Shang stood in the park with his sister, pacing for the girl hadn't been in control that long and he wasn't sure how long she would remain as such. The rumors had hit him first via Phact, then Pompeii and continued on. Something was wrong with Maia and she had already tried to kill several people. When he came across her, they fought, but she had gained control before she had the chance to end his life.
They'd both sent out an all call for help, the need to act immediately was dire. They had to go to Maia and destroy whatever was killing her. Shang gave his sister a wary glance as she set with her arms wrapped tightly around her knees the grip on her thighs looking painful. She felt so weird to him, not bright and warm, but off, weaker and darker ... tainted, but not corrupted. It was a very strange conundrum.
He hoped to the cosmos that she would remain in control long enough for them to get this done, but he was doubting it highly. She looked strained.
"I don't have the strenght Shang," she mumbled into her knees, "If I try to take more than me I have no idea what will happen."
Shang shook his head, "Don't worry about that, I've got it covered." As long as Ida came he figured she'd have a little more strenght. He hated to ask it of her after she gone through so much last month.
"Someone's coming, hang in the Songbird," Shang whispered lightly.
"I'm trying," she responded, "gripping her legs tighter.
So Shang and Maia have sent out an all call, for help. The message asked to meet in the park by midnight and that they would be going to Maia to defeat some sort of darkness that was killing her and making her crazy at the same time.

The signature was strange, to say the least. Babylon wasn't a spring chicken. He'd been around the block long enough times to know the feel of a senshi or a lieutenant, to pick out the difference between a dark mirror and downright corrupt - and in all his years as a knight, he'd never felt anything like this before, like a white moon senshi but wrong.
His own signature had been strange once, too, of course. He'd been in the throes of a near-death experience, Babylon recalled. If there was trouble, then he owed it to his side to investigate.
Babylon made his way towards the signatures - one strange and muted, the other squire-bright. The path took him into the park, and he thought to himself that if they were trying to attract a crowd, they'd picked the right place for it.
Finally, the pair came into view. Babylon bit the inside of his cheek. He'd met the knight a few times, but the senshi hunched over on the ground wasn't one he'd dealt close with before.
"Shangri-la," he said, raising his lantern to eye-level. "She's.... she's not alright, is she?"
it seemed that despite everything Maia was still not right, not well, if what he'd heard from Xander was anything to go by. If it weren't for that, and the fact he'd been involved in this from the start, he might not have gotten involved as he had his own set of issues to deal with and overcome. But he wasn't going to back out of this now, he'd see it through.
When the call had gone out he'd been fairly close, wandering and hoping to not run into anything more than a youma here or there. He wasn't expecting the call nor what it entailed. He hadn't hesitated though as he made for the park and the two, soon turned three, auras he felt there. A knight, a squire and something that was a senshi - eternal but off. Shaking his head his fingers ran through his hair before he tossed the fall of dark hair back, only for it to fall back into place. Sighing he finally saw the three and stared for a moment before speaking up.
"Others are coming - I hope." He whispered as he approached Shang, arms hugging himself as he came closer to the group.

Maia was in trouble.
Ganymede wasn't sure what was going on, nor was she completely aware of what the strange aura she was feeling meant, but she wasn't the type to ignore a call for help, particularly when it came from a friend. The message said to meet in the park at midnight, and she didn't give it a second thought. Of course she would be there. If Maia needed help, then Ganymede would do all she could to see that adequate help was given.
She arrived not in her Princess garb, but in her Eternal fuku, wary as she was about her own aura attracting too much attention. It was bad enough that her aura had the distinctly pure sensation of a transcended Senshi; she didn't need the vast strength of her Princess aura attracting unwanted guests to the area.
“Maia!” she said when she arrived, only a few moments behind Babylon. Valhalla was with her, but Ganymede didn't spare a thought for what it might mean to have the two Knights around one another. Surely they were both mature enough to put their differences behind them when it came to situations like this.
“What's going on?” Ganymede asked, kneeling down in front of her friend. She almost reached out for her; indeed, her hands hung there uselessly, unable to determine whether or not touching Maia was advisable.
There wasn't much of anything Shalott wouldn't do for Shang, for any of the knights for that matter, so when the call went out she headed over as quickly as she could manage which, sufficed to say, was pretty darn quick. She pulled up short next to him and his sister, others gathering around them both as well. She nodded to them. Some she knew and some she didn't.
"Oh, Shang..." It didn't take a genius to see that Maia wasn't very well off. "How can I help?"
She'd only met Maia once, a very long time ago and briefly. She was in civilian form then, as a bystander, and the two had never actually spoken but she recognized the girl. It broke her heart to think about anyone on their side hurting like this and wanted desperately to be of some use.
"Should...should I call Camelot?"
As the only Royal Knight she knew, and her husband, he always seemed to make things better when she called on him.

