Becoming a Super Senshi didn't change Sailor Elpis' routine beyond a heightened sense of responsibility for Senshi at a lower stage. She had no idea what she was going to be good at beyond training yet, but she wasn't piddling to find out - she pushed after getting home from college to patrol. She worked hard to get herself going on patrol, staying out late unless called by ells or unless someone caught her for plans, and very slowly she was getting engulfed in working. Tonight was no different as the senshi walked down the route of the evening, stalking, moving, even if bored, with purpose and intent, and while she didn't feel chaos, part of her hoped it meant her aura fended something off now. She just didn't know what it would frighten.

Hadaya felt the aura of a stronger senshi in the area, though not as strong as Navi or Chaonis. They were both Eternals, after all, and he had only met a couple of others in this city so far. At least he knew the differences in aura powers, and this one seemed to be between Eternal and Scout. So, a super.
He was proud of himself for his conclusion, and his tail would have been held up high to reflect that good feeling, if he had one. But he didn't, so he just padded on the tip of his paws, almost prancing, as he moved toward the senshi.
Maybe she would need some help, or, more likely, could help him learn a bit more about things around here.
It took a lot of effort for him to catch up with her, jogging next to her legs to keep pace with her before he leaned toward her and rubbed her leg in greeting. It was not the best idea, since they were both moving, and he had a very bad habit of getting under foot at the worst times.

Sailor Elpis would have, indeed, tripped just then, and stumbled a moment before looking down, blinking before she grinned, stopping to wave to Hadaya with a half-grin on her face, the jaunty sort often reserved for less stressful moments. "Well hello, there." She greeting. "Nice to meet you, too."

Hadaya looked up at her with a broad smile on his little, fluffy face, eyes wide and innocent. He sat down, since she had stopped, to catch his breath. His tummy stuck out a bit around the sides, behind his paws as he sat up as straight as he could.
It was hard to look like a regal, lithe creature of confidence and wisdom when one was so very tiny, stumpy and fat.
But he was trying, at least.
"Good evening, miss senshi! Are you on your patrol? Would you like a little company? I uh. I mean. Not making a joke about my being little, though that probably would have been a good pun. If I hadn't pointed it out like that. I'm not very good at making jokes. Er. Well!"
At times like these, it was best for him to just shut his mouth and look up at who he was talking to hopefully, as if they could save him from his own rambling. That was what he did.

"Sounds good to me, pussycat." Elpis knelt, the Super Senshi offering Hadaya an arm to climb carefully. "I get out alone way too much. Name's Sailor Elpis. Super, I guess. How about you, my fuzzy buddy?" She grinned, and winked. "And besides, can't be safe for kitties out here alone. All sorts of Negaverse and whatnot out here." Not to mention Elpis was fond of cats - not at all, the senshi resisting simply plucking him up to nuzzle and offer ear and tummy rubs.

"My name is Hadaya! My senshi calls me Haddy. You can call me whatever you want! As long as you don't call me Fail Face, like Chaonis does."
He did not like Chaonis all that much.
It was probably because he got more attention from Navi/Elle than Hadaya did, most of the time, and the little cat was very jealous of it. He could not help himself, though he knew he had not been in Navi's life half as long as Chaonis had, and definitely had not been through as much with her...
But he was pretty sure he LOVED her more, because he was made almost entirely of love. Love and fluff.
"I'm not good at fighting. Or... anything, really, but I will try to help you on your patrol! At least I can keep your aura from being noticed by anything! That's good, right?"

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Hadaya." Elpis smiled, scratching a bit more as she smiled at the cat. "Now why would I call you Fail Face? Nobody fails so long as they make a concious well meaning effort." She reassured. At least, nobody on Order side did. She still wanted words with some. And possibly the Negaverse failed more. Dominantly because they hurt people. Internal rant not withstanding, the senshi blinked. "Don't need to fi-i-you can DO that?!" This was new. She had no idea what cats culd do, and dampening her aura was certainly new. New enough that Elpis seemed to look down at Hadaya with a look of wide-eyed awe and wonder. Just when she thought magic talking cats with magic pens were figured out, she learned something new. "You can DO that?! DUDE AWESOME!" What was dignity? Hers flew right out the window.

