 "If there was a prize for wretched judgement..." The indigo mare mused to herself in a low whisper as she meandered beneath the trees. It was a fine enough day, one would think, perfect for basking in the cooling autumn air and admiring the shifting color of the leaves. And Daliu could certainly appreciate the cooling air, her dark coat making her somewhat disapproving of too-warm weather. Still, her own thoughts left her meandering without direction, caring little for the fiery reds and brown leaves swaying overhead.
Honestly, girl? I think you've won that... The fifth time, really? How is anyone's luck that bad?
"Not that there is any point is dwelling on it... No use in crying over plucked flowers... Time to move on to another meadow and see what other varieties await, right?" She said it with false cheer, lifting her chin as a stubborn glint lit her blue eyes. "Mother would never approve of you acting like this... And if you're so unsure what to do with yourself now that he's gone and left you, go talk to her about it. She always has an idea or two."
Maybe she would return to the Fayth Clan, to see what use she could be to her adopted kin. Perhaps they needed a messenger or another emissary, or even just to visit would be nice. Whistle would take one look at her adopted daughter and know how best to distract her from the misery of yet another stealing her heart and then tossing it away as he disappeared into the sunset. Not that Daliu wanted to think about that right now.
"Come off it." She scolded herself gently. "Summer is fading and it's another beautiful day.. Just, make the best of it. Maybe you'll make a new friend to take your mind off things!"
The indigo mare gave a soft laugh and a shake of her head, but picked up a gentle lope as she headed toward one of the many meadows nearby. This late in the summer, or early in the fall, it would have a few wildflowers left... Maybe she could find a dandelion to make a wish on! AstoriaFallen Behind, but here we are! 4laugh

~Latonia de la Courtel~ ahhh. im sorry that this post totally sucks. :c I'm not sure where my muse has gone too. -_- Amadahy was quite thrilled with the changing seasons. It would soon be fall and not too long after that, winter. She honestly enjoyed both of these seasons the best. She just found the snow to be so lovely though it was rather cold at times, but that was alright. The beauty seemed to make up for that. She wasn't sure where she was, just that she had been wandering around enjoying the weather. She especially enjoyed watching the leaves changing. It was something that calmed her and she was so lost in the moment she hadn't realized she was in the presence of another until she wasn't more than a few feet away. "Oh, hello there! I wasn't entirely watching where I was going. I didn't disturb you did I?" She said looking at the violet colored mare with her wings fluttering anxiously. She should really pay more attention to where she was going.

Slowing down to a meandering walk, her head filled with thoughts of elsewhere. Another year was slipping away around her, Summer's bright strength giving way to Fall's riotous colors. The white stillness of winter would be there soon, the snow so like her mane and tail in color and her coat deep indigo night. She wouldn't blend in at all, but rather favored her walks through the winter woods.
'It will be lovely and quiet, as most winters are...
The sudden appearance of someone new, like a fractured bit of sky borne on butterfly like wings, jogged her out of her musings and aimless wandering. With a faint shake Daliu turned to face the stranger, giving a wide grin and nod of her head.
"Good day to you as well! And oh please, do not worry. I too was wandering without paying attention to where I was going. This is place not mine, and I apologize in turn if I disturbed you." Daliu offered with a grin that turned into a soft flutter of laughter. "It is a lovely day, is it not? I am Daliu, it is a pleasure to wander into you! "

 Wings fluttered against her side gently as the mare responded to her question. It pleased her a great deal to know she had not disturbed her in any way. She gave a small smile and shook her head. "You haven't disturbed me by any means either." It was a relief to know that the pair of them hadn't really been paying too much mind to their surroundings, let alone company, but the day was so nice it was easy to get distracted. "It is a lovely day and It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Daliu. My name is Amadahy." She shared her name in return to the violet colored mare.
She was pleased to have met such a nice individual out on this wonderful day. "Perhaps we can walk together?" She offered her kindly, her wings fluttering every so often, much like a heart beat, but not as frequent. "You say this place is not yours? Are you just traveling through?" She was curious to know if the mare was just wandering, or perhaps she was lost. She was hoping she could give her some aid if it was the later of the two.
Her gaze danced around them for a moment, taking in the sights as her ears took in the sounds of everything around them. She just felt so in tune to everything around her and she was easily stolen away from the present and lost in the magic of nature itself. Her gaze and attention returned to the mare after a few moments though.

