Even with having done so many favors for the villagers, she wanted to actually talk with a few. It had been difficult as most of them were still sort of keeping to themselves. Well, her and the others had arrived in a rather loud way of tumbling off of the back of their serpent guide.

Aureole probably wouldn't be happy either of being woken up to a large bus of students near her home.

But that aside, it was time to try and ask these people what the jack was up with their village! Cause it for sure wasn't normal. Well, normal was a relative term... But what she considered normal for a village and this wasn't it!

The peryton had thought it was strange that so many people wore cloaks. But she figured they were just cold from whatever weather that as causing the fog. Aureole was very used to the cold so she hardly noticed.

But to see so many of them in a small area... She was starting to think that it was just a part of their in clothing.

Aureole stepped around villagers that seemed a little more than obsessed with their feet, some that shuffled about and a cook. The foot smelled nice but she also didn't trust she could eat it. A moment passed before she found a villager that looked a might more approachable.

"So... Is the fog a regular thing here for you guys?" The villager she had been addressing was mostly passing her by.

He was around her height but even she couldn't get a glance at his face. Aureole normally liked looking into someone face when talking with them. Something she had had drilled into her from childhood.

Even with the lack of a face to properly look at while speaking with them, a hearty grunt was her answer. "So... Yes?" The villager continued on their way before she had stopped them with her question. Welp... She was going to assume 'yes.'

While she hadn't gotten quite the response she had been hoping to get from the previous villager, maybe she could approached another. And hope for a clearer answer.

Her amber gaze traveled from villager to villager, noticing that many of them were busy with something. Not all of them were busy with things that the peryton would have considered important. Several of the other students didn't look like they were having much of a chance either. Several getting offered food to only have a eaten in front of them. Wow... While Aureole wasn't one to turn down a chance for a joke but what with the circumstances, she probably wouldn't have done that. Or at least have a back-up fish to offer...

And it would seem that she wasn't going to have that great of luck with these creeple either.

Or she could have been watching where she was going.

Not a moment later did she stumble over a villager.

"Geez- oh! I'm sorry, I-" She got to her hooves and turned to apologize to the other that she had tripped over before freezing in place at the sight that greeted her.

The villager she had tripped over was asleep! On the ground! All curled up in the fetal position. And, surprisingly, still asleep. All that had noted that they were alive was the light grunt from being stumbled over and the slow rise and fall of their chest. Aureole peered down at the other, squatting down to look around at them. What an odd place to take a nap... Right on the ground. Not exactly a good spot and certainly not one Aureole would have chosen. Some where high in a tree or something was far better.

"Hey, you okay there?" She lightly poked the other with her index finger a few times. Another grunt left them before the turned over, facing their back towards the inquiring peryton.

Well, another dead end on questioning this villager.

Man, despite what she had done for this place, in her own ways, they still didn't feel like talking to her.
