Your character has been requested by a villager to kill an oversized, angry insanity-fused basilisk minipet. For some reason, they also want you to do this without your clothes.
You are given a towel to wear, and must go out and destroy the basilisk. The basilisk has 30 HP. You have 30 HP and regular dice mechanics*, because somehow not having your clothes has made you weaker. The basilisk does -3 damage every time you hit it. *By "regular dice mechanics," please use the dice equivalent to your student's level. If your character is a Y1 student or a guest, please use 2d6-6. If your character is Y2, use 2d8-6, etc.
- If you roll double dice at any point of this fight, your towel comes off, and you end up accidentally flashing everyone! You must leave the thread (battle) in embarrassment (your character cannot fight any more, though others can succeed you.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get a basilisk eye. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

What was with this town and fighting monsters?
Marosa tried to stifle a yawn as the villager explained how fighting the basilisk worked - he would have to take off his clothes to prevent the toxic miasma from contaminating him, or possibly becoming a carrier if he did wear his clothes.
If the gancanagh hadn't known any better, he'd swear that the villagers wanted to see each and every one of them naked - he was positive that he wasn't the only one that had attempted this particular errand.
Shaking his head in dismay, Marosa did as asked and took off the majority of his clothes behind a tree, taking the towel that was handed to him and wrapping it around his kilt before taking off the kilt and placing it on top of his other clothes.
Never let it be said that he wasn't modest.
Making sure the towel was very tightly wrapped, the gancanagh moved briskly towards the miasma'd basilisk, watching it hiss and roll over itself in a rather menacing manner.
"Oh no ye don't," Marosa retorted, stepping forward without another care and bringing his fist down to connect with the basilisk's skull. It roared at him and hit him with the top part of his body in an attempt to knock him down, but he only slid back in the mud and held his ground.
He stared at it with cool, golden eyes.

Both of them had accomplished in hitting each other, and both of them were hopping mad.
Well. At least the basilisk was. Marosa was just calculating his next maneuver without gaining too much damage in return, and slid to the side as the basilisk's tail slammed down on the spot he'd been.
Taking that chance to attack, the gancanagh let another punch fly, barely missing the full brunt of it. It glanced off of the basilisk's side, but still did a fair bit of damage before it recoiled away with another hiss of disdain.

The basilisk whirled and slammed its tail into his stomach, making the faerie's eyes water up.
Two could play at that game.
Grabbing the tail and dragging it closer to him, he punched the basilisk in the eye and watched as the eye welled up with water. Marosa could have sworn he heard the thing whimper, but he wasn't about to let up, and the basilisk hadn't been put down yet.
And it still looked like it had a good fight left in it...
So did Marosa.

Marosa could tell they were both tiring, with the halfhearted attempt from the weakening basilisk and his less powerful punches. He slammed the beast against the wall and kicked it away from him, watching as it curled up and gave him a very pointed glare.
The gancanagh's red hair whipped around him in the wind, and his gaze was cold. "Oi'm sorry," He murmured softly. There was no other way to remove miasma unless he could take this basilisk out temporarily.
There were other things at stake here.

He could tell that the basilisk was on its last legs - not literally, of course - and the faerie shot out another kick, making sure that the towel was on and wasn't going to fall down.
The basilisk wavered and groaned at him as it slid its tail under him and sent him to the ground. Marosa fell with a curse, sneering in dismay that he was now covered in mud and jack knew what else.
The monster was leering at him now, wary.

Scooting over to the beast in the mud, Marosa gave it a punch to its stomach, making it cry out in pain before passing out and landing next to him.
With a relieved sigh, the gancanagh stood up and nodded at the villager as he passed them, silently letting them know that the basilisk had been taken care of.
His clothes were right where he'd left them, and the faerie grimaced at the amount of mud that was on him, idly wishing that he'd done this before he'd gone fishing. He could have swam it off, but no. Fate had different ideas in store for him, it seemed.
Sighing and using the towel to wipe off most excess mud, the faerie popped his neck and succeeded in getting most of the brown muck off... he dropped the towel where it was and proceeded to put on the rest of his clothes in a quick manner, more than happy to feel normal in his own skin again.
Suppressing a shiver, he gritted his teeth and left the area.
Never again would he roll around in the mud. Especially with a basilisk.