He knew something was wrong even without being to feel the auras. It had been a few weeks now and he was doing his best to learn how to cope without being able to sense anything, but after being so used to something that seemed so natural, it was very unsettling to suddenly not be able to feel that energy.
Valhalla didn’t call out to his friend as Ganymede had, coming to a stop close by Babylon if only for the light of the lantern and proximity to an ally he’d known for a long time. Had it not been for Babylon, he didn’t know if he and Ganymede would be where they were today.
“What can we do?” he asked, the squire addressed by Babylon as Shangri-la. He felt as though he’d met him before, but couldn’t quite place when or where. Probably during a large battle or similar event where Maia was involved.
He could remember when Benitoite had pulled Maia’s starseed from her chest, and his stomach twisted uncomfortably. Surely she was going to be okay… He would do anything he could to help her. He didn’t need his magic or his eagle.
Penthesilea did not know Maia, and she did not know Shangri-La, but she did know that the strange, broken, almost-corrupted aura made her skin crawl. She could feel other Transcended auras, and that was enough to make her head for it, because even though she wasn't like the rest of them - even though she couldn't give energy and help people - sometimes, you needed somebody whose entire goal and purpose in life was to break s**t.
So she moved as quickly as she could, bouncing off buildings and racing to the park and to the gathering of people and auras.
She was glad to see that there were some familiar faces - Ganymede, Babylon. And there was an Eternal Senshi on her knees, looking like she was in pain. The source, Penthe realized, of the strange aura.
She didn't push through, but she did frown slightly. "What's goin' on?" And then, addressed to the poor Eternal, "you alright, there, cherie?"

Athene had first found out about Maia's call for help from Ida and had readily agreed when his team mate and friend asked him to come along.
The message that he had found waiting on his senshi phone once he had powered up would have ensured that he came even if Ida hadn't asked however, because whilst Athene didn't know Maia as well as some of the others that he'd met - he'd found that what he had seen of the curly-haired senshi he'd liked and respected.
There was also the fact that he had an alliance of sorts with Maia, a personal one rather than a team one, and Athene did his best to keep his promises - even when he had doubts about just how useful having him along would be - after all he hadn't been of much help during the two corruptions that had happened a couple of months back and he hadn't been able to prevent some mad man from kidnapping Ida...
In fact he hadn't even been around when it had happened and Ida had for all intents and purposes just disappeared.
His doubts hadn't stopped him from actually making his way with Ida over to the park that Maia's message had specified as being the meeting place, other auras suggesting that neither of them were the first to arrive.
There was another aura amongst all the warm Order auras of varying strengths - one that felt weird - felt slightly weaker and almost dark... Almost - tainted.
"I don't like this" he said quietly, worry flitting across his face as he turned to look at Ida for a moment before moving towards where he thought he could feel all the auras coming from.
Because despite his unease at the aura and despite his doubts Athene planned to try his hardest to help out, a part of him hoping that this time his efforts - all their combined efforts would be enough.
Sherwood hadn't gotten any call. She was only in the right place at the right time and happened to feel all of the gathering auras in the area. None of them felt bad and she was curious about others like her, like Papa Camelot. As soon as she felt it she started toward where they all were and, upon arrival, hesitated toward the back.
Suddenly now that she'd arrived she was nervous. What if they didn't want her there? It was rude to go to a party uninvited. She wanted Newgrange, or Nektar, A familiar face to tell her it was ok.
The little page had no idea what she could offer to the group that felt like mostly those more powerful than she was. She crept forward, seeing everyone gathered around what she thought was a senshi. She looked like she wasn't well, maybe she had a fever. Did she get sick?
"Um, hello? Is she ok?"
Her question went out to anyone who would be kind enough to explain to her what was going on.

