelled brighter and brighter.
"I want you to say: Methone Eternal, Make-up!" She said firmly, still cradling that light in her mind.

"You think so?" Methone paused in her walk, and laughed. "I suppose it is true. Back then, I would've been sleeping on the job. You know, after I met you, my life has kind of changed. You've been a very strong influence with me." Ash was her guardian after all, and someone she wanted to impress and live up too.
And protect.
So to hear the words come out now, made her smile and happy. A week ago she was trapped in a cell, waiting. Waiting for her to survive and coming back.
"I will always need you Ash." Methone shook her head. She wanted to say, were you leaving her? Was she not worth the time anymore? She wanted that final level of power, but did it mean that she wouldn't have Ash around?
Methone looked at her, into the eyes of her dearest friend and nodded. She kissed Ash's forehead before uttering the simple words.
"Methone Eternal, Make-up!"