Though Daliu had met a few flutters throughout her journey, she was still amazed by the apparance of delicate, gossamer wings. There were so many different wing styles and shapes among the flutters, and she couldn't help but admire them when she had the chance. The delicate flicker of this stranger's wings vaguely reminded her of sunlight glittering on seafoam, or of dainty exotic flowers scattered with raindrops.
"I am most glad to hear it. I was a bit distracted by the loveliness of my surroundings, I'd have felt very guilty if my flight of fancy happened to ruin your day." Daliu gave a soft chuckle, laughing softly. "Lovely to meet you as well, Amadahy. I would be happy to travel with you. I am afraid I have no destination in mind, I was just wandering to drink in the sights and enjoy my journey. It is always a pleasant surprise as to where I end up, and who I meet and what I see on the way."
The indigo mare gave another smile, her blue eyes glinting. "Indeed, this is not my home, though I do not live too far. The herds I am friends with roam not far off from this place, so some of these paths are known to me. Well enough for me to comfortably travel through them, at least. And you? Does your herd or family dwell near here, or are you new to the area?"

She smiled at the mare and was pleased to know that she wasn't the only one who was easily distracted by her surroundings. Though when flowers were in bloom her head was just all about them and it was hard to keep her focus. "Well, it seems we are both pleased to have not ruined one anothers day." She said with a smile as she thought of where there was water located. She was fairly certain there was some located nearby. "I didn't have set destination in mind myself, but finding a place to drink from is a good start." She said cheerfully, her wings fluttering slightly as she walked along side her.
She had to agree. Traveling was one of the best ways to meet others, and some of them had great personalities! She had yet to meet someone who was a stick in the mud. She listened as Daliu spoke of her home not being from around here and she wondered how far the mare had traveled to get where she was now. She was a good couple days walk from where her home was. "Have you traveled far?" She figured she might as well ask while on the topic. "I myself am a few days travel from my dwelling, though I do not belong to a Herd." She said thinking of where her family might be. "My family was always traveling and never settled in one place so as soon as I was able I set off on my own as well." She said with a smile as she looked over at her newfound companion.
She took in a deep breath and nodded her head in the direction of some water. "I do believe there is some water that way."

Shifting slightly on her hooves, Daliu gave a faint shrug. "As far as things go, it is a good sign I think. I am not sure those that delight in ruining someone else's day are those I would choose for company... In fact, I am rather certain it would be the exact opposite. Still, I hope to improve things where I might, and a nice conversation would be a delightful addition to my day."
Her smile grew wider as Amadahy fell into step beside her, and she couldn't help but agree. "A nice walk and a drink and a good talk sounds like a delightful way to spend the day. I am grateful fate has been so kind as to arrange it for us. As for how far I have traveled, I will admit that this is the furthest I have ever been. My home is not a traditional one, so choosing it as a point from whence I have come can be somewhat, unwieldy?"
She hesitated for a moment, running calculations in her head. "My original family was, less than suitable. Thankfully, there was a kind Clan that chose to settle not far from where I lived as a foal, and I became somewhat of their number. They too have a legacy of light hooves, and in that I fit in well. Some of their number are winged and have the luxury of further travel than I, but at the moment I am many days away from the lands they consider theirs to protect. If I reckon that as my home, I have traveled far indeed. Still, I was hoping to see the Sea, and the mountains, and perhaps even the borders of the desert before I return home again... So one could argue I am not far at all, if compared to where I will be going!"
Daliu gave a soft laugh and a nod, following the other mare's lead. "Very well, that sounds wonderful. Please, lead on. Now then, while we are walking, did your family come here too? Do you hope to find them or other flutters among which to make your home? Of course, if it something you do not wish to speak of then we certainly will not... I am just, curious."
