He was going to die.
This was what Xavier had determined as he sat in the gym, on the floor, legs crossed and his head in his clawed hands. He perhaps could have done a heckuva lot more than just sit there, but since he'd been trying to work up enough courage to do anything at all, this was at least progress from the fifteen minutes he'd sat sitting outside the gym.
Maybe if he sat there and thought really hard he'd be able to somehow magically gain fighting powers.

Considering that Ziven had made his first friend - a fellow villager, no less - in the gym, it was his first Favorite Place to wander to if there wasn't a class to attend.
That, and he really was curious about the glass-covered pool. Maybe it would be open this time!
He realized he was not alone a few moments after he'd come in. Who they were didn't matter nearly as much as the fact that they looked to be in distress, and Ziven was swift to start toward him.
"Hey there! Are you alright? Does your head hurt? Do you need help? I can assist!"

Xavier didn't look up at the footsteps, nor did he even realize that someone was intending on talking to him until the actual talking sounded - and then he jumped almost a foot in the air, because he was too busy moping to notice that someone had come up to him.
"Er," he said, thoroughly embarrassed, Xavier trying hastily to act like everything was just fine. "Erm...no...no, my head is fine..."
The boil was quite strange looking. He was trying not to stare, but...
"Would you like to spar?" Xavier blurted out, and he'd been meaning to say the first thing that came to his head, but really, he hadn't expected it to be that, Jacking hell.