Antares had been 'patrolling' the streets, in reality she had been doing little more than stalking the shadows observing the world around her. Mentally coming to terms with the aftermath from her captivity, the physical effects had been healed but the mental ones still shadowed her every move. She couldn't stand being touched before but now she disliked having someone come from behind her without any warning. She was more hesitant to jump right into fights but Antares also found that the focus required for a fight helped drag her out of her own thoughts. When she had returned she found that Maia was off her rocker and she had been avoiding Maia so a fight wouldn't occur, Shang would not like it and Antares didn't think she would be able to beat the redhead.
When she received the call for help the young senshi was startled but not overly surprised, Shang had been working on a way of helping his sister when the mad King decided to play evil roman emperor. No one walked away unscathed so when the call for help appeared she knew it was time to actually put some of her building anxiety and emotions on the line. The blond senshi moved quickly over the rooftops. She had a distance to travel since Antares had wandered quite far while lost in her thoughts and memories.
Even with the distance it didn't take her long to reach the park from her rooftop she had been on. Eyeing the others who had gathered, quite a few she hadn't met before the blond girl cautiously approached Maia and Shang. "Is it time?" She hunched further in her black hoodie, the 'skirt' of her fuku peeking out from under the hem of the overly large sweater. It was a trick Maia had first told her about when Antares complained about her bright a** uniform and how exposed it made her feel. Shifting from side to side she quelled the desire to pace back and forth since it would do nothing but annoy the others and even maybe even distract Maia, who looked like she was barely holding it together as it was.

Pompeii was out practicing, she still felt her ego smart from the thrashing Maia gave her. A small flame of retaliation burned in her but even though Pompeii was older than the redheaded senshi there was no way the purple knight would be able to return the trouncing... at least not the way she was right then. It had been sheer luck that had kept Pompeii breathing and intact, not anything that she desired to repeat anytime soon. Even fighting the crazy general was better than fighting Maia when the senshi was fighting to kill.
She received the call for help and not even pausing, she grabbed her stuff and made her way to the park. The Saturn Squire wasn't surprised to see a gathering already, Maia and Shang were well liked and Pompeii realised that a large amount of order members were more then willing to help out a fellow white mooner. She kept a distance from the brother and sister but made sure Shang saw her. Pompeii hoped not to provoke Maia into another fight, their score would have to be settled later, first they had to make sure the senshi survived what ever was sending her off the deep end.

Phact had gotten the message from Shang as soon as he had sent it. It had taken some large mental convincing but Phact had known what she needed to do.
Coming through the trees to join the signatures gathering, Phact approached Shang while others ran to see to Maia. The concern and love was clear from those that knew Maia. Confusion in others. Phact was standing silently in caution. She had faced Maia before and gotten her behind basically handed to her.
Now, from what she saw, Maia was in control like she had been just long enough for Phact to still be alive.
So tonight was the night....