Hadaya tilted his head when she asked him about his nickname. It was like her question did not make sense to him. Why wouldn't she call him fail face? It was not a name he liked, true enough, but he certainly understood why Chaonis chose to give him that moniker.
He was not exactly the pinnacle of grace.
"I like the way you think!" he said, excited. No failing if he meant good? Then he was the master of all things not failing, because he always tried to do good! Plus, she seemed honestly excited about his one little ability, which made him feel like maybe he was not the complete waste of space he often seemed to be.
At least not all the time!
"Yeah, I can!" he said proudly, puffing out his little chest and looking very much like a fledgling bird with way too many feathers coming in at once, "As long as you're close to me, others won't be able to sense you from far off! Even if you can sense them!"

"But that's cool!" Elpis insisted. "I mean. I just wound people. But man, you have SKILL." The super senshi thus applied more scritches to Hadaya, beaming brightly in pride. "You have talent, kitty. Lots of it. So are you in need of practice with it? I'd be open to working on patrolling with you if you'd like practice."

Hadaya was delighted. he had never been so rewarded just for being himself before! It was a wonder: only Navi ever really gave him cuddles for just being the fat blob that he was. Yes, he had a few skills, like being able to dampen auras or shooting a laser from his forehead, but still.
Mostly he just fell off stuff and ate anything that smelled almost like food.
"I'm not sure how I'd be able to practice anything. I'm uhm. Mostly just kinda accident prone. But I can help you with your practices or patrols, any time you would like!"
He nuzzled her affectionately, but knew a small, round kitty had little to offer a super senshi as far as fighting and doing useful things went.

"I'd love that. I'm out nightly, if that helps. And," Elpis smiled, rocking Hadaya gently as the scratches continued. "There's nothing wrong with accident prone. And I know I need practice. The more I do mundane things, the better I get!" It made sense to her, but the workaholic also saw fit to pull all-nighters often. Luckily, none recently.

Hadaya purred contentedly, nodding his head along with her words, though he was having a hard time really paying attention. She had found a very nice spot for scratches, and he was particularly enjoying it. It was hard to hear, anyway, with his purrs so loud.
They were just reverberating in his head, and he was all too happy to pay attention to only that sound and the sensation of her scratches.
"Well, maybe we can come up with a plan," he said, snapping out of his daze and looking up at her with his big eyes, "and I can help you with patrols some time? I can meet up with you every now and then, and maybe we can both learn some stuff! I should probably be getting back to Navi soon, though..."
Whenever he was really happy, he thought of Navi, and that always just made him want to be near her. He couldn't help how much he loved her!

Elpis maintained the scratches, humming thoughtfully before nodding. "I'd like that. Could be fun, too." Elpis grinned, adjusting her grip to continue scratching fondly. "Would you like an escort back to your senshi? As a safety precaution?" Elpis felt fairly confident she could handle dangers that might harm her new fuzzy buddy, and felt not problems arose from challenging them. At all.

"Well, I don't really know where she is right now, but I think I will go back to the library and meet up with Camelot! He always knows which way to go. If he's out patrolling, then I know where I can look for her! I'm sure I'll find her!"
Of course, he was destined to get lost and spend hours wandering around until things got light enough to look familiar again, but he did not yet know that. He could not see the future, after all, and tried not to base his decisions now on the bad luck he had in the past.
What were the chances of something like that happening again, right?!
Anyway, tonight was clearly meant to be a good night, since he had managed to make a friend! He was feeling very upbeat and determined, and there was very little that was going to stop him now!
Except maybe a particularly high wall, or a deep puddle, or something like that.
"I think I'll be okay, I'll find her! I hope you have a good night, though, new friend!" He purred his words, almost cooing them out in his genuine happiness to know her now. Clearly they were meant to be friends forever.

"As long as you keep safe, little guy." Elpis nodded firmly, giving Hadaya a smile. She had no doubt the kitten would do his best, considering his capabilities, but she didn't know his luck yet. "If you need help, you can always track me down, to." Elpis assured, nodding. "I mean, I'm probably not as hard to find as I like to think."
