Cassia stomped the arena sands as she cantered in place impatiently. The opponent in front of her didn't look like much but she wasn't one to underestimate anyone - even if it was a man, which she detested in general. No one knew where that hatred came from and no one dared even ask her.
The black centauress with red hair and tail had light armor over her flanks, and her pale human half was covered with light armor as well, over a simple top. A belt of daggers was around her waist but her main weapon was a simple but dangerous looking bow she had made herself, with a quiver of arrows within easy reach. The first thing she did once the match started was to draw back her bow and let loose an arrow at the opponent in front of her.

HP: 18
Lufti the Weaponless entered the arena with his hands folded before him and his head bowed. His dark skin was covered in stark white markings meant to give him strength of mind, body, and spirit. His hair was pulled back into a top knot and braided down his back like a black serpent ending at his sandal wearing feet. Lufti wore a light robe with a open chest, which exposed more of his dark skin, the white painted markings, and a very well toned abdomen. When he entered the arena, the monk dropped to his knees and bowed in reverence towards the stands where Caius himself would be seated, then rose to face his opponent. He faced Cassia with a expression of serenity. When the match was declared begun, the monk dashed forwards across the arena floor towards the centauress. He twisted his body so the loosed arrow grazed him along one arm, then closed the distance between them. Lufti thrust his hands forwards in a open palm strike for the females lungs as he came to an abrupt halt.

Cassia's shot grazed him, and though she saw him dash in the quickness and agility surprised her -- so much that his strike hit her hard in the chest, and she felt it even through the armor. Her breath stalled for a moment but she didn't want to let it slow her down, and she reared up suddenly, attempting to smack her knees into the monk.

Lufti saw the centauress rear, and immediately he dropped to a knee, lowering himself down to a level less easily struck at. Her knees grazed over his shoulders, leaving what would be deep bruises later. In the mere second it took her to rear and lash out, Lufti was already in motion. He braced himself on one foot and lashed out in a spinning kick for her back legs.

Cassia saw him move, and cantered abit to match, so the blow wasn't as hard as it could have been to her rear legs. She turned to attempt to smack him across the head with the end of her bow, as she cantered back for some space.

Lufti's spin ended with him facing Cassia. He saw her swinging the bow at him and snapped his arms up in a defensive X. He managed to block the blow with a minimum about of damage to his arms. Lufti twisted his body to the side, rising in a flare of his robe as he sidestepped and attempted to leap up onto Cassia's back where he could jab his knees into her equine torso.

The monk managed to find a spot her armor didn't cover as he managed to leap atop her while she was backing up, she grunted in pain and attempted to reach behind her to grab him and fling him off of her.

Lufti learned what it was like to fly. For three seconds. He hit the ground hard and rolled. His shoulder throbbed with pain as he came up. The monk made no sound of pain though, as he stood and turned to face the centaress. His shoulder hung at a strange angle, so the monk took a moment to grasp his own elbow. With a crunch of bone he twisted, and forced the bone back into it's socket. Looking at the female, he dashed forwards once more. Lufti leaped upwards and attempted to slam both of his feet into her chest with a flying kick.

Cassia had to give him props for not showing pain and fixing his own dislocated shoulder. But she had plenty of time to prepare as he dashed at her again. She cantered to the side as he leapt, avoiding it entirely, and attempted to smack her bow across his back hard.

The female avoided his kick well. He felt her bow crack against him from behind. Though his head was ringing, Lufti tucked into a roll when he struck the ground. His vision was a bit blurry, but he had training to help combat this moment. Lufti stood up and swung his head in a whip lash circle. His hair swung out in a wide arch as Lufti attempted to strike at Cassia with the braided end.

The centauress somehow managed to avoid the sudden whip movement of his hair -- what a weird man -- and she attempted to catch it and yank downwards, hard.

He did not manage to strike the female with his braid, and she in turn grabbed his hair. Her jerk hurt of course, but the monk did not hesitate. Grabbing his hair at the base, he jerked back, and spun a kick towards Cassia in response to her downwards yank.

The monk was full of surprises, and jerking back was not something she expected. His kick landed solidly against her and she let go of his hair, before cantering back and quickly knocking and firing another arrow from her bow.

Once again the centauress lifted her bow. Lufti spun and felt the arrow gouge through his skin. he had many bleeding wounds now, but he didn't slow down. The monk dashed directly for Cassia. His smile was still on his face. So calm and peaceful as he attempted to lunge upwards...to crack his forehead into her lovely face.

Cassia saw him avoid part of the arrow again and dash in. She moved as he lunged, and took part of the hit -- then attempted to catch him and trap his head between the bow and strings of her weapon...and twisted it attempting to use it as a makeshift garrote.