Nearby, where the small group of senshi and knights were currently congregating, Hannah leaned her back against one of the deciduous trees looking down at her pen in hand.
She was scared.
In her heart she knew that the Maia she encountered the last time wasn’t her friend. The girl who had in essence taken her in just shortly after her awakening and had taught her many things she would have otherwise been oblivious to. Both Lily and Xander had opened their home to her and yet here she was, standing so close yet so far away, trying to find the courage to utter the words to power up.
“I’m sorry,” Lord help me, I’m scared. Hannah’s grip around her pen tightened as she offered up a prayer. Even with her new henshin pen, she wasn’t entirely sure the magic she now possessed was enough to be of any use if a fight like before were to repeat itself while on Maia’s homeworld.
Calming herself, she drew in a deep breath and uttered the same words used every other time she powered up and within seconds the clothes she had been wearing were replaced by her new uniform. “Please Maia, hold on,” she pleaded.
Acrucis pushed off of the tree and approached the group, with a sad almost worried look on her face, and walked over to the familiar red head.
“Hi.” she spoke softly with a rueful smile on her face “Sorry I’m late.”
Shang gave a nod to Babylon when he walked up and shook his head, "no, not at all. I will explain when the other's turn up." He looked to his sister sitting on the grown and sighed lightly. Chaldene came over and Shang lifted a hand to ruffle his hair, being quite fond of him, "yes other's are coming."
He pointed as a blonde senshi went right to Maia and a knight came to stand beside Babylon. He'd seen them before, but did know either name. It was a comfort to see the senshi react as she did, but Shang went to to warn her away from his sister, "you.."
He was cut off by Maia before he got the chance, "Stay back Gany ... I'm not right ... I tried to kill my own brother ... and Pompeii and Acrucis ... and some other's. I'm not even sure everyone I came across lived ... probably not ..." She gave Gany a wicked sort of grin displaced on her face.
Shang interjected, "you have to fight it Maia. Come on." She walked over to her, "get up. The other's are gathering and we need to leave as soon as possible."
"I don't have the strenght, the energy for this ... I feel so unwhole," Maia .
Shang looked to Ganymede and Babylon noting the glow, "you are transcended right? Not exactly sure how that work, but Ida said some of you can give her a boost, um energy? Could you help with that?"
He felt a little out of place asking that, not knowing Ganymede at all and not knowing much about transcendeds. Maia looked confused, but also curious and slightly hopeful.
He looked to Shalott and Valhalla, "there isn't much to be done until we get there. I will explain in just a second what happened before we leave." He shook his head at Shalott, "I've sent out a message."
Another senshi [Pen], with quite a pattern came asking if Maia was alright, to which Maia gave a withering glare and wrapping her arms around herself tightly. In they came one after another and soon they had a decent sized group.
"Thank you for coming. In just a few moments we will be headed to Maia's planet to destroy a sort of chaos that has been trying to kill her. She's certain it came from a tainted grove on her planet and we thing the only way to save her is to destroy it."
Maia pulled out of phone of and shuddered, "unfortunately the only warning I can give it to beware of the shocking back seeds."
She opened her phone looking around at the other before closing her eyes to try to focus on her planet. He could here it singing, louder than ever, like the first time when Kurma took them to space. She felt calmed and more in control in that moment. She opened her eyes, "I think my planet is calling her, " she said holding a hand out to Shang.
He grabbed hold and he motioned for everyone who wasn't already gather round to do so. One moment they were standing in the park and the next they were standed in the middle of a dark grove, black and grey tainted trees surrounding them and dead in the center a very large looming obsidian color tree that leaked a tainted energy.
Maia broke away from the group turned and walking backward, he expression turning cold and cruel. "Welcome to Maia. You are all going to die here. This grove will be littered with you bodies."
She grinned and jumped over to the tree touching it and listening to a haunting shrieks it produced, nothing like the heart songs the trees normally produced.
A shock wave of electricity rolled for from the tree breaking into tendrils and shooting out to strike those standing around. Maia cackled and stood in front of the tree, "Sweet Harmony," she called out singing and watching the notes for in front of her spinning like a tornado outward towards the group.
Quote:
The tree throws electricity and it hurts be decently.
Sweet Harmony: Its a series of rather soft sweet notes, that Maia sings. When she makes her attack, she turns to face the target and as she sings, translucent rainbow colored notes fly toward the target and start float and circle him/her. The notes are fast in their approach. It causes her opponents calm down. Their heart rates slows and the will feel a bit sluggish. The effects only last for a minute after Maia's note ends.
The battle begins, I will try to get in a responce post as soon as every has rolled, but if not by 1pm EST.
You may roll every 3 hrs, regardless of whether I have responded or not. Roll one 20 sided-die for damage and another to see if the tree OR Maia hits you. 1-10 is a hit, 11-20 is a miss. ALL MAGIC effects the tree equally, as long as it is hitting the tree. +5 damage for magic You do not need to roll a damage die for an attack on Maia. The tree's HP will go up tomorrow night based on what was rolled during the day, to make sure its defeatable by Monday right at the earliest. This of course may run a little longer. A reminder, I think you've all actually read the plot, possible both versions. Everyone that is not transcended will be knocked out before Maia transcends.

Babylon glanced at Ganymede - he couldn't remember what form her transcendence had taken, or if she'd ever said the last time they'd seen each other. "I can do it," he said, stepping forward with his free hand outstretched. He looked uncertainly up at Shangri-la as he knelt by the senshi - Maia didn't seem to want the help, but she was clearly in a bad way. If there was ever a time to do this, it was now, right...?
He set his hand on Maia's shoulder. "Sorry for being all up in your bubble," he said, fingers twitching as energy moved through them. "Is that helping?" He didn't expect an answer - not with so much going on. The battlefield medic's job was to fade into the background, get things done, and not get in the way - wasn't it?
He took a knee, nodding along with Shangri-la's explanation. Chaos corruption on a senshi homeworld generally sounded pretty bad - he'd seen what kind of explosive results attempting to corrupt Avalon's wonder had resulted in, after all. But those who had gathered here seemed like they were to be along for the ride - so he could only hope that Shangri-la had the right idea, and this was even a winnable fight.
Anyway, okay, cool, they were in space.
Babylon had lost his hold on Maia at some point in transit, which was probably for the better since she appeared to suffer some kind of psychotic break as soon as they touched down on her planet.
He pushed himself to his feet, head spinning a little after the energy donation - Remember to drink lots of fluids and avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day, Babylon thought, to no avail.
"That looks bad," he said, re: the tree, turning towards the nearest familiar face - Ganymede. "Am I right in thinking that that looks bad?"
If Babylon had not stopped to wisecrack, he would have probably have noticed the spinning razor blade music notes of doom headed towards the group. Unfortunately, old habits died really hard.

Not rolling for damage, since I'm not attacking - just rolling to see if the attack hits Babylon. Can you please clarify how that works? Am I right in thinking that 11-20 means that Maia/Tree hits the character rolling?
She hadn't wanted to come out tonight. She never really wanted to go out any more, which was a horrible thing considering the oath she had sworn to her planet and herself. About doing what she could, being strong, helping people... Just another tally mark on the wrong side, building up to a sad conclusion.
Shang had called though, on behalf of Maia. How could she say no to that? She remembered the talk with the senshi in the hospital, the effort they all went to for her sake. She couldn't say no to them... as much as she was afraid to pick up her pen and the the light fill her.
At least Athene was with her, steady and calm as he always was. She was safe with him, as she was safe with the other people waiting when they finally arrived to the gathering. The idea was to get to Maia's planet... and with so many of them, there was no way for the senshi of song to transport everyone at once. Not without a little help... which was why Shang had called her.
Drawing herself up, Ida moved away from her team mate to join Maia and with the others who came, the eternal senshi pushed energy into her friend and let teleportation take her to the world she had heard about, but never seen.
Shangri-la's warning echoing in her head, Ida braced herself for the coming fight and as soon as Maia took off, she threw her arm into the air to call her bow to her hand.
"Heavenly Orchid Arrows!" Ida shouted as she took up her bow, drawing back the string to bring an arrow to life. She aimed and released, the glowing arrow roaring across the space to strike the tree and explode. Even as the attack connected, the tree returned the assault, sending a jolt through the purple-clad senshi that had her gasping in pain and recoiling, stumbling backwards.
